Took mower to d&s and they removed the head and repaired the mower within hours that same day. Hard to find service that this anywhere

Superb service, Saved me $500 which was Lowe's estimate. Had the equip repaired before I even got home after dropping it off.

After reading so many excellent reviews on Angie's List I felt positive about taking my broken lawnmower there. It was dropped off in mid-May. I made follow up calls (none were ever made by company to me) to inquire about the repairs, cost and pick up date. I was told the motor needed replacing and it would be ready in and quot;a couple of daysand quot;. As the days turned into weeks, I kept calling to check on the status of my lawn mower. I was told that they had not been able to find a replacement motor and were still looking. It's now July and I have still not received one single call from them and they4040 still have my lawnmower. I felt like the repair price I was quoted ($40 once and $60 another time) would have been reasonable. Certainly cheaper than replacing the mower. I was troubled however, when I would call and give my name and describe the repairs I was waiting on in order to receive an update. I kept getting the same response---and quot;what color is it?and quot; Surely they have a better system of keeping track of customers property than just going by the color. I was never given a reason as to why they didn't try contacting me, or why it was taking so long for a job that should have taken and quot;a couple of daysand quot;. I'm sure this being summertime, they are really busy, but I expected more than what I got. I'll need to send someone over there to pick up my mower...if they still have it.

Two months later the lawnmower will not start and is leaking gasoline from the carburetor. I would absolutely NOT use this provider again because he is deceptive about the price and the service work is poor.

They figured out my lawnmower battery was installed wrong after going thru a bunch of different checks. It solved the problem.

A friend took my Cub Cadet riding mower to some small engine repair shop and it came back running, but they did not even attempt to fix the PTO that had a bad bearing. The salesman that answered the phone encouraged me to take the PTO tensioner pulley out and replace it myself. I had it off in less than 2 minutes. Thanks for your help guys. I will darken their doorstep again and so should you!

I dropped off my equipment on Saturday about 11 am. Eric (Wade's brother) met me and helped take my lawnmower out of my jeep. I told him about the leaf blower and he immediately said that I probably had sheared the crankshaft and that they had the part and to fix it would be $40. For the lawnmower, he said they would tune it up and sharpen the blade. About 3 hours after I had dropped off the equipment, Eric called and said the work was done and that I could come and pick the equipment up. When I got there, Eric explained what they did to each equipment item and then started up both the leaf blower and lawnmower for me. Total cost for fixing the leaf blower and tuning the lawnmower was $80. I was very pleased with the work, the cost, and with the promptness of the job. I would highly recommend Dand S to anyone needing small equipment repair. Eric and Wade were both nice guys and a pleasure to work with.

After spending a couple hundred dollars elsewhere, only to have a mower that would run once, and then never start again, the experienced folks at Dand S got it to run, and observed a problem. They picked it right up, plopped it on a bench, and proceeded to dismantle the carburetor and make some necessary adjustments that SHOULD have been made by the previous shop's technicians, and got the mower operating correctly in short order. When I asked how much I owed, I was told that I could bring my next problem to them, and they'd charge me for that! So, not only did they fix my problem on-the-spot, and quickly, but also for free! They've got another customer, now, as I will gladly drive the extra 25 miles each way to take my mower to someone who actually knows what they are doing. Kudos to Dand S for being and quot;old schooland quot;, and doing things right!

Should have written this a few months back. I had 2 $1200 generators that would not start. I dropped them off on a Saturday, they helped me unload, took my phone number, and on Tuesday I got the call that they were both running fine. The total charge was $100 and they loaded them back in my truck. Don't find many places anymore that do good work on a hand shake and are reasonably priced. They have earned all of my future business.

These guys are great. I have a plate compactor and power washer that wouldn't start. I took them to D and S on a Friday about 10:00 a.m. on a Friday, and they were ready to be picked up at 3:30 that same day. I spent $50.00 on the plate compactor and $40.00 on the power washer. Before I left they made sure that I knew how to start each engine. It is a family owned business, and they take great pride in their work. I will definitely use them again.

It isnt the best part of town, but don't let the book cover fool you. I pulled up and they helped pull everything out. Then you write your name and number on a tag and they call you when its ready. They had both my units done in 24 hours. I came back, pulled up, gave them my name and they started helping me load my truck. Paid the man $85 cash and drove off. Nice and easy. Highly recommend. Also, 30 day warranty, just save your tag as your receipt.

I checked the reviews on Angie's List for small engine repair and decided to check Dand S out. As others have said, the location is not the greatest and the story front is well . . . uninviting . . . but the service and price are excellent. I dropped my generator off on Saturday and got a call that it was ready to be picked up on Monday. It started right up and is running fine. This place is really interesting, they have a steady flow of customers dropping items off and picking items up. When I was there to drop off and pick up, there were at least four other customers in line to drop items off. Bottom line, appearances can be deceiving and don't be put off by the location or looks of the place.

Drove up. A man met us at the car, pulled the lawnmower out of the SUV, did the work in about 15min. A little bit out of the ways for me , but worth the trip. Will use them again next summer.

I was referred to D and S Lawnmower sales and services by Angie's List. This is why I joined. I had a lawnmower that I was cutting with last week, and while I was cutting, it just died. I do NOT have time to play household mechanic. I barely make time to cut my yard! I looked up places on Angie's List, and seemed to like the reviews here the most so....on my next day off, I put my push mower in the car it doesn't fit in, and Mapquested my way to D and S. It was a little challenging to find, but when I got there it was PACKED!!!I had to pass it, turn around and go back in just to find a place to park. As one review I read said, don't be intimidated by the location or appearance of the place. I figured if they had this much business, they must really be good. I was disappointed when I was told they expected to get my mower back to me the next day because I would be at work the whole day, but....I left it anyway. 1 hour later, I got a call saying my mower was ready and they told me how much it was. When I took it home, it ran better than it had in the past several years! Yeah! Got my yard done, and was very pleased with their services. I plan to use them exclusively for my small engine repair. I'm sad I didn't find them before I gave a non working edger away because a place I had taken it was going to charge me a $35 diagnostic fee to not promise it would work or when I could get it.

Dand S was at the top of the list for their category. I called them. They said they could repair my pressure washer quickly. I brought it to them and they were very friendly. They unloaded it from my vehicle and even offered to fix it while I waited. It was ready the same day, but I elected to pick it up a day later. They're not located in the best part of town and the accomodations are bit rough, but they did a great job, quickly and for a fair price.

Extremely satisfied with the work and the price. I recommend them to all of my friends.

We had a pushmower that had not been started in 5 years. We dropped the mower off to this business Saturday morning. They called us a few hours later with the work done and the price was more than reasonable. We were trying to decide whether or not to overhaul or buy new and their work and price made the decision easy! It starts right up! So, they cleaned it all up, got it running great and for a great price. It was a bit of a drive for us to get there, but totally worth it! Just a note, don't let the appearance of the place deter you. It is a small shop and pretty informal...no fancy storefronts. (If you guys at Dand S are reading this, don't take this the wrong way). Boy are we glad that we went!!

I hit something with lawnmower and it along with the blower and weedeater have been sitting for the last 2 years. For $95 all three were fixed and running in less time than he originally said it would take.

It is in a scary part of town, but they are so nice and professional and fixed my mower in 20 minutes!!!!!! For $100 less than what I was quoted at another place!!!
