Eric Herrera Tile

Originally, Eric Sr. surveyed the work to provide us an estimate. At each bathroom, he would say "no problem". He provided a competitive bid (not the lowest) within 24 hours. On the agreed date, Eric Jr. arrived at 10:00 and the work took until around 4:30. He surveyed each bathroom asking very specific questions regarding our needs. Several times during the work, he asked me to look at the progress to insure I was pleased with results. As each bathroom was completed, he asked me to come give it the final approval. After all work was done, and after checks, I asked him to touch up a couple of spots, which he did without hesitation. Eric Jr. was polite, courteous, knowledgeable and super hard working. I would highly recommend Eric Jr. and his dad, Eric Sr.

Eric and his crew were superb! Eric has a family owned and operated business, his whole crew is family (no strangers here!) which we loved. It can be a bit daunting to have a bunch of strangers in your home to do a major renovation like we did in our home. Eric and his crew were very professional and so efficient. They pulled up the old tired and dated 1980's carpet, pad and tackles, they cleaned up our concrete slab, even repaired some of the fine cracks in the flooring. They leveled the flooring and then proceeded to lay out our tiles. My husband had such great things to say about the whole process and crew they were stellar. If you are going to have tile put in your home have Eric come out to give you a bid and see how affordable the upgrade really is. I am PROUD to have people come to our home now and we will be doing some entertaining very soon. Thank you Eric, you did a wonderful job and gave us a beautiful home in return. The only regret that we have is... why didn't we do this sooner!

We expected just the shower pan/floor to be repaired by removing damage grout & caulk the 4 sides. Herrera went the extra mile & caulk all the bathroom surfaces that would come in contact with water. This included the shower walls, floor tiles at the shower & jetted tube, window ledge & splash wall of the tube. Then at no additional charged caulked the kitchen counter where the granite meets the backsplash. Eric was friendly and very professional.

Eric came out and took a look at the job. He was friendly and professional. He sent me a quote within a couple days that was $200 less than the other quotes I received. I scheduled the work to begin on Wednesday, and he agreed. Tuesday night he cancelled and asked if we could begin on Thursday. I had already planned to miss work, so this was quite an inconvenience for me. I agreed anyway because these things happen. Thursday at 10:00 am two of his workers showed up to begin the job. He was not with them, and I quickly realized that neither of these workers spoke ANY English. I was unable to have even basic conversations with them. It was so bad that I eventually got out my tablet and used google translate. They told me that Eric was running late and he should be there in an hour. While waiting on him I got progressively more frustrated because I wasnt able to explain how I wanted details completed. He NEVER came by to see how the work was going. The workers worked hard and did a very good job. I was pleased with the quality of their work. Around 6:00 pm they started packing up and Eric called me. He told me that his workers said they couldnt keep working because I didnt have enough thinset and tiles. During this phone conversation I was standing in front of several boxes of tiles, an unopened bag of thinset, and a 5 gallon bucket full of wet mortar!!!! He acted like he didnt believe me. Like I was lying or something? The workers came back the next morning, finished putting down the slate, sealed the tiles, and then grouted the tiles. Again, Eric didnt come out. Luckily one of the workers spoke English pretty well. I was able to communicate with him better. Overall, I am happy with the work. The workers took their time and paid attention to details. I dont know why, however Eric thought it was acceptable to send two workers who spoke no English and didnt even come out to begin the job! Clearly, he didnt think my work was very important.

Always on time, hard working, only took a break at lunch time, cleaned up each day, excellent skilled employees that were willing to give their professional opinion about tile layout, friendly and approachable. I worked with many different tile companies in the past and Eric Herrera Tile was the best!

They showed up at agreed time, assessed and completed the job in swift, clean manner.

The job went very well. The tile surround involved some complicated angles to be cut, as well as the fabrication of a special access door panel for the Jacuzzi plumbing and equipment. The tile shower involved the construction of a new pan and two walls, with bullnose trim around the periphery and some decorative tile inserts part way up the walls. We also had to add some marble flooring pieces to cover an area exposed by the demolition of the old shower, and they did a nice job of fitting that in, even though we had to pick out the marble at the last minute. The tile installation looks perfect, and the grouting is excellent. We would definitely use them again.

He did a good job and he straightened out some stuff. He did beautiful work and I would recommend him to anybody. His price was reasonable. He wasn't the cheapest but not the most expensive. He was worth every penny. There were no issues.

Another tile contractor referred by a friend stood me up on Monday. I found Mr. Herrera on Angie's List Andre came the same day I called him to provide a quote. I asked for advice about tiling the hallway next to the room and he advised that doing so may not be have a good overall cosmetic result. He was honest when other contractors would have just laid the hallway and taken the extra money. Because another customer cancelled on him at the last minute, he was able to perform the work by Friday of the same week. His crew was actually a little early (not a bad thing) and they completed the work in a timely fashion. Mr. Herrera honored his 10% discount. When the grout dried a gray color instead of dark brown, I called Mr. Herrera. He knew what was wrong and scheduled another crew to correct the issue within days. The price he quoted was higher than the original contractor, but his timely service, quick response, and good end result was worth it. I would definitely recommend him.

They did a great job. They were on time and and completed the work in about 5 hrs.

The project took a few days to complete and the overall work was fantastic. The guys were professional and polite. Eric was always available for questions. Very happy with the experience. This is a great company that I will definitely use again.

