DELANEY'S CONSTRUCTION

I went out for quotes on residing & painting my house on 10/20/2021 getting quotes from Delaney Construction, LLC and 3 other vendors. Delaney Construction was not the cheapest but after reading so many good reviews from Angi, the web, and others. Plus, the knowledge from the project manager, Steven P., who did the estimate drove the wife & me to grant our project to Delaney Construction. We filed the architectural review request on 10/08/2021 with the promise start date of 10/29/2021. That day came and went without notice. After the repeated calls that went to voice mail Delaney Construction and texts, a reply from Steven said they would be dropping a dumpster and material in our drive on 12/14/2021 and they would be starting in a week. The dumpster and materials have been delivered but no crew has shown up. I again started calling & texting I get a text from Steven P., that they would be starting the job in two weeks. This text continued; Materials are special-order but they would be available then. That was confusing as the material is on my drive. Maybe not all that is required but a stack anyway. I have no idea on the meaning of special order as we are going back with standard Hardie Plank?? Of course, the date came and went with the OSB plywood sitting on the driveway in the rain, etc. Again, many texts and calls later on 12/21/2021, I get a text, not the call back I requested. Saying the crew (?), finishing up a job on Wednesday, but doesn’t want to start another job till after Christmas. Oh Boy maybe. 12/27/2021 came and went no word, so again started calling and texting. I even left a voice mail specific to Keven Delaney that I was expecting a call back on my cell phone. He did not call me back. However, after the texts to Steven P. and the request for a call from Keven Delaney, I get a text from Steven. Saying, working on this week’s schedule now, should be able to start your work. I mentioned the OSB in the rain for the best side of a month. And the materials on the drive better not be for my house as the quote was for all Hardie Plank. The materials on the drive are just painted OSB strand board. Still no work yet. What do I want? I expect the work to start within the next week, or I will get another contractor and Delaney can pick up his dumpster and wrong material. I believe I should get a 10% discount or something for being jerked around like this. I understand the material problems of this year. I know how hard it is to find and keep good people. But a company needs to say what they are going to do and do what they say. I am giving one-star as I cannot do less

Delaney's Construction Very Professional, Outstanding Customer Service and Superb Work. Pleasantly surprised the lead contractor Steven has an acute eye for perfection on his jobs. Delaney's Construction work speaks for itself, as I've had several neighbors,friends,family and drive-bys request his services after admiring the crew's work. I am so Please with their work. THANK YOU Steven and Delaney's Construction Crew.

All went well. Steve with Delaney Construction was very thorough from start to finish. Explained the process from beginning to end including the dealing with insurance company. We were able to woork together to get the nest price including my deductible from insurance. Roof looks great and was everything we expected from this company

I CONTACTED SCOTT. HE CAME OUT, BUT COULD NOT WALK THE ROOF BECAUSE IT WAS TOO STEEP. HE PROMISED A QUOTE THE NEXT DAY. I HAVEN'T HEARD FROM ANYONE AGAIN. TOO BAD. I WAS GOING TO HIRE THEM TO INSTALL A NEW ROOF, NEW FLOORING AND PAINT ALL OF THE DOWNSTAIRS. THEIR LOSS, MY CLOSE CALL. IF YOU CAN'T GET ME A QUOTE, HOW CAN I EXPECT YOU TO SHOW UP AND DO A JOB.
