Eric Herrera Tile

This is the second time that I have used Eric Herrera and I am so very pleased. I had a 3x6 subway tile backsplash installed by Efrain. It was done perfectly and professionally. Thanks so much.

Eric's workers showed up on time, went right to work and completed the job in a few hours. The new grout looks better than the original.

I was very pleased with how quickly Eric could come out and give me an estimate, even after I had to re-schedule. His workers showed up on time, and finished the work in one day, rather than the day and a half that was estimated for the job. I was very pleased with how well they cleaned up. Eric was also very helpful in helping me get someone to re-install the shower glass after he rebuilt the tile wall in the shower. The work was very nicely done, and I couldn't beat the price.

Eric came out and gave me and estimate. He is an awesome and very personable individual and speaks english and spanish extremely well. His guys are related to him or he has known them for years and years. they acted professionally and did the job quickly and did it well. His prices beat everyone else's I checked and with his high rating on Angies I was confident that he was the best choice and I was not disappointed.

Eric answered when I called and came over to look at the job the same day! We scheduled the service for the day after and a member of his crew showed up on time (actually a little early but not inconviently so) and did an awesome job of scraping out some bad grouting and caulked our shower in a color that matched great and the cauking is very, very neat. Eric is very nice, honest and straight forward and so was his crew.

Excellent experience. They were on time and kept the job site neat and clean. They did such a good job I have used them again for other tiling needs. There prices were very competitive.

Eric and his brother, Efrain, came out personally to inspect the job and provide an estimate. He gave me several references, all of which I called and received great reviews from. Efrain is the person in charge of actually laying the tile and managing the crew of workers on the job. We provided the tile and the grout, which we purchased at Lowe's and had delivered to our house before the job started. The job took several days, and they had to move the refrigerator, freezer, washer and dryer, remove & reinstall the water heater in our utility room, and remove an old toilet and reinstall a new toilet in our half bath. They were very careful in laying out the tile and installing it. We had selected two different tiles -- one for the breakfast area, kitchen, & half bath, and another style for the entry hall. After tearing out the travertine and installing the tile we had chosen for the entry hall, it was apparent that we didn't like the tile we had chosen for the entry hall as well as we liked the tile for the rest of the house. So, the next day we had them remove the newly installed entry hall tile and replace it with the same type of tile we used for the rest of the house. They did this without a problem, but it did involve some additional cost to us for the double work they had to do. After the job was finished, there was still some grout residue on some of the tiles and several areas where the grout was discolored slightly. We called Eric about it, and without hesitation, he said there would be no problem and he would send someone back to fix it to our satisfaction. The next day, he sent one of the workers back to completely clean the entire floor and fix the grout to make sure we were satisfied with his work. Efrain ran the installation crews, and you could tell they were experienced at what they do. Eric was also personally involved in the job, but was not there all the time - he was the project manager and would come and go periodically. He always answered the phone, or else would call back immediately if the message went to voice mail, even in the evenings. I would definitely hire him again.

It was excellent. The price of the bid was just for the labor. Eric was absolutely wonderful. He was a super guy. He was very professional. He gave me his opinion on various options and how he would do transitions and the thresholds from one tile to another. He was very informative. There was no hard sell. He was here within 45 minutes of the time I called him. I would consider using him in the future for this job or any other job.

I was impressed with how clean they got the tiles, which were heavily rust stained, and how new our showers look now. Service was very fast as well, phone calls were returned promptly and work started the next day. They were very courteous.

My wife and I did some of the prep work in advance of their arrival just because we had time. We removed the baseboard and carpet and some of the tile. When they arrived they completed the removal task and began the prep work for the tile. The crew was on time and worked very hard. They paid attention to detail that would insure a nice looking finish in the end. They offered suggestions that were very helpful to us. We will use them again in the near future.

They did a nice job, were quick, and I really liked them. They gave me a really good price. A problem I had was that they left a rug there.

Eric gave us a free estimate that was exactly the final price. His worker did excellent work on retiling a bathroom around a tub. We bought the tiles and grout, they provided other materials like sheetrock. The work was done in a timely manner and very professionally. The "B" for punctuality is because they worker arrived on time but stayed way beyond waht we expected the first day. It worked out, but if we had had to go out that evening, we would not have be able to do so. He stayed late to get to a good stopping point, so that is good. Anyway, the work was great, the price was right, and we would definitely recommend Eric Herrera Tile to other consumers.

They did an oustanding job of floating the step and floor to ensure proper water runoff, which I confirmed my self with a leveler. They also had to properly float the new wall tile to make sure there were no humps from the old tile to the new tile, which they did. Eric's brother and a helper did the work, but eric came by with supplies on several occasions to ensure that the installation was going as expected. I was very impressed with their attention to detail and overall concern for customer satisfaction. My wife and I loved the finished look and feel once they were done. The other bids I received for this work were at least twice as much as Eric's. However, their 20 plus years of experience was very evident in the quality of the installation work and the end result. I am hard to please.

