Since we had a bad experience with DirecTV, I called DISH and told that sales rep what we wanted and I did NOT want any high-pressure sales talk. The rep was very nice and listened to what I asked and even at one point put me on hold to ask a technician if my old analog kitchen TV could be hooked up. Their monthly plan was fine, so we set up the installation for Friday, Sept 5 between 8 and noon. At 8:10, the tech was at our gate. He listened to our needs and only because of some large trees, we could not get our first choice of where to put the dish. He came up with an excellent compromise so that the appearance would not be unsightly. He was able to get both old TVs working and tutored me on some features. Being that I'm 64, I still needed to read the steps later. We are currently very happy with the entire process.

After a terrible experience with DirecTV I called Dish. They did the job correctly, even offering to have a tech com out on Easter Sunday to put the service in. I'm still new to the Hopper DVR and its remote cousin the Joey; there are a lot of functions and choices to learn, and it will take time to get full use of the service, but everything is working. What a joy to deal with people who just do the job instead of people whose favorite words are "can't" and "won't."

We like Dish Network. We have a large house and I like that we have more options with satellite service and to be able to have all of our seven televisions to have good service. We love the flexibility of it and the price, for all we get. We have the largest package you can get and get every movie channel out there. We have several hoppers. The only time it goes out is if there a really bad rainstorm. Even then, it goes out for just a little while and then, it resets itself and comes back on.
