Eric Herrera Tile

The whole experience was great. Eric came by an provided an estimate for he work and once we agreed, provided a start date. His team arrived on time and on schedule, kept things neat and were professional. They encountered a few unexpected difficulties (this was an 80 year old house), made adjustments and did not charge extra for the work. The finished product looks awesome.

Eric came by the day after I called. I explained that this was a job of needs not wants. We needed a new shower. He said we didn't really need a new shower, the wall tiles looked fine. He said the shower floor might need replacing (tiles were coming up). I showed him various other things I might want done. We had two small upstairs bathrooms with old vinyl floors that needed replacing (about 80 feet total). He suggested we also caulk the tubs in the bathrooms. I also asked him to clean and reseal the floor in the master bath. He said he could start the job in about two weeks. I asked him about tile and he told me I needed to select the tiles myself and buy sanded grout. He suggested Floor and Decor and I went out and got samples to decide what I liked. He was kind enough to come out and help me evaluate my tile choices from the samples I selected and to give me an additional price to break out and replace 13 chipped tiles in my kitchen floor (13 x13 tiles I had from the original install more than 15 years ago). I also asked for a price to regrout and seal the kitchen countertops. He actually started the job a week earlier than expected. They were professional, efficient and finished in a day and a half! We did have two problems, but he corrected them quickly and easily. I would recommend him to friends and when I remodel the master bath I will definitely use his company!

They did an excellent job. Would not hesitate to hire again in the future.

They were incredible and are from Angie's List. They had to come and fix what they could with a mess from a previous contractor. They worked harder and came back 4 times. If I had gotten them to do the previous job, the mess could have been prevented.

Our bathroom floor looks fantastic!! Eric dispayed such promptness in returning our call and staying in touch & care in completing the project. His entire crew were very skilled, respectful and professional. It was obvious that they had a ot of experience. When they finished, the bathroom was left very clean. I am so pleased and will definitely use them again. Also, I would refer them to a friend.

There are only a small handful of contractors I've used that I have/would rehire. Eric is one of those. This is the second time I've used Eric for tile-related work. The process went very smooth. I called Eric to come out and provide a quote for the work, on short notice. He came out when requested and provided a fair quote. A couple of days later I called Eric to schedule the work. Augustine and another gentleman arrived as scheduled. It took two days for them to complete the work. Eric came onsite the afternoon of the first day to check on the progress. As with my first experience (when Eric personally performed the work), the attention to detail was excellent. Augustine took the time to do the job correctly and I am pleased with the results. I still have some more tile work to do. Eric will be my first call when I am ready.

The tile job went very well. I contacted Eric to come to my house and see the fireplaces I wanted to have tiled. He came to my house in the pouring rain, delayed by only a few minutes depsite the lousy weather. I showed Eric the glass tile sample I wanted to use, he measured and later contacted me to let me know that the tile I had chosen was VERY expensive and suggested that I probably could find something similar for less . I looked around and did not find a glass tile that I liked better, but looking around made me realize that I could do the hearth in a less expensive larger format tile where there was more material required. And I used the more expensive glass tile where there was less material required, but gave it greater impact. It looks really beautiful and was considerably less expensive for the cost of the tile and his suggestion to look for an alternative helped me to find something that was really better. His staff arrived on time and were neat, respectful of my home, courteous, pleasant, even explained and consulted with me when decisions needed to be made. I would most definitely use Eric again.

Actually, Eric was very prompt, he showed up for the appointment, very set so he could give me an estimate. He struck me as someone who really knew what he was doing. His crew showed up exactly when he said they would and finished in almost exactly the time they said it would take. They did not make a mess at all. If you didn't know what you were looking for, you couldn't even tell they came.

They were able to match the tile to the original tile from the 50s which was great. They did great work and the price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend them to others. I got a discount for Angie's List members too!

I sent an email requesting an estimate Saturday evening, was contacted on Sunday and the estimate visit was on Monday. You cannot ask for more than that. Eric was on time for the appointment while I was not. He waited, which I truly appreciate. I received a written estimate with each area separately outlined, but without identifying separate costs for labor and materials. He did not tell me how many hours this job would take, but I also did not ask. It appears that almost all of the costs are labor. Eric did explain this is a labor intensive project, the bathroom specifically as the tiles are the original small tiles, the grout lines narrow and the risk of chipping or breaking is increased. (I have no extras). I gave a C for pricing, not great, not bad, but more than I am willing to pay for what the outcome will be. As a result, I have decided to do the bathroom work myself as a temporary fix and probably replace the tile completely at some future point. I plan to wait on the other tile areas as the problems are cosmetic and minor. They can be addressed with another flooring project, planned for later this year. Overall Eric presented as a very nice, personable and professional man who seems to know his trade. I would be comfortable contacting him again.

