Description of Work: I inherited old chairs from my Aunt that my grandfather had made. The value of the chairs wasn't much but the sentimental value was priceless. One chair I was afraid to sit in and the other showed a lot of wear. After Fred was finished with them they look great. Now I have a chest(my grandfather built for his daughters) I will be taking to him to restore

Description of Work: Excellent quality work done in a timely manner to formal dining room chairs. A different repair company did poor craftsmanship to the chairs; so brought them to Fred Woodall and the end results were fantastic.

+ -1 moreI explained to Mr. Woodall we had not purchased the used table and were basing our decision for purchase on the total costs we would incur, i.e. purchase price and refinishing price. He was the second vendor I contacted and his quote was very reasonable ($1600.00 +/-). I also viewed his website which indicated his company was a long standing business with a good reputation/client testimonials. What I really want to share with Angie's List members, aside from his prompt and reasonable quote, is the honesty I received from him. He told me there was the possibly of issues down the road with the finish over the brass inlay. He said the finish may be long lasting BUT it may not be as well due to expansion and retraction of the brass. He recommended we keep looking for a table in a very professional manner. Mr. Woodall's quote was $300.00 less than the first re-finisher I contacted. The first re-finisher actually called me a week later and stated he could lower the price. I will contact him in the future for any refinishing needs based on this experience.
Description of Work: I contacted Mr. Woodall regarding a quote for refinishing a 16 ft. x 6 ft. conference room table which had a brass or brass like inlay around the perimeter of the table.