I contacted Eric for a quote for repairs and he responded quickly. He arrived as promised and on-time for the quote. The guys arrived on-time and completed the work within a day. Upon removing the wall tiles they discovered that the builder had used regular drywall (not cement board or greenboard) behind the slate in my shower. The affected area was removed and replaced with cement board and new tiles. Looks as good as new. Price was as originally quoted. I thought they did a great job and I would use them again for work. I also recommended them to my neighbor as his home (from the same builder) likely has similar issues.

This was an excellent experience. Eric was very responsive right from the beginning. He was very good with communication, came over to give a quote and then followed up promptly with a time/date that worked for him to do the work. He arrived on time, promptly got to work and did an excellent job. He also cleaned up really well after the work was done. The tile looks great and more importantly, this was a completely hassle-free experience for us overall. Thank you Eric!

Price was reasonable. Crew was curtious, clean (as clean as tile tear out can be), and skilled in their trade. I will also add that on several occassions one of the employee's (AJ) went the extra mile to make sure the job was done right. First intance was 1/2" hardiebacker on the floor which would have caused a "step up" into the bathrooms. AJ took it upon himself to do the right thing and bring it to my attention and recommended swapping the 1/2" for 1/4." AJ handled the rest on his own which consisting of returning the 1/2" and getting the 1/4." Second instance was they really took the time to prep the walls correctly, sealing them, and making sure everything was square. They very well could have just tiled and I would have never of noticed the difference. Overall I was thoroughly impressed with the quality and the integrity of these guys!

The tub looks great. He was prompt and efficient. The only issues were that he did not seal the rail holes or replace the bath downspout.

Have used Eric twice. He is very reasonable and does excellent work.

I was very pleased with Eric Herrera and his crew from the first contact through Angie's List until the final end. I cannot say enough good things about them. The communication was helpful, immediate, and excellent. I could text or call Eric from the tile store and get immediate help. He told me exactly how much tile to go and the best place to find the selection, price and service to meet our needs. He was flexible on how he did the steps, giving me several options. He allowed us to handle the tear out of the tile, saving us money in the process (I'm not sure in hindsight I would do the tear out again. It took us a long time and the disposal of all the old tile has been a hassle- just sharing). He squeezed us into his busy schedule. His people were on time, professional, and skilled. They created the pattern we wanted and did excellent work, lining up things like a professional. I loved how we did not need to babysit their every move because they took pride in their work. They returned as scheduled to do the grouting and even asked where the sealer that I'd bought was located so that they could seal it all for me, which I thought was really nice and above duty. They made sure that I was pleased with the work through each step of the process. And finally, when I offered them the extra grout, they reminded me to keep it should I ever need it for a future repair. The amount of leftover tile and supplies was minimal and I was impressed that the estimation had been so accurate. Hassle-free, excellent work, nice people to work with-No wonder they are so busy! I would most definitely hire Eric's team in the future.

Very nice job. Honest price. Punctual service. Eric took the time to talk through job options with me and shared some stories of recent similar jobs. He could have told me he needed to rip out the shower and start from scratch, but told me he really thought the repar using his repair guy would do the trick. He was right. After I thought about what he said and set the repair appoint,net I asked him to do the same for two other tub showers (minor repairs and grout and edge sealant). He charged me a fair and honest price for that work the day of the work and fit it all in to one day. Very satisfied all around. Will use him again, but hopefully will not have to for several years if the quality I have seen holds up.

The owner Eric Herrara was great to deal with. It was a couple of his employees who were rude and disrespectful. I did not tell Eric about them because they were his relatives and I did not want to cause an ordeal. I was not satisfied with the sealing method they were doing over the Hardi-Backer in the shower. They were only sealing the seams between the pieces of Hardi-Backer. So I bought a gallon of the Red Guard sealant and applied it myself. I did so after getting approval from the installer - Eric's brother. It only took 10 minutes. But it seemed to set a negative tone for the rest of the job. Red Guard recommends sealing the walls not just the seams with TWO coats. Hardi-backer will not rot from water exposure but water can permeate through it. My shower is on the second floor so proper sealing was my main concern. The next day a different employee came to finish and grout. He was very rude and disrespectful.

I have gotten three bids to complete this work. I got a number from Lowes, Eric and Tileco. Eric was high, Lowe's in the middle and Tileco was low bid. Only Eric and Tileco included the full scope of work. Eric came out and looked at the job in a very timely fashion and was very courteous and knowledgeable. I am going with Tileco because they don't sub out the work like most tile installers and i get good vibes from them. Eric doesn't sub out either and i get good vibes from him to but Tileco is significantly cheaper and can do the work when i need them to. Eric is understandably booked up for new jobs until January he has an A rating afterall. Overall great company and i would recommend them.

Everything went as planned. The crew (his son & one other worker) showed up on time and were very professional and courteous. They did the job as agreed and were hard working. They did the job way faster than I though was even possible as I have a lot of ceramic tile in my house (kitchen backsplash, foyer and living area, master bathroom floor, shower and tub backsplash, and my entry way that has decorative tile.) Would definitely use his services again.

I was very happy with Eric and he even gave me a 10% senior discount on the labor. They gave me an estimate, but after they pulled up the carpet, there were few areas that needed to be leveled, but I was never charged extra for that. Eric and his crew were very nice, polite, and courteous. If I ever needed more tile work done, I would definitely call him.

This company is GREAT !!! They offered me an excellent price. They did fantastic work. They said they were very busy but squeezed me in and finished my job within 3 days of my calling them. Everything went great. They were very careful to keep my house clean and safe from damage. They cleaned up the work area great. They were very professional and they were very nice. They did not require a deposit up front, and were very honest and fair. Overall experience could not have been better. I am a real estate investor and will use these guys again.
