My ceiling in my store was giving way as my landlord hasn't kept the roof in tact. I googled and found John and explained that I needed help immediately or the ceiling was going to collapse all over my merchandise. I asked if he could promise that he'd come the next day. (I called at around 3:00 in the afternoon)! He came within 5 hours, even though he was on the other side of the metroplex. He actually stopped by on his way to dinner and texted that he would get someone to arrive at the business the following morning by 7:30. Sure enough, he and and a helper came, and they worked tirelessly and diligently by cutting the wet insulation out and drained many gallons of water out of it, being careful of the store and had me open by 10:00 am! They came back hours later with a huge roll of batting (vinyl covered insulation) and finished the job by replacing what had gotten wet. Their work was impeccable. I am so grateful to them for their help.
Description of Work: Replaced ceiling insulation and removed water that was held by it when ceiling failed

The work was not performed in a professional manner by the assigned crew. Our home was used as a training facility for a new supervisor (two weeks experience) and new crew members. John Bustos was not present at all times to provide guidance to his employees. One of the “experienced” crew members stepped through the ceiling over the two story foyer of our home necessitating dry wall repair, texturing, and painting. The foyer ceiling repair work was not completed to our satisfaction by John Bustos’ personnel. The painter John Bustos had attempting to repair the ceiling was working with a bad diabetic foot on a 20-ft ladder all day and made us anxious since we did not want any injuries. The monetary reimbursement agreed upon before repair work for the damage to the foyer ceiling was started was not honored by John Bustos. Numerous attempts to contact John Bustos to recover the total cost of the ceiling repair work that we were forced to have done by a third party have not been answered. The only way the ceiling can be repaired to original condition is to have all texture removed and new texture applied throughout the foyer and connecting hallway. We believe that work needs to be done and we are due the cost of performing the work. The attic sealing work above the master bedroom and master bathroom was not completed and the cost to seal that attic space should have been deducted from the amount we paid for the total cost of the job. The upstairs closet access to this attic area was not discovered until the work was underway. However, we believe the cost of sealing this area was included in the original price quoted. John Bustos was argumentative and disrespectful to members of our family during the process of the job as we attempted to clarify work plans. He also promised pictures and videos of the work performed, both of which were never received. John Bustos indicated that the corporate Dr. Energy Saver office would furnish a video of the work performed; however, the corporate Dr. Energy Saver office denies ever offering the service of providing videos. Further, the corporate Dr. Energy Saver office indicated John Bustos and STX Efficiency Experts were no longer affiliated with or recommended by Dr. Energy Saver even though John Bustos continued to advertise his company as affiliated with Dr. Energy Saver. We are continuing to experience attic insulation dust inside our home, indicating that the work performed by Dr. Energy Saver of South Texas by STX Efficiency Experts was not successful in eliminating our original reason for contacting this company. We have made numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact John Bustos to receive the agreed upon total refund for damaging our foyer ceiling and reimbursement for not completing the attic sealing work above our master bed and bath rooms.
Description of Work: Dr. Energy Saver of South Texas by STX Efficiency Experts owned by John Bustos performed unsatisfactory work on our home in November 2015. The scope of the work consisted of installing retrofit energy efficient canned recessed lighting upgrades, duct sealing, and air sealing. The purpose of the work was to eliminate attic insulation dust from entering the living space inside our home.

!they never contacted me or would return calls or emails. They took my money and ran!
Description of Work: I can't get them to call me back or respond. I bought this living social deal from them and called them to get the services done and they kept saying stuff like we are at lunch, Ill call you back. This was weird because I would call at all hours of the day. Also, I went on their website to request service based on the deal I purcheased for $150 for $600 dollars worth of Radient Barrier and the owner emailed me and said he would call after 6 pm. He never called. I emailed to ask how to get a refund and he never responded. I went through living social and they said it was over the 30 days refund date. Of course it was because they put me off for at least 3 months. No their phone is disconnected and there is a fast busy and I can't get anyone to respond to me. I work for a builder and this is just very unprofessional

Description of Work: Radiant barrier installation. Radient barrier installed inattic. I contacted South Texas Green Energy last June about radiant barrier. I knew of no other companies. So STGE was the first I contacted. Initially John came out as scheduled. He told us what radiant barrier would do. Gave a demonstration with a heat lamp with radiant barrier and without. Said that there would be a "dramatic difference in the electric bill". Gave a price. Seemed fair. He was professional and energetic. A time was set up for the barrier to be installed. It took several schedule changes before he came out again as there was always "an issue with another job". The day that the team showed up John was with them. He had to leave to go to another job. He came back later that day as the job was almost completed. He never went in the attic at that time to check as to what had been done or how it had been done. He left before his team did as he "had to go back to Victoria". I realize that this was the hottest summer in a long time, but there was no noticeable difference in the electric bill as compared to last year. I contacted John about this. After several calls he came back to the house and went into the attic at this time. He said that he could not understand what the problem was. He said that he was willing to install additional barrier on places where he felt it could have been done better. He was willing to "make it right". But he felt that something had to be wrong with the air conditioner. He said that he would come back with another individual and it would be done. He stated that he already had the additional barrier to be installed. Several phone calls and texts were made by us to him and vice versa and appointment times were set. He scheduled four or five times as to when he would be here. Each time fell through because of another job or something else. The last scheduled time was to be just before Thanksgiving. It was canceled by John. I have been dealing with this for four and one-half months. It still has not been resolved. I will be reminded of my stupidity for as long as I own this house. I did have the air conditioner checked. It is fine.
