I will always use Ferguson's for electrical work in the future. The electrician was scheduled to arrive at 3:30. Because of traffic problems on the freeway, I was slightly late in arriving and was relieved to discover the electrician (Jeff) was still waiting for me. He was business-like and efficient but took time to be kind to my curious and eternally pesky 5 year old daughter. The work was done promptly. Best of all, Ferguson's price was MUCH lower than other companies. I used Universal for similar work last month and the price charged was over twice as much with fewer lights being installed. In conclusion, I rank this company highly because of good customer service and great prices. I would recommend Jeff and Ferguson's to anyone.

I put off replacing knob and tube wiring since I purchased this house in 2008. Since purchasing the house, I've had at least four different electricians (excluding Ferguson) provide quotes to replace the knob and tube wiring. Quotes ranged from 10,000 to 25,000. One company quoted me 5,000; however, I could never get them to show up and do the work. My wife found Ferguson's on Angies List. The owner, Pat, arrived when he said he would and provided me a time + materials quote. He gave me a "best case" and "worst case" price range, with 5,000 being the "worst case" (i.e., the City requiring repairs/upgrades to out-of-scope items). Low and behold, the City inspector did in fact raise issues with electrical items on which Ferguson's wasn't hired to peform work. In other words, the increased price was through no fault of Ferguson's. In fact, I was appreciative of Pat forewarning me that the City inspector may take issue with certain out-of-code items. All in all, I am extremely pleased with the work Ferguson's performed. My top 5 reasons why I will hire Ferguson's from here on out for electrical work and why I will recommend him to friends as well as Angies List subscribers: 1.Price - Most competitive price I found over a 3-year time period. 2. Punctual - Ferguson's always arrived when they said they would. 3. Responsive - I called Pat's cell number numerous times over about a 3-week period while the work/inspection took place. Not once was I sent to voicemail. Pat answered every single time. He never sounded "put out" with me or my [uneducated] questions about the work his guys were doing. 4. Dependable - I'm renting this house out. The day after Ferguson's completed the work, my tenant called to inform me the A/C wasn't working. Hoping that the A/C issue had something to do with the electrical work, I called Pat. It was a Saturday. As always, he answered my call immediately. In 30 minutes, his guys were at the house, hooking up a wire that was mistakenly not reconnected. Mind you, this was all on a Saturday afternoon. 5. Honest - I believe all of my other comments evidence Pat's/Ferguson's honesty. For example, some people would not have admitted that the A/C wire referenced in #4 was mistakenly not reconnected. Of course, after getting to know Pat over the past few weeks and the way he operates his business, I was not the least bit surprised by his honest response.

I was going to put it in myself and when I got to it I decided that I would call someone to do it. the comments people made as well as the location. I also read what he does. I also made sure he was certified. And just sounded like a good bet. And he did a good job. I am getting ready to call him again.

The electrician arrived about 30 minutes late. He said he could tell us before he looked at everything that the problem was not in the house, but most likely a transformer problem & suggested to call the power company. He did check out our meter to make sure everything was okay. Since he was already here, we ask about a quote to do the other work that we needed. He said we could get a quote on everything, but it should only take a few hours so we might as well just have him do it now and pay by the hour. We agreed to that thinking that the price was reasonable for a few hours of work. He ended up being here about 6 hours and finally we told him that we had a previous appointment and we had to leave, that the job would have to be completed later. There were about 8 switches that were not completed (some rooms had switches that he overlooked or forgot to change while others in the same room were completed). The celing fans were not repaired, and the kitchen light was not installed. I called the company on Wednesday morning and let them know I was not satisfied with the time it took to complete the job and that part of the work was not completed. I ask them to give me a quote on finishing the project. I was told that they would get back to me, but I have not heard from them.

Ferguson Electrical was a pleasure to work with. He was willing to work with us and our tenant. I appreciate his service. Would recommend him to anyone!

It could not have gone better. He had to move furniture, be a detective to find the problem and could not have been more pleasant, professional and affordable.

