Great looking gates, very happy with the product, installation and service. Emilio and his team took very good care of us, great company, congratulations and thanks.

My driveway gate was not closing properly and was making loud noises when opening. I called Customer Security Fence and Ironworks because I have used this company before. The technician arrived early. When I went outside he already had the gate open and was working on it. He told me that there was nothing wrong with the gate or the motor. The problem was that the gate hinges simply needed to be greased. Frankly, I felt kind of dumb for not figuring that out. But the technician was so nice about it. He explained that the gate needs to be greased one a quarter if needed. He showed me how to use a grease gun, how to grease the hinges, and what type of grease to use. I purchased a grease gun online and have recently greased the hinges. Worked great. The company clearly disclosed that there was a trip charge of $125 (not applied to work performed) plus materials. I thought the trip charge was kind of pricey especially since no portion of it is applied to the work. Oh well... Live and learn. I like this company and will continue to use them. It was a good experience.

Our electonic gate would not open. We called and made an appointment. They called in advance to confirm and arrived when they said they would. The technician spoke very little English. He repeatedly said to me "Broken. Broken." He opened the inside of the opener arm and touched one part and said "broken". I asked if he could fix it or we needed to replace it. He did not seem to understand. He then told us he was done and the gate worked with the remote but not with the key. He charged us $95 for the service call plus $30 for parts and labor. I am unclear if he made a perminant or temporary fix and what the issue is with the key opener. The next day a gentleman from the office called and left a message on my voicemail- asking how the service went. I returned the call a couple of days later and told the receptionist that I was unable to communicate with the technician and did not know what the issue was with the gate and what the issue is with the key (as it still does not work). She told me she would speak to her boss and get back to me. It has been one week and I haven't heard from him.

Of the four fence companies that we contacted, Custom Security Fence was the only one that even replied. (We found all of them on Angie's List.) Agustin Ramos arrived at the promised time to look at the job in order to provide an estimate. His estimate arrived the next day, as promised, and it was better than we had feared. We gave the go-ahead. CSF contacted utilities to come and mark any underground cables and gas lines. We were told that the wait time would be 2-3 weeks. But about 10 days after our acceptance of the bid, Agustin called to say they could do the job the next day. The crew arrived on time, were courteous and tidy, and proceeded to create a beautiful, functional, high-quality fence within 4-5 hours. (Though tear-down and removal of the old fence was part of the original bid, the neighbor chose to do this himself, so I have no comments about that part of CSF's work.) We were asked to pay half upon accepting the bid, and Agustin called the day after the job was completed to ask if we were satisfied and to collect the remainder. All in all, we were very pleased with Custom Security Fence, and we would recommend them to others.

I contacted them to receive a bid. They asked for details about a fence I wanted built by email and text. They sent a bid for $2,000. I accepted that bid. They came to my house to look at the jobsite. They sent a new bid for $3,000. Nothing had changed about the fence & gates I requested. They will not honor the first bid.

They were very good. They were very customer oriented. I was very satisfied with their work and I would use them again in the future.

They are very accommodating. Their pricing when I first got it done was good. They knew what they were talking about. They got out quickly. So, I had no issues with them at all. They have always been very good and accommodating; that is why I keep calling them. Even when I have any kind of question, they give me straight answers and even if I do the work myself without getting them involved, they are very good. They are my go-to people now.

I had a hard time finding a company to service my iron driveway gate since that company did not install the gate. This company was open to looking at my gate. The man who answered the phone (Emilio?) was very nice and tried to get someone out the same day but they were booked (I called at noon). We made an appointment for Monday (it was Friday) between 10-1030. What a nice window of time!!! They called Monday morning to remind me - and were very nice. The repair man was on time and I learned I needed a new battery and a little elbow grease. I also asked for him to install a punch pad so it could open with a code. He did the work immediately. Overall, I was very satisfied with the work and the people. I will use them anytime I need service! And recommend them to my friends. Thank you!!!

They were excellent. We had a little issue with the gate closing automatically and they sent someone out immediately to take care of the issue.

