Description of Work: I called to ask for an estimate to run a water line to my new refrigerator for the icemaker. I told him that the house was inside the loop and was pier & beam construction with a crawl space. He said that there were probably snakes under the house. I assured him that in the 30-plus years that I have lived here I have never seen a snake. He sent a two man crew. When I showed them the closest vent access to the kitchen we could smell a stagnant water odor under the house. I was surprised because I was not aware of any plumbing problem. I asked that they include this repair. They said that they would not go under a house where there was water. Said I should call their office and they would recommend someone to come and pump the water out then call them back to do the repair and run the line to the icemaker. They would not even diagnose the repair problem until the water was gone. I called another plumber who fixed the kitchen drain pipe that was broken in the wall and ran the line to the icemaker and never mentioned snakes or any need for a special "pumping" process.

+ -1 moreI contacted them on Monday and asked if a plumber could come out on either Tuesday or Thursday afternoon and was told no problem. They called Tuesday morning at 8:00AM to say they were on way out which caused my wife to delay her appointment. They completed the work we asked to do in about an 1 1/2 hours. However I felt the hour charge of $300.00 was excessive for the work preformed. I will not make the mistake again of asking for an estimate before the work is preformed.
Description of Work: They replaced the faucets in one bathtub and handle on the toilet.

Description of Work: They updated the plumbing in my 1700 square foot home. They removed the old pipes and installed the new ones, that went from the street to my home.

Description of Work: Dover Plumbing Company came out and checked for leaks in our gas line. They made the necessary repairs. The lines they checked were all the lines inside our 2100 square foot home.

(Teresa, apparently the most informed and multi-talented bookkeeper in town!), and came out on the same day to fix the job in a very timely manner! I was a little concerned since she only gave me a ballpark number, and said it all depended on a lot of factors, and that their post-4:30pm work was at overtime rates, but the final bill actually came out to be 40% LESS than what another company (Chavez Plumbing) quoted me! This was one lead from the BBB website, that really lived up to my expectations and then some!
