Description of Work: I have used Design Air for 10+ years now to maintain and repair my home AC systems. We have used them for routine annual system check-ups, to replace blown capacitors, detect and correct Freon leaks, as well as used them to replace one of our aging AC units. In all cases, they were professional, knowledgeable, willing to answer any / all questions we've had, and their prices were competitive. We highly recommend them to our neighbors / friends without reservation.

Description of Work: Installed a new AC compressor unit and condenser. Design Air's work was top-notch. They were punctual, professional, provided me several options and answered all my questions. I have used Design Air in the past and will continue to use them for my AC needs in the future.

+ -1 moreMark arrived as scheduled and checked the system; he gave me a very good review of the status of the equipment and pointed out a couple of things that should be done. He confirmed the Lennox air filter needed to be change as well as the UV lights. Came back a few days later and changed the filter and UV lights; also sealed the area that were pointe out earlier.
Description of Work: Purchased a service contract on the complete air and heating unit. Also had them replace the Lennonx pureaire filter and UV lights.

+ 0 moreOur A/C unit is as old as our home and apparently was not installed properly when the home was built 15 years ago. It has given us problems for the last few years. Actually other company's have refused to repair or work on our unit unless we agreed to purchase a new one from them. Mark, the owner of this company, worked with us to correct the problems by replacing major parts of the unit to extend the life of the unit as well as putting us a maintenance plan for regular annual servicing. We plan on replacing the entire dual unit very soon and when we do we plan on calling him to install or oversee the installation. He is one of the few good A/C people out there that actually takes care of his customers. I highly recommend him and his company to everyone.
Description of Work: Mark came out when he first started this business and carefully analyzed all the issues. He discussed the parts that needed to be replaced, and what could be repaired for the time being. He discussed what could be done to improve the air flow in our home. Then he and his team came out and worked on our system for more than half the day. They replaced a major part of the upstairs unit and did some major repairs on the downstairs unit.

+ -1 moreIf I could give Mark and Design Air an AA rating, I would. The crew was professional, friendly, and knew what they were doing. They even did a few other tasks for us without charge. It has now been 21/2 years since the work was completed and Design Air has taken over all our air conditioning and heating needs. They are prompt and reliable. Design Air came right away when our AC went out last summer. They stayed after hours until we had the air working and Mark and his crew tried several things to get the unit to work consistently Unfortunately, the unit had to be replaced but Mark's estimate was more than fair and reasonable. You will not go wrong with Design Air.
Description of Work: After getting several quotes we decided to go with Design Air. We had all the duct work replaced, rerouted and some new vents added.

+ -1 moreI needed my A/C repaired. The technician was prompt and courteous and came out immediately (after hours service). A capacitor needed to be replaced. I think that the price for that service was a little high though. I was under the impression that he would give me an estimate before doing the service. Because I had guests at that time I could not follow up during his troubleshooting phase and when everything was up and working he said that this was the amount ($339) that I owed him. I give the company an A on promptness and service and a B on price. Although I give a "YES" on hire again the true answer would be a "MAYBE" just because of price charged.
Description of Work: A/C blower unit stopped working. Turns out a capacitor needed replacement.

+ 0 moreWe have had Design Air as our service provider on our A/C unit for the past 2 years. The owner of this company (Mark)came out and offered a reasonable price to replace the plenum(a non plenum), evap. coil, along with drainage pans for better air flow. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: The previous company "Big Tex" as we understand it from many other A/C companies, installed the inside portion of the unit by taking many shortcuts. As the systems aged, everything rusted along with drain pans and drain lines. This caused a leak. We were losing air. The condensation would overflow in the drainage pan which had rusted. The rusted water would drain out the side of the house and stain the brick. The unit in question was the downstairs unit. The problem was causing the upstairs unit to work extremely hard, which resulted in a hotter home in. Eventually this problem could have resulted in serious damage to the floor/ceiling of our home. They worked on our unit almost all day by removing the damaged parts for me to see just how badly damaged they were. I even took pictures. They replaced the evap. coil, new collars, and dampers.

+ -1 moreTheir pricing was pretty good. I've been really impressed with them because the owner of the company seems to take responsibility for everything and he is available on the cell phone too. Months later after I hired them, I called him because I was trying to sell my house, so he came up to help me with the inspection report. He was extremely responsive, helpful, really nice and professional.
Description of Work: Design Air came out in July 2010 to flush some lines.
