All services provided were excellent, removing my anxiety. Following the exam when I had awakened, the doctor not only reviewed his findings with me, he provided me with a written report summarizing everything done, pictures of relevant issues and a subsequent diagnosis and prognosis subject to results obtained from pathology. Post-op handling by Charge Nurse, Kimberlee Dantone, RN, was superb. Recognizing my rapid recovery from anesthesia and the back-up of "day surgery recovery beds" she stepped in and expedited my discharge very professionally. For the next three days, I received calls at home asking me how I was doing. On the third day, I received my pathology report (as promised) and given a positive "bill of health". There's no where else I would go for problems with any digestive disease issues.
Description of Work: Following an office visit the previous week, at which a preliminary diagnosis was made, I had a colonoscopy exam at Memorial Hermann Hospital (across the street) which is also a part of the University of Texas Medical System. Many of the doctors are on the teaching and/or research faculty, ensuring that the medical advice and services are absolutely state-of-the-art. It's been 12 years since I was there and I was provided access to the same renowned doctor, Dr Larry Scott, plus other doctors his junior that were both on the staff and/or resident doctors-in-training. I have an installed defibrillator for a heart condition that requires very knowledgeable staff and attendants capable of disabling and re-enabling the device as necessary during the exam in which I am under general anesthetic.