Emilio was the most knowledgeable of 4 contractors I received quotes from for this job. His price was right in the middle of them, and seemed very fair. He was very busy but managed to install my gate for me before my upcoming vacation, even though it was a time crunch to do so. The gate has been up about a year now and still looks wonderful and functions just as I intended for security and privacy. After a home in my neighborhood was robbed, I had that neighbor call Emilio and he also installed a gate for them. They are also pleased with the look and functionality of their gate. I would recommended Custom Security Fence and Ironworks for a fair price and a quality product as well as their willingness to accomodate the customer.

Contacted A&B Metals, who came by very promptly and did an excellent job at a reasonable price.

They came sometime within the last 6 months in 2013 at the end of the Summer. My experience seemed to be just fine. They responded to us right away and they came back in December to change our batteries. They are also very punctual and they do a good job.

This company is great! They showed up on time (which is half the battle with contractors). The guy was able to fix our gate. The battery needed to be replaced and the arm needed adjusting. He was also able to replace a rusty hinge on another smaller gate. He showed up dressed professionally and worked hard until he completed the job. He also did not try to sell me on some other system or product (which many other have done). He completed his tasks, cleaned up, and left.

After reading positive reviews on Angie's List, I called them to service our gate opener. The technician determined the batteries needed replacing, so we had him go ahead with that. Within 2 weeks, the gate was acting up again in the same manner. We called to have them come back, and were informed that we would still have to pay a (rather sizeable) service call fee. My husband and I took great issue with that, since we had already paid a service call fee and they clearly had not fixed the problem. My husband called to speak to them, and initially, they agreed to waive the service call fee, after lengthy discussion. When my husband mentioned the possibility of negative feedback on Angie's List, the man he was speaking with tried to threaten him, saying "We know your name and where you live!" Further, after discussing with them at length their "system" of working on gates (no testing, just an approach of "if the first thing we try seems to work, that must be what the problem was"), my husband determined he didn't want them to come work on our gate. Companies that care about their customers do not threaten them!

Very great experience. Very knowledgable about the work, and very rapid even though we had a lot of rain during the job. Great overall experience.

Emilio was very professional, knowledgable, and helpful. He gave us an estimate on the first visit and set up a date for installation. Two men came on the day of installation and the job was finished in about 2 and one half hours. (The railings had been made in the shop before the men came to the house.) The railings turned out to be just we had asked for. They are sturdy, nice to look at, and actually improve the looks of the ourside of our home. We had some difficulty finding a company who would do this kind of job. Many companies do fences but few do railings. We were happy to find them.

I first used this company in 2009 to reset the hinge post on my driveway gate ($845.00). Last month the gate was scraping on the driveway when it opened and eventually could not open at all because it was getting stuck on the driveway. I called Emilio for help. Spoke with him on the phone. He sent someone out that day to give me an estimate. Someone called me back that afternoon with the estimate. I okayed the estimate, gave Emilio the gate keypad code, and the gate was repaired the same day. About two weeks later the gate was not quite shutting all the way (it was no longer scraping). I called Emilo again and he sent someone out to the house one day later to adjust the gate motor. No questions ask, no additional charge, no trip charge. The gate works great now! I would definately use this company again.

Overall, the team worked diligently and did an excellent job. Emilio came out and had a more professional demeanor than some of the other companies (all from Angie's List). We got 4 total estimates and Custom Security Fence & Ironworks was well below the other estimates. The co. was also eager to start and get all done. We are extremely pleased with the work quality and price. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family. In fact, our neighbor who works from home and was able to watch the workmanship, even commented to us that the team was very professional and did a great job. Our neighbors will use the same co. when they put up a new fence and get an iron gate in the near future.

I have used this company twice in the past and as usual I was very impressed with the service provided. I called the company to request service, and was given a quote over the phone based on the measurements I provided. A sales representative came out the next day, to take measurements and fill out paperwork. He was prompt and professional and was always available to answer questions, by phone, about the installation. The workers were here 2 business days later, on time, to install the bars. The work was completed in less than 2 hours. This company continues to impress me with quality workmanship, prices, and professionalism.
