Elaine's Florist and Gift Baskets

Both owners (owner and staff member?) were very pleasant but it was not the experience I expected. I had arrived 3 weeks before the prom date with pictures in hand, questions about products, and requests for materials to be used. I wanted my son's girlfriend to gasp when she saw her flowers; I wanted my son to be pleased to where his. But when I stated what I was there for, I was told what they created and how they provided it. When I asked to see photos of their work, they said, "You know, we really need to take some pictures of our stuff." When I asked to see a price list, I was quoted a price for each item. When I asked if could have particular flowers or certain additions to the pieces (pointing to pictures I had brought) I was again told what they used. I also found it odd they don't have Saturday shop hours. The prom was on a Saturday but I was told we had to pick up the items on Friday before 3. That's fine for my 2 small items but what if I needed something larger for a Saturday or Sunday event and didn't have a big enough refrigerator? The corsage and boutonniere were pretty; they were fine. They were just typical. I was willing to pay for gorgeous and unique but I never got the chance! I know what you're thinking, "There are tons of florists to choose from. Why didn't you go somewhere else?" I work out of town and was off one weekday to complete several errands. My son has school and sports til 6pm M-F. This florist is close to the house.
