Work was done on 02/10/2020. Called Samuel, he was able work me in that same afternoon.. Replaced my old Sears ~2000 era 1/2 HP system with a Chamberlain wifi, very quiet belt drive, battery backed up, max, 1 1/4 equivalent DC motor with great features that I'm still enjoying. Samuel was finished within a couple of hours including adjusting the torsion spring. I don't suggest just anyone messing with those torsion springs. Samuel cleaned up everything when he was done.

The work was done very, very well. Alex gave us by-far the best quote for the work needed and didn't try to over-sell us things we didn't need. Alex did a perfect job installing a brand-new, high-tech Chamberlain motor to this second door and fixed the broken panel perfectly to match the other panels and the other door. In addition, he reinforced BOTH doors to make them stronger and prevent future breaks. He also modified BOTH doors to make them substantially quieter to open and close. The main door has a very old motor and used to be super loud when it was being opened or closed. Now, it is maybe 30% as loud as it used to be--a significant reduction. Alex also hit an unfortunate road-block when we realized we had bad-wiring in the house. He spent many extra, unanticipated hours working in the heat of the Texas summer to resolve the issue. He did an AMAZING job and is EXTREMELY professional and honest! Next time we or a friend need to have a garage motor replaced or fixed, we will be sure to give him a call! TLDR - Hire Garage Door King Services if: 1.) You want an HONEST assessment of your garage door situation. 2.) You DON'T want to be sold extra things that aren't necessary to resolve your issue. 3.) You want a FAIR price for the work being done. 4.) You want a commitment to EXCELLENCE and PROFESSIONALISM from the person you have asked for help.

Wonderful. He was very honest and I am soooo pleased with my new Chamberlain garage door that is so much quieter and I can control it from my phone. The installer even helped me setup everything!!!!

Sammy did a wonderful job and knew what he was doing. Very professional and honest. Response and work done timely! I went with belt drive...I've had chain & screw drive in the past...belt is so much more quieter. Would recommend!

Sammy from Garage King was honest from the start and gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision. Originally I had another company come out but didn't get the best vibes. I called garage king after reading reviews on Angie's List and he gave me a great price and went above and beyond to help me out. I actually chatted with him during the entire install and he was hardworking and hilarious at the same time! I will be contacting Garage King again when my garage door opener eventually breaks.

After a spring broke on a Sunday evening, my cars were trapped in the garage because the wood & fiber door was too heavy to lift. The first thing that impressed me about the Garage Door King Services listing was his hours: "All day" seven days a week. I contacted him thru Angie's List on Sunday night and he arrived at 6 pm Monday to replace the broken spring and the other old spring. He also lubricated the tracks, hinges and rollers. He's a hard worker. The price includes a 26% Angie's List discount coupon.

He arrived on time. Fixed the sensors so the doors now close properly. He fixed the intermittent light problem. Did a good job.

Perry Homes built a home for us in 2010 and they used a Wayne Dalton-manufactured garage door and tension system. 600 lb. metal two-car garage door. The Wayne Dalton is a proprietary design and is low cost, contractor grade only. Although it lasted for 8 years, it finally broke in June, 2018. Angie's list recommended Garage Door King Services of Houston. This is a 24/7 service. Called on a Friday afternoon, and scheduled an appointment for the following day between 9 and 10AM. "Sammy" arrived on time at 9:10AM, assessed the situation and agreed with me that the opener motor was fine but the spring was totally SNAFU. I asked how long it would take, and he said about an hour. Sammy had all the equipment, tools and parts required on his truck. He replaced the complete spring tension system with an upgraded system that was rated for 50,000 up actuations. Sammy was on time, very professional, had everything he needed and explained what he was doing as he performed the install. From beginning to finish, it only took about an hour and fifteen minutes. He also totally policed all parts and trash and hauled them away. There was no upsell. In the end, he gave me a $72 discount on the new spring system because I was "..a nice guy..". Obviously, Sammy doesn't know me very well. :) I paid with a check, and collected several business cards from Sammy to pass out as the need arises. Excellent service. Quality, responsiveness, and punctuality were exemplary. Pricing was good. Not inexpensive nor over-priced.

Very nice install...smooth and quiet. Had to pay extra for height, but that was expected.

I called GDKS and the repairman came directly to my house. He completed the repair quickly and efficiently. He was very professional and took care to avoid my new vehicle which had been "trapped" in garage due to the failed spring. He also replaced the old door rollers and lubricated both the door repaired and a second door. I was very impressed with the manner in which he completed the work.

This gentleman came in a very timely manner and had a replacement product on his truck, installed it the same day, working in the extreme Houston summer heat. He did a great job!

Everything was outstanding Sammie was very knowledgeable and had the 2 openers installed in a about 3 hours. Top of the line liftmasters they are very quiet and work great.

Sammy was FANTASTIC! We actually contacted him for a quote over a month ago on November 4th but we weren't ready to proceed with the services but my husband immediately trusted him and wanted him to do the work. Well we made the decision to move forward with the replacements for both doors on December 27th, so we immediately called Sammy and he made an appointment to come out the NEXT DAY at 9 am. He arrived on time, was totally prepared, and he appreciated that we had heaters in our garage since it was a cold day. He was polite, professional, fast, and he did a great job. He installed 2 Chamberlain garage openers, a keypad, and programmed each remote to work with both doors. You can barely hear these things open and close, they are awesome, and have Wi-Fi. He warranties his install and the product. We would gladly use him again if needed.

He was courteous, prompt, responsive and fair priced. Knowledgeable of the products gave options and explained what he was doing before he started. Would recommend and use again.

It went better than I could have ever expected. The technician called me within 30 minutes of purchasing my Angie’s list deal, offered to come that same day, and was right on time for our scheduled appointment the next day. Our doors are heavy and old and he could have tried to sell me a lot more than i really needed but he didn’t. He simply offered to come back when the time came to do additional reviews. He was easy to communicate with and even spent time chatting with my very inquisitive four year old about everything he was doing. I was so impressed!