Eric prepared a quote the same day he came out to measure the area to be tiled. Once I picked up the tile, I called Eric and we scheduled the work for a few days later; Eric accomodated to the schedule and I am grateful for that. Augustine was punctual and very professional. He did an excellent job especially because I had 12x24 tiles and requested a 1/16 grout line and the floor looks great. The work was completed within the time frame. I am very happy with the end result and I do recommend Eric and his crew. I have another bathroom I will need to redo and I will use his services in the future.

Eric and his crew were great! I called Eric about a month ago requesting a quote, and he was able to give me a quote that same day (about two hours after my call). I told him I would call him when I could get the work completed (we had water damage and needed the sheet rock repaired before the flooring was put in), and he said to just give him a few days notice. We scheduled for 12/12 and his crew was out at our house from 9AM to 530ish PM the first day and completed the work by Wednesday afternoon. They worked hard and the result was incredible. Our floors are very uneven because of our foundation issues, and Eric suggested buying extra tile in the event that the foundation causes a tile to crack. I would definitely hire him again for any of my tile needs!

They were very good. The pricing was fair and he worked with me on the cost. Initially the grout was stained the wrong color but they came back the day after I called to fix everything and did a great job.

We were delighted with our experience with Eric Herrera Tile. They provided a very fair estimate for the work done and they did the work so well! We had experienced problems with a shower installed in 2010 by a different company, and though the installer came back to recaulk, we had persistent problems with water leaking under the caulk. We have this problem no longer--Eric Herrera Tile made our shower air tight. While they were here giving me the estimate, I had them check another bathroom which is now water tight as well. The damaged floor tiles they replaced for us look GREAT. We couldn't be more pleased with the time and effort they took to insure an excellent job!

He is definitely exemplary in his field. The job ran a little bit more than we had anticipated. We have a master bathroom downstairs. My husband is handicapped and he needed a handicap rail on the shower. He tore out the shower that was in there and gutted it. He rebuilt the entire framework of the shower so that it was sturdy. He also put in a new bench. He installed handicap railings for my husband and enlarged the shower a little bit. He straightened the shoddy work done by the previous contractor. It looks fabulous. He did a wonderful job and he will be back to complete it.

Did not use this individual because his estimate was3 times higher than other estimates we received.

Initial contact and quote were faster than I expected, Eric coming out promptly and giving a great quote. Scheduling of the job was a little more challenging, not because of Erics' schedule, but because of mine. He went out of his way to get me in on a day I was already off work (much appriciated). Augustine showed up to do the work and was fantastic. His eye for detail and getting the best result possible. When minor problems arose he consulted with me to make sure the remeady was to my satisfaction before completion. After the install was terformed they cleaned the exisiting grout thinking it would match the new grout used. Augustine was concerned that the grouts were not an exact match and recommend they stain both the old and new gout lines to ensure a proper look. He did so at no extra expense to me and I couldn't be happier. This was a small job and I did not expect the quality of service I received. Definately deserves all the praise others have given this company on Angies list.

He gave me an estimate and was out the next week to do the repairs. He took his time and did a great job. He even gave me spare grout in case I need it in the future. He also grouted a few other tiles for free..

I called Eric on a very short notice. He came out that night and gave the estimate. He worked around schedule and completed everything within 2 days. I would not hesitate to use him again.

Did an outsanding job, guys were here when they said they would be and completed in the same day. They came up with a design that turned out to be just perfect. Would certainly recomend Eric and his crew.

We highly recommend Eric and are very pleased with his willingness to make a customer happy. Our old tile in two bathrooms now looks great!!!. Augustine was wonderful and he went above and beyond to clean and regrout our old tile. We will definintely call Eric in the future to lay new tile on our floors in the rest of the house.

Excellent. Prompt with quote. Quote was fair. Explained in detail the work he would perform. Completed work as specified. All workmen were polite. Drop cloths were used to protect carpet from damage and dirt. Completed the job in the time specified. The workmanship was excellent. I will use him again.
