AUG. 18, 2017 - TRIED CONTACTING PROVIDER BY EMAIL HE HAD LISTED ON HIS WEB SITE, INFO@DIRECTDRAPERY.COM. MY EMAIL WAS RETURNED AS UNDELIVERABLE. I FILLED OUT THE CONTACT FORM ON HIS WEB SITE, HE DID NOT RESPOND. AUG 25 - 29, 2017 - HURRICANE HARVEY HIT HOUSTON. I REACHED OWNER TYRONE VIA PHONE ON SEPT. 06. HE STATED HE COULD ACCOMMODATE ME ON HIS FIRST AVAILABLE, SEPT. 08 BUT I AM CONSIDERED OUT OF TOWN AND WOULD HAVE TO PAY A $75.00 TRIP CHARGE. I LIVE IN THE WOODLANDS WHICH HE HAS LISTED AS ONE OF HIS SERVICE AREAS. MY HOME IS 42.8 MI FROM 12600 BISSONNET ST. I AGREED TO THE TRIP CHARGE. HE STATED HE HAD TO CHECK WITH HIS CREW SINCE HE WAS ONLY GIVING THEM 2 DAYS NOTICE. HE CALLED BACK AN HOUR LATER AND SAID APPOINTMENT WAS ON FOR FRIDAY. APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES LATER HE CALLED AND SAID HE WAS CANCELLING BECAUSE HIS GPS IS TELLING HIM TO TAKE A DIFFERENT ROUTE THAT WOULD END UP BEING 70 MI. I DO NOT THINK THEIR WAS FLOODING IN THE ROUTE TO MY HOUSE. HE ALSO SAID HIS TRUCK WAS OLD AND HAS NEVER BEEN TO THE WOODLANDS, SO WHY DOES HE HAVE IT LISTED AS ONE OF HIS SERVICE AREAS ? I ALSO WAS NOT IN A HURRY TO HAVE THE WORK COMPLETED. IF I HAD TO WAIT 30 - 45 DAYS, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE WITH ME. I WASTED OVER AN HOUR OF MY TIME TALKING WITH TYRONE AND NOTHING WAS ACCOMPLISHED. THE WORK WAS COMPLETED TODAY BY SOMEONE NOT ON ANGIES LIST WHO WAS 60 MILES AWAY FROM MY HOME AND DID NOT HAVE AN ISSUE WITH FLOODING AND DISTANCE.

They arrived on time and proceeded to work. They had under estimated the time to clean and the size of the blinds to be cleaned, However, the stuck to the quoted prize and worked well past their estimated time to finish. They protected the insides of the house while cleaning the blinds .They did a superb job.

Very good experience. They removed all the blinds, put them in a machine (in the truck) to clean and sanitize them, and hung them back up. They were SO WELL CLEANED. It took some time -- they arrived at 10 and left at 4:30 -- because of the extra work needed for my 31 windows but it was definitely worth it. They just did an excellent job and I highly recommend them.

I am extremely happy with the services of this company! We had Luminettes and Silhouettes installed in every window and door in our home when it was built. I love the soft and fragile appearance, however this very thing made me extremely nervous about having them cleaned. But it was time! I called several drapery cleaning companies and none would touch these particular window coverings. One company offer to clean them if I would take them all down and bring them in! Oh my! But finally with a little help I found Direct Blind and Drapery Cleaning Services. I immediately liked Tyrone and felt trust and confidence in him and in his ability to take care of my problems. We set up a date for him to return. Since we have so many windows he brought his excellent crew with him. They arrived right on time. They took care to protect my carpeting before they started. The entire time Tyrone was either working or checking to be sure his crew was performing up to his high standards - unlike some companies were the "boss", "owner" or "foreman" gets the crew started and then leaves until the job is done. Since I already had such confidence in Tyrone I really appreciated this.. One thing I really liked - our particular Luminettes and Silhouettes open and close a little differently than others. Instead of just starting to pull and tug (as a window company did a few years ago when I had to have two windows replaced) Tyone's crew went to him and asked how they worked before opening them. They used a two-step process - first carefully vacuuming to remove the dust and all of the little particles that had gotten caught in the veins, then they very carefully started the actual cleaning process. They were SO careful! The very day our window coverings were installed several years ago our cat used three of them as a jungle gym leaving little claw marks. I actually thought Tyrone might tell me upon inspection that he wouldn't be able to clean these areas, but instead he said softly, almost to himself, "I will clean these areas myself". He did and he did an excellent and caring job. There was also a really bad place where the cat rubbed against it when jumping into the window sill several times a day. Amazingly Tyrone and the crew got this place totally clean. I loved that neither Tyrone or his crew made any derogatory comments about these places and just took it in stride as part of the job! When they finished the Luminettes and Silhouettes looked as fresh and beautiful as the day they were first installed.

Tyrone is such a wonderful vendor. Several years ago he was recommended to me by Hunter Douglas and I have used his services twice now. He is PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL AND VERY KIND. He called before arrival to let me know about what time to expect him and he was exactly on time. He absolutely knows his business and returned my almost 15 year old window treatment to near perfect condition. I would recommend him highly and look forward to seeing him again next year to clean my beautiful blinds.

Tyrone and his crew showed up thirty minutes before schedule. They worked very efficiently and as a well-oiled machine. Tyrone informed me before taking steps that may not lead to the results I wanted. An example of this is when he was cleaning our black-out shades: further work could have removed the black-out material. His training and experience enabled him to do the best work for our needs and use the techniques most suited for our types of shades. He cleaned our valances in-place so they did not change shape nor shrink. This was a well-appreciated service, freeing me from removing the window treatments and hauling them to a dry cleaner. His work crew was respectful and cleaned up after they were finished.

The provider first came to my home to inspect my Silhouette blinds and give me the cost to clean them. Upon completion of this initial visit, we were able to schedule a date quickly for him to return and do the actual cleaning. After he returned and cleaned my blinds, they looked practically new! The provider was prompt and extremely professional. He called beforehand to confirm his arrival, which was greatly appreciated. He was friendly and an all-around nice guy, who provided a high-quality cleaning job. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to all my friends.