Mr. Ferguson tested all the many wires in the box and showed me which ones did what. He wired the new switch and made sure my dimmer switch worked also. He tested the outside lights to make sure they worked before he left and adjusted the settings on the lights. They had settings for a motion detector and also dawn to dusk.

Mr.Ferguson was promp, professional and very personable. He arrived on time, identified my problem and made a date to fix it. I was very pleased with his work and received a discount for using "Angie's List." I will recommend him to others.

They showed up on time and within about ten minutes of walking in the door, getting the rundown of what we needed done, they were off and running. They were quick, efficient, and so nice to work with. They cleaned up and made sure to ask if they needed to do more (e.g., breakdown the boxes from our lighting fixtures). I would not only recommend them to anyone in need of electrical service, but for any of my future electrical needs, they are my go-to company.

Patrick was at brunch celebrating a family birthdsay when we called for service. He was so very nice about our interrupting his meal and said he would be over in about 90 minutes. He arrived almost to the minute of his promised time (on a Sunday) and got right to work figuring out what our problem was and correcting the issues. Very nice guy, highly professional and great prices. This is our compamy of choice when we need electrical work in the future.

All work went very well. Everything works as planned. They performed well even in the extreme heat of an East Texas summer. Cleanup was wonderful. No old, dirty wire and broken wire nuts/electrical tape lying on the ground everywhere. A lot of companies would leave that for you to pick up. They were concientious about all the sweat they produced, to the point that they have extra dry clothing in their trucks, as well as towels.

The electricians had some difficulty finding the access point to complete the re-wire job (this is an old house). But they were persistent and thorough - successfully completing the work to my satisfaction. Very polite and professional!

He did a great job. I was very happy with him. He was honest, capable, and hard working. He did the job as required. I didn't feel like I was being over charged. He did an excellent job. He was very meticulous and very clean. He made sure everything worked properly. He took time to explain what he was doing. He showed me one of the hiccups and showed me what it was. I will definitely recommend him to my friends to. I will absolutely use him in the future.

I have an old, problematic electric panel with a few breakers tripping on a regular basis. One breaker failed completely, causing a power outage in 1/3 of my home. I needed same-day service, and on a late Friday afternoon to boot. After calls to five different electricians, I dialed Patrick Ferguson who answered and was at my home within an hour. Patrick identified the issue and resolved it quickly and knowledgeably. He was very friendly, affordable, professional, and responsive. He even ran a test on a breaker that turned out to be overloaded and requires further wiring. He was my savior and a very nice guy on top of it. Let me add that Universal Electric also reviewed my issue prior to Patrick. I paid over $300 for a service call and diagnosis, only to be told I had no choice but to replace my panel for over $3,000. They refused to offer a temporary repair. Patrick resolved my issue for only $120. Patrick's bid to replace the panel was much less, and I'll be contracting with him for that service soon. It's not often I've encountered a contractor who is so honest, trustworthy and easy to work with. My advice to Angie's List members is to use Patrick over the big companies - you'll save a lot, avoid communication problems, and contribute to small business entrepreneurship that Houston needs.

The bid process was smooth, with no additions. There were several draws because of the expense of this project, but the punch list was completed without question before the last check was written. The company pre-ordered all the components in advance and was completely ready for the install when they arrived. Previous to the install, they came out and poured a 6' X 8" concrete slab for the generator. It's the best concrete work I have ever had done. They also answered all my concerns about this type of generator and were my laison with the manufacturer. I was totally reassured about this expensive a purchase. They had to roll the generator into the back yard on large pieces of pipe because of the weight, and nothing was damaged during placement. They hand-dug all the trenches for the piping because of limited accessibility in the yard and the trenches were exactly the right depth and width. They even took the time to replace a gravel walkway that had to be dug up to make way for the piping. You cannot even tell that the walkway had been disturbed. The professionalism with which they handled the city inspector was outstanding. And the electrical work is top-notch. Everything works just as they said it would. They even spray-painted the piping that showed above the ground to blend with the surrounding foliage. There were no surprises or disappointments. All in all an A+ job.

We've used Patrick's services three times now since we moved into our home last November, and he and employees have been awesome. Very trust-worthy. Will definitely be calling him back out in future!
