Description of Work: We purchased an Angie's List deal from this provider for $99 for 3 hours of masonry work. The mortar between bricks in the coping around our pool was wearing away in many places, and we chose this deal to repair it. We scheduled a date for an initial visit to go over what we needed, and the provider was polite and professional on that visit. It took a while to schedule the actual work, because I also asked about some tile replacement, and I needed to look for matching tiles (which I have not yet found). So, it took me a while to follow up with the provider, but they did not take the initiative to follow up either. | |On the day the work was scheduled to be performed, the provider did not knock or ring the doorbell at all. My husband and I both work from home (which the provider knew), so we would like to have known when they arrived and departed. I just happened to notice them out of the window at one point and assumed they'd knock or ring the doorbell when the work was finished to go over what they had done. They did not. | |WE WERE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE POOR QUALITY OF THE WORK. Not all of the eroding mortar was repaired, and they left several clumps of mortar on the hot tub "bench" (under water) and on the pool step (also underwater) that hardened into an unsightly mess. | |I guess you get what you pay for. Perhaps this is a risk of purchasing some of these Angie's List special "deals" - I wonder if some providers price these deals so low that they lose money, so they shortchange buyers on the quality of the work.

Description of Work: Repaired 2 large rocks (>50lbs) and 1 medium sized rock that had broken away from rock waterfall next to pool. Purchased an Angie's List Deal (3hrs labor for $99) & had to pay for supplies (mortar + dye). They were done within an hour, just made me wish I had thought of other masonry repair projects that also could have been done!

Description of Work: This is a father and son business. The son came out to bid our job. I rented the ladder he requested and they did come. Work needed to be completed and the son came out a second day but would not clean up the dried cement on areas that his father had patched because he said it was too high. He said he would come out in a few weeks to clean repaired areas with the acid, water mix but he did not. He did not respond to my messages.

Description of Work: Initially my intent was to have them repair the brick flower box next to my mailbox but they were also able to repair some bricks that had settled below my deck level. They also did some repairs to minor cracks around my window casings which I had not anticipated so I was very pleased with their extra efforts.

Description of Work: Danny arrived on time to see what needed to be done and was able to come back several days later to complete it. I was not home when he did the work, and it he did an excellent job. I would use him again if I needed masonry work.

Description of Work: the mason and his father arrived as scheduled and completed the job about 3 hours. the job was done professionally and I am happy with the results. The only thing I would mention is that they left it messy after they left. The cleanup for me only took about 5 minutes, but otherwise I would use them again because they did a great job.

Description of Work: Danny was a little late responding to setting a firm date, due to another job he was involved in. Should have called me sooner to actually firm up our job date and time. Very polite, as was his father, who is head of the firm. They accomplished the foundation patch and the replacement of the front door lintel, brick replacement, and repairs to the front porch with re-laying bricks and re-mortaring them. Also patched some broken down mortar next to front door and on a windowsill. All was accomplished within a two-hour or less framework, and we spoke about possible patio work when we get ready to build one. Also talked about replacing some poorly done brickwork next to front door when we get flat bricks. The leftover ones we had were not suitable for 3-sided exposure due to molded-in mortar grooves. All in all, a very good experience.

Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal "$99 for 3 Hours of Masonry Repair" to work on broken brick steps. At their suggestion, I also had them perform a pressure washing for my entire breeze way to help match the new mortar with the existing mortar.

Description of Work: I had mortar cracks in the brick due to normal settling in the corner of my patio and over my two car garage. I needed the repair to be done in such a way that it did not stand out.

Description of Work: They removed areas of flagstone patio and re-grouted many areas. They also had to remove and reinstall an overhang off a raised pergola area. Powerwashed after completion.

Description of Work: Danny (and his father) with EMZ were contracted to install cultured stone on a wall that adjoined a previously stoned fireplace. They also built a stone hearth and did some general stone maintenance on the fireplace itself.

Description of Work: I have a 45 year old brick patio that never had a proper base and was overgrown and distorted. EMZ had the bricks removed, roots cut out, proper sub-base with weed barrier installed and bricks replaced. The same thing was done for a 50 ft brick walkway.

Description of Work: Removed 3-4" of crushed granite from the side of my garage all around to the back. After the granite was removed they prepped and built the frame work for the concrete.

Description of Work: Mr. Reyes provided a quote and some excellent design suggestions for the stone work on our fireplace.

Description of Work: Drilled out some concrete that had fallen off the foundation, exposing some rebar. He filled in the gap and then put concrete over all of is with a trowel, then cleaned everything with a sponge.Our house was under contract and we needed it done fast. Danny was there within 3 hours of my call. He also fixed a very small spot that the inspector and I had not seen.
