We had this company come out to fix Kichenaid oven door that would not close, so oven light stayed on and oven would not heat to needed temperature. David came out in August to fix the issue. He replaced the hinges and all was well, I thought. He was very polite and very nice. Less than 6 months later, our oven is worse than it was before with same problem. I contacted the office and left message. No return phone call. I called a 2nd time, and reached David. He asked me to text information, which I did and he would look into the receivers for the hinges and call back as soon as possible to schedule appt. David did not replace the receivers in August when he replaced the hinges and I think maybe that should have been done at that time in August. Days went by, and we were without an oven! I called a third and fourth time and left messages over a week and a half later. I wanted to allow him some time to find and price the receivers and then realizing for whatever reason he was just not going to return my calls. It would have been much more professional for him to just say he would not be able to come out or help us so that I wouldn't have wasted all this time waiting for him. I did happen to mention that we no longer carried the home warranty - so I don't know if that had something to do with it. Would not recommend this company and now must start over and contact someone else to fix what D and G Appliance could not.

It did not go well for me, the homeowner. The touch panel needed a sensor and Allied Home Warranty decided not to repair my oven. They depreciated my applicance and wanted to give me a check for $600.00 towards the replacement of another oven. I negotiated them up to $750.00 and that was the best I could get. I did not get the dedictible/service call charge of $60.00 credited back either. I did have a choice of getting a Sears or Best Buy gift card instead of the cash. However, they only carried a limited number of built in ovens and none that would compare with my original one. Additionally, if you selected to receive a check, there was a three week waiting period. Overall, not a happy experience for me. It had nothing to do with Dand G Appliance, but rather with the home warranty company. My review could only be based on puntuality, etc.....due to no first-hand knowledge on how the company repairs appliances.
Description of Work: I have a home warranty with Allied Home Warranty. They contract with D&G Applicance. They came out to diagnose the problem on my GE built in oven and I had to pay them a $60.00 deductible per the contract. They diagnosed my problem but did no repairs.

This provider was sent out by our home warranty company. He arrived 15 minutes after the scheduled window, but it was on a Saturday morning so I'm not complaining. He was polite, professional, explained the issue and told me how to fix it in the future, cleaned everything up, and reminded me repeatedly of his 30 day warranty in case something failed again. We would consider calling him again outside of the home warranty plan.
Description of Work: Our dishwasher stopped pumping water. The repairman determined that a drain was clogged and the dishwasher was stuck on the drain cycle. He cleaned the drain and the dishwasher started pumping water again. Two days later, the dishwasher is still running with no issues.

Dand G was referred to me by my home warranty company. Before I scheduled service and committed to a trip fee, I asked David the technician to try to confirm that my problem was in fact fixable. He took the time to walk me through diagnosing the issue over the phone and it turned out to be a simple fix that I facilitated myself. David was polite, professional, patient and knowledgeable, traits I find so rare in this day and age. He is going into my permanent list of preferred providers and I will never call anyone else for appliance repair. Dand G and David are fantastic!!!

The repairman identified a valve that had gotten smashed behind the fridge, and needed to order a new part. He forgot to write down the make, model and serial number (oops, rookie mistake) when he left, so he couldn't order for an extra day when I could write it down and email it. Work was done relatively quickly, and water dispenses as it should now.
Description of Work: I have a home warranty w/ Allied Home Warranty, so was required to use this company. The $60 was the standard call-out fee. D&G Appliances sent a repairman to my house to inspect the water dispenser in the fridge. Problem was that the water was not flowing at more than a trickle, and I had recently replaced the filter so I knew that wasn't the case.
