Description of Work: We had our entire first floor tiled. It was poor craftsmen ship and what we were quoted as a 4 day job ended up as a 4 month job. They were great on new carpet but the tile was horrible. Also, the installers left a message in my house daily. Food wrappers, used cups wrestling found all over the place, not to mention mortar and grout on my walls and doors. (This was never cleaned). The installation migration did not have any issues with the uneven tiles and spacers, said it was industry standard. Offered to fix, but I would have to have the same workers in my house. Not happening.

Description of Work: They came and had very few choices. They were expensive. They were very "forceful" in their interactions with \us -- very talkative, and very determined. They began with a price tag of about $28,000 and came down to about $11,000 as they were closing out the laminate we were looking at. I really did not want the laminate and I did not want to go with them, and I wanted time to think it over. They said that they could not promise the same deal if we waited. My sister was living with me and she was going to pay on it as well and she wanted the floor. She thought it was nice. It is a mess. The laminate has come off (I am going to call them and have them replace the boards) it is VERY hard to keep clean, it is always hazy, and never looks clean. I do not like the product and did not like their pressure tactics. I will never buy from them again and I will never recommend them

Description of Work: I had all of my flooring replaced downstairs, except for the kitchen. Carpet and old tile removed, floors leveled, then wood-look porcelian tile installed. The salesman was great! He was in no way pushy and he discussed all options with us. He explained everything in detail and helped us with really good discounts, too. The installer did a beautiful job! Floors are gorgeous and he was friendly and very hardworking! He went above and beyond to do things as I wanted them done and was easy to have around. I had researched flooring and pricing online before even having Empire out for a quote, so I knew what to expect and was pleasantly surprised to get such a great price and ultimately to be so very pleased with the beautifully completed job.

Description of Work: We had them come in to give us a quote on carpet. They were ok. Make sure you are careful with picking the color. The swatches are a good representation but when we got the entire room it was not what we expected. Not a negative experience.

Description of Work: They told us the installation would be completed on an agreed upon date. The salesman forgot to submit an order to have the carpet transferred from their Dallas facility. We were informed on the day of the installation of this error and the salesman explained "everyone makes mistakes and we will need to wait another day". Created a major inonvience.

Description of Work: Empire did a great job. They are a large company, so with that comes the high price for overhead. They did come down quite a bit off the initial price, but it was still a bit high compared to market rates. That being said, it was installed the next day and they did a great job.

They attempted to level the flooring and they did not do a good job. Some of the flooring has broken around the doorways. The sales person was extremely pushy and insisted on closing the sale immediately. Overall, I was not real happy.
Description of Work: They took up carpet and replaced it with hardwood flooring.
