Services we offer
We are the Houston Area experts on Edible Landscaping. We want you to produce produce and we want it to look great.
Services we don't offer
We stray away from Landscaping that has no part in the food production system. We hate invasive plants and really don't like to plant oleander, ruelia, or ligustrum etc.
My prior service provider moved to Colorado and sold to Edible Earth. I have not been pleased with them. I am considering cancelling my contract with them. I am afraid that the HOA is going to tell me I have to resod my lawn because I have so many weeds in my front lawn. Daniel Wolf use to take care of the weeds, these people do not take care of the weeds. My husband says they put the weeds there.

The irrigation part of the project was fine but the landscaping was a disaster. About 75% of the bushes and trees either died within months or are alive, but barely thriving. A very expensive mountain laurel was planted in the front and died within a year from a fungus due to the wet conditions of the soil. When Edible Earth came out to look at it, they said it should never have been planted there because mountain laurel doesn't thrive in wet climates like Houston. The mountain laurel was their suggestion in the first place. They never offered to replace it. All of the plants were their suggestions. We heard the same excuses about all of the plants that died in the back yard. The lemon tree, blueberry bushes, and blackberry bushes should never have been planted where they were due to lack of light and soil conditions. None of the bushes along our back fence survived because the soil had not been built up in the beds. They criticized everything they had done the year before but offered to do nothing to make it right, even though we had paid them thousands of dollars. The grass they planted is mostly weeds, the ground cover was replanted 5 times and always died after a few months because our street floods. We had told them the street floods regularly. Everyone else on the street still manages to have ground cover. Despite our disappointment with the yard, we decided to give them an opportunity to correct the problems. We met with them and after several weeks they produced an uninspired proposal that addressed only half of the issues. We met with them again a few months later and made more specific requests about plants we wanted replaced. A few weeks later they sent me the same proposal they had sent before. The only change they made was the date. I emailed and called to ask what was going on with them. A few days late they emailed me and said they didn't want to work on our project any more. I couldn't agree more with the other "F" assessment. We seem to have had exactly the same experience. Edible Earth is unresponsive, unethical, and unprofessional. They know nothing about plants or growing anything in this area. Avoid them at all costs.

Some of the trees showed signs of distress/dying within months of planting. I decided to give it a full year to see if they revived with warmer weather. One that suffered all along has been dead for months, another is lying on the ground hanging on by a thread. I hired a tree expert to look at the trees and was told they were improperly planted (too much of trunk is covered, not staked properly...). Most of them should come back with proper care. My lawn looks like crap and I let them know numerous times that the lawn was soaked (irrigation issues). Most often, it took weeks to get a reply from them. I would have to email over and over. They should have replaced the dead tree but didn't or wouldn't. Dealing with them was not only frustrating but feels like highway robbery.
Description of Work: Planted fruit trees. We hired their services to maintain the health of the trees, lawn and they were to provide irrigation services quarterly.

Description of Work: We a plant bed created with siding and compost and mulch. Then they planted and trained passion fruit to cover our front gate. It's already begun to fruit! We needed extra coverage on one side of the gate so they planted star jasmine there per our request for thicker foliage, even though they specialize in edible plants. We love their work and Scott is very knowledgeable.