We saw Eric's profile on Angie's list so called him one Sunday; he came over later that afternoon to measure. Eric explained some aspects of laying tile that we had not been told by other companies who had come to measure, specifically about the importance of proper preparation of the floor before laying tile. He measured and went through the quote item by item so we completely understood how the quote had been put together (again, we had not received this level of detail from prior quotes). Due to budget constraints we had to put the entire project on hold, but we do still have Eric's quote and would definitely consider using him if we are able to move ahead.

It was great. He was able to come out less than 48 hours after our initial call for an estimate. We scheduled the work for the following weekend, and he and his partner came out that Saturday morning. They were done in less than 1 hour! I had provided him the color grout for both bathrooms, and he showed up with the correct caulking that matched exactly the grout color, even one that had to be special ordered as it was not a standard color. Their work is professional, competitively priced. He is very friendly, very competant, leaves no mess after he leaves, and now it's been a month after the work has been completed and both showers still look the same as right after he finished.

I was very impressed with the entire process. Eric came the same day I called him to give me a bid. I thought the price was very fair and had the work started the following day. Eric's brother Efren and another tile installer came and knocked out the tile installation that next day. The cuts were beautifully done and the transition was done meticulously. The following day, the grout was installed perfectly. Eric came by to check on the work the second day and gave me grout sealer to use later on. I have kitchen back splash to be installed in a few weeks and I intend to have Eric and his team do the work. Thanks Eric.

Eric is a super nice guy. He showed up quick for the original quote and had a very competitive bid. He also had very good sugestions but was not at all pushy with his opion. We called him a few days later to do the work and he had his two workers at the house ready to work within an hour after calling him. They did an excellent job and I would use them again for any future tile work The tile looks great and we're very pleased.

My experience with this company was excellent. The owner, Eric Herrera, came to my home to give me an estimate for the work and answer all my questions very soon after my initial phone call. We scheduled a date for the work and he called the evening before to let me know the time he would arrive. He also called the next morning when he was 20 minutes from my home. He and his brother arrived right on time. The job - tile, grout and sealer - was completed in about 6 hours. They were careful about keeping the work area protected and cleaned up everything before they left. I could not be happier with their work. It looks great. I have rounded corners in my home and they went to the trouble of laying the tile to wrap around the corner of the bar rather than create a 45 degree corner that would have been easier but would not have matched the shape of my baseboard. I really appreciated the attention to detail and the tidiness. The brothers were polite, friendly and professional. The price was very reasonable and about half of what another Angie's List tiler estimated to do the job. I would definitely use Eric Herrera Tile again.

Eric responded within the hour to my initial phone were he gave me an estimate. He, also, gave me some design suggestions. I had the tile pick out and purchased. They installed it within the week of me picking up the tile. His labor cost estimate was $525.00 for the job and that's exactly what was charge (no surprises). They did an excellent job. I was so happy with the way things went that I used them for 2 additional jobs (sealing/staining the kitchen floor grout & tiling the kitchen island). I'm very happy with the work and the way I was treated.

We actually found Eric's name on Angie's list and call him. Eric's company was the only one we could find who specialized in tile AND had a good reputation on the list. The others were just GC's who subcontracted the work to a tile guy. The GCs wanted to charge twice as much to get their 'cut'. Eric was very knowledgeable about what needed to be done and responded with a very competitive quote. He was very flexible with the start date...he said "just call me when you are ready". I called him and he came out the next day to do the work. His team was very careful and kept their work clean (they had to walk through carpeted areas to get to the work). His crew was very polite and we were comfortable leaving them in our house when we had to go to work. The finished product was outstanding. We are very picky and we found no flaws in their work and it looks awesome.

It went very smoothly and well overall. Mr Herrera had 2 workmen do work promptly. It was completed 3 days after estimate. His employees arrived at scheduled times, and were both courteous and excellent workers. Eric came in and out several times while work was being done to check on status of job. I am very pleased with the work done and plan on having Mr Herrera and his men lay floors upstairs in bathrooms and vanity areas in the near future.

Work was done professionally with diligence for keeping as much dust down as possible. The men were extremely diligent, very good at their skill, and trustworthy. As a result from back surgery/infection, I was unable to move my washer, dryer, refrigerator, and cabinet. They did this as well as putting them back in on the new floor. they were very helpful!

It went so well. Eric is so easy to deal with, his guys got right to the work, did a great job and limited the mess (as much as is possible when tearing up tile floors).
