It went fine.

These tile workers worked long hard hours getting the job done. They even worked thru the weekend to complete the job to accomdate the rest of the build out. "They are the Best of the Best"

Absolutely beautiful job! The tile work was the best I have seen in a long time. They cleaned up each night before leaving. A joyful group of workers that went above and beyond the call of duty. Helpful,courteous,honest,punctual.

David was extremely helpful and professional from start to finish. He was very knowledgeable about both design and practical use of products recommended by his company. A great group of employees who were honest, happy, clean, polite and helpful. I highly endorse this company and recommend their services to anyone needing exterior or interior work. Do not confuse 5 Star Painting (a different company) with 5 Star Painting and Remodeliing. Make sure you talk with David Summers of 5 Star Painting and Remodeling.

We didn't hire 5 star for our repairs.

This took a little longer than we thought it would. The work was okay. They are priced too high for me. They were always very prompt.

The took about a week to paint my house. And they did an outstanding job. They were extremely responsible and easy to work with and the workers were polite and friendly. They did absolute, first rate A+ quality work.

I have never had a better experience with a remodeling company. They are clean, courteous, punctual and very professional. They helped me every step of the way with both design and construction. My highest recommendation!

We are satisfied with the new look of the area but there are a number of imperfections which mar the project. There was far more stress on us to get a satisfactory end than was justified by the premium cost. Mr. Summers mostly tries to do the job the owner desires based on his understanding. He was very good about getting his subs back over here to fix things. But, there were issues around lack of knowledge (e.g. paint finishes, light colors) and lack of attention to detail (e.g. the front door frame is too short, had to be pieced on the bottom, the windows are too deep for the casement, no blinds will fit, the outside sill of the windows was left lower than the wood around it creating a trough (he fixed the sill)). Also, one of the workers broke a glass shade on our chandelier no big deal until he substituted unlike shades and we had to mention it to him (he did take care of it after that). Bottom line-quality of work is out of line with the price.

I called and left a message to schedule an appointment for an estimate about 2 weeks ago, but no one ever called me back.

Dave was very professional and appeared accommodating. My wife and I walked him through the house and pointed out what work we would like to have done. This is where we made our mistake, we should have been taking notes as we did so. Dave's workmen arrived a month later on schedule and did a very good job on the work that they did. The problem that I encountered is that Dave's contract did not include all of the work we had discussed. I suppose it is my fault for not reading more closely, but I assumed that he included everything we talked about in his general descriptions. For example, he did not pressure wash the garage. Why would I only have the house pressure washed? During the pressure wash, Dave's workmen damaged some of the exterior paint. When I pointed it out, he visited and said that it was because my 2 1/2 year old house's original paint was crappy. He then wanted to charge me for the repair. He said a workman would come out to the house, but he did not show.

They did a great job and they did it quickly. They even did a little extra work at no charge to us.

Dave came out and gave us a free detailed estimate and described the extra prep and caulking to be done. We had received other estimates before Five Star but we went with them because we liked the presentation and attention to detail explaining exactly what would be done, as well as Dave's knowledge of painting. He came out on a Saturday and when we accepted the proposal his crew went to work right away. The job went without incident and was completed in a timely manner. The workers were professional and courteous and the work site was kept neat. Dave took care of all of our questions and concerns and the completed project looks great!

The crew and foreman were on the job each consecutive day as weather permitted until the job was finished. More than average care was taken to protect elements of the property from paint drops. The work practices of the crew was highly professional.

5 Star had a very good sales package to bring for us to examine. We checked with 3 references who raved about his service. He instilled a great sense of confidence for us immediately. He was able to walk around the house and point out bathroom changes we could do to add immediate comfort and value that we hadn't even seen, and he did this in a way that we trusted and didn't find ''up-salesmanship'' at all. He brought in a very professional, accountable, considerate, and clean team that went out of its way to make sure the disruptions were minimized. We felt comfortable giving him a set of keys for full access. Each night he called us to give a status update and explained delays, trying to pin down electrician, etc. It took about 4 weeks to complete. Some grout came out of the guest bathroom about a month after the job, and he came right over and replaced it. We would recommend him for any remodeling, and he made our first remodeling experience more smooth than we expected.

I called Mr. Summers and he told me he is booked a couple of months in advance. He was very courteous. I appreciate he was up front about this, as a lot of other painters have strung me along in this circumstance by not being upfront about what their schedule looks like.

David is a nice person and very professional. He came on time for the initial visit, however, he took too long to give me a quote. He asked me to go to a Granite shop but I never got a quote on the countertop even two weeks later. The kitchen cabinet quote was very high. I went with another company.

DAVE SUMMERS WAS VERY POLITE AND ARRIVED ON TIME. HIS CREW DOES VERY HIGH QUALITY WORK. THEY SANDED THE WROUGHT IRON, APPLIED A BASE COAT BY HAND AND THEN TWO MORE BLACK COATS BY HAND. THEY MATCHED THE PAINT FOR THE OUTSIDE DOOR WITH WHAT HAD ORIGINALLY BEEN USED. CLEANED UP WELL AFTERWARDS, AND FIXED ANY LITTLE DEFECTS THEY FOUND, INCLUDING REPLACING AN OUTSIDE FAUCET THAT WAS LEAKING AFTER THEY USED IT. THEY WERE EXPENSIVE, BUT YOU PAY FOR QUALITY.

ALL WORKERS WERE POLITE AND INFORMATIVE. MR. SUMMERS WAS PATIENT AND EXPLANATORY CONCERNING THE JOB. VERY WELL SATISFIED.

DAVID AND HIS CREW DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB. THEY WERE METICULOUS IN THEIR WORK AND STROVE FOR THE HIGHEST STANDARD IN ALL REPAIRS. HIS CREW WORKED EVERY DAY AND LEFT THE HOUSE CLEAN EACH TIME. THE COMPANY DOES ONE REMODELING JOB AT A TIME, SO THE PROJECT TOOK HALF THE TIME AS OTHER ESTIMATES. DAVID GAVE US HIS FULL ATTENTION AND CAUGHT THINGS BEFORE WE EVEN SAW THEM. WE LIKED HOW THE QUOTED PRICE WAS FIRM, AND CHANGES WERE DOCUMENTED IN WRITING. THIS IS A VERY PROFESSIONAL COMPANY; I DEFINITELY PLAN TO USE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

I WOULD USE FIVE STAR AGAIN FOR ANY OF OUR REMODELING AND PAINTING NEEDS. THEY WERE EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB. IN FACT, THEY DID A NICER JOB THAN OUR ORIGINAL HOME BUILDER. THE WORKMEN WERE EXTREMELY COURTEOUS AND MADE AN EFFORT TO CAUSE AS LITTLE DISRUPTION TO OUR SCHEDULES AS POSSIBLE. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT IN GIVING BIDS AND COMPLETING THE WORK. WE WERE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK.
