See review on July 23, 2015. Same exact job pretty much. Price based somewhat on square footage, naturally, so them people must've had a big-a** house. Ours is a bit less than 2500sq ft. EVERYONE to whom we've spoke at this company from the initial inspection to the checkups has been VERY professional, and VERY honest. Our house was made in 2000 with PVC in the attic, instead of copper, so one of the hoses snagged a joint and busted it loose. Otherwise, the guys would've been outta there before 5pm that day. Instead, it took the wife a good few days of setting her vacation aside to chase around significant follow ups to ensure there was no water damage--apparently, they did a d*** fine job in addressing the disaster recovery. Aside from that sole particular inconvenience, everything initially promised has been fulfilled. I've actually noticed an improvement from the new insulation on how much cooler our house is. On my days off when I forget to adjust the thermostat, it takes A LOT longer for me to notice and go bump it back down than usual. Typically, it'd be long before noon; now, it's more like 1-2pm. A lot of reviewers on Yelp try to claim the price is a ripoff. A lot of people are either idiots, sticker-shocked, or just don't consider the investment being made--not everyone has 10k laying around/in a bank acct...we didn't. Regardless, their warranty is LIFETIME on the house ITSELF (not just the owner, which is a good selling point), and they're up front about every detail, including installments/adjustments/additions, you name it. Just keep them in the loop, and it's included in the coverage. If you're dragging your feet considering these guys, as Shia LaBeouf says, "JUST DO IT! You're wasting your time!"

I did not know you can have small rodents and not know it. We heard a noise in the attic we don't go up there. The things that are stored there we never use. The noise told us something had to be up there. I called a few places decided on Critter. It took them one day to complete the process. They covered everything. We had to leave when they spayed the disinfectant. There was a miss communication about how much duct work they would replace. But over all they did a great job. They came back a couple of times to but in more insulation. There was a small rodent problem after everything was done. They kept coming back until the issue was resolved. I appreciate the amount of time that was spent making sure everything was done right. There was some minor damage to my new hardwood floors and they sent someone out to take care of that. It is like new. I feel very confident that if I have any sign or issues with any rodent they will come out and take care of it. I like the fact that the house has a life time service guarantee. When I sell the house it will stay with the house. That is another good selling point for the house. I do recommend this company if you have any pest issues. I am also going to get the insect taken care of.

We heard scratching noises from out attic and contacted Critter Control of Houston. Craig came in for an inspection and we found out that we had rats/mice in our attic as well as possum/raccoon feces in some areas . We got a whole package which involved vacuuming out all the existing insulation, inspection of the electrical's and duct-work, spraying the whole attic down with sanitizing agent and putting down new cellulose insulation. The crew arrived on time on the day and were very professional and friendly. They explained what they were doing at each step, showed us the progress periodically and answered all our questions. They did a clean job and made sure we weren't inconvenienced in the house while they were doing the job. Overall, even though the entire job was very expensive, I would definitely recommend Critter Control of Houston to everyone. I was very satisfied with their work.

They came after to check everything was sealed and no critters were left behind. We did have several squirrels trying to get back into the house. I would call because I would hear the activity and they still came out to assess! At this time we have NO more issues with the squirrels. I have recommend them to several people .

I did my research and had three different estimates as suggested. Critter Control was the most expensive but they also gave much more service along with a fantastic guarantee which will help when I try to sell my house. I think despite the high cost (and having to take out a loan) they earned every penny. I was happy to see their trucks were professional looking when three big trucks and seven guys jumped out in my cul-de-sac. It looked like an invasion. My only concern was the browned grass that their vacuum engines left behind but the grass recovered quickly and all is well. Brandon and his crew were great and they arrived as scheduled despite having a late night helping their previous customer. I can't say enough about how impressed I was with their positive attitude and polite manners. It didn't even phase them when I asked lots of questions or that I often climbed up into the attic to check their progress and make sure the guys were okay. I was so worried about them in my hot attic but they assured me they were used to it and were fine. They found three dead rats, seven snake skins (two I was able to actually view) and a snake nest with eggs! Ugh! Until I had the house inspected I didn't even know there were snakes up there. Unfortunately one live snake got away but I'm confident it is now dead or managed to escape. Manuel came out yesterday for my first post-inspection and found nothing in the traps Brandon left behind. I've also notice I have not had one spider, roach, ant or wasp in my home since they completed their work. I highly recommend Critter Control and I'm confident I made the right choice. A year ago, I started hearing noises in the attic and didn't know what it was. I then came home one day from an out of town trip to a horrible smell in my house. I searched many companies online and found Critter Control. They came out that same night and searched until they found the dead rat in my attic. The removed the rat, disinfected/deodorized the entire area, and then scheduled a return where they then performed a complete Entry Prevention and Repair to prevent the problem. Unfortunately, the rats dug a brand new hole in my siding sometime over the last year and hence they returned. And this time, they also started entering my home. I called Critter Control back. The salesman was very professional and spent over 2 hours inspecting my home and attic and discussing the results with me. This was all free of charge!! The solution to keep them from continuing to come back was to completely decontaminate and perform remediation (in a nut shell, removed all insulation, sanitized, and replace with insulation containing boric acid). The price seemed pretty steep, but when i compared the insulation costs to others in the area, it was actually cheaper and also included cleaning all the air ducts! More importantly, after seeing all the pictures and him showing me what was going on, there was no other answer than to have the service performed. Since i had used them previously, i trusted them completely. They came today with a large crew to perform the service. The workers were extremely courteous, helpful and thorough. I now have a rat free home and attic with a lifetime guarantee against any unwanted animals in my home. Thank you Critter Control of Houston!!

The team at Critter Control showed up on time (8:30 AM as scheduled) and with a large crew. The team was well organized and lead, with differing team members working on specific aspects of the job over the course of the day. The overall team was courteous and professional throughout the day. Upon inspection, all work was completed as described. With the sole exception of a slight attic mishap (hole in the ceiling that is to be repaired within the next day), I am very impressed with the service and execution of Critter Control.

All duct work was disconnected from the a/c heat plenum to allow the fumes to filter into the duct work.This was a long process and labor intensive. We had to leave the house for several hours when the decotaminant was used. Critter Control"s process was well managed and controlled. With a supervsor on duty at all times each phase of the job was carried out with amazing precision. The vacuumed out contaminated insulation was transported away in vacuum bags to a hazardous waste sight for disposal.The job started about 8am and was completed about 4pm.

Craig did my house inspection and did very good job explaining what he found. Animal removal was needed to remove unwanted rodents from home. Everyone from Critter Control were very professional and friendly. They were happy to answer any and all questions. The clean up they did after the job was so good you couldn't tell they had been in my home or yard. I would recommend Critter Control to anyone needing their services. Manuel has been back to my home on the follow-up visits and always been very friendly always answered any questions I had. Really like the Lifetime Guarantee that at anytime I have a problem they are a phone call away to return and fix. Thank you Critter Control for job well done.

The workers/crews that performed the services in our house were very professional in approach, very friendly, answered all questions to my satisfaction and understanding, and cleaned up after themselves very well (really couldn't tell they had been here when they left). I felt comfortable to leave the crews at the house to complete their work while I was at work (honest and trustworthy). I would definitely recommend this company to anyone else who is experiencing unwanted "guests" in their house.

This is the worst experience I had with any of the rat control companies I had come to our house to quote us. I'm not sure how they keep getting good reviews maybe their work is much more professional and up to par than the representative they sent to my house (Mark) but it was a very unpleasant experience. I live near a neighborhood "lake" with ducks and many oak trees constantly dropping acorns I have done my research and found out this is an ideal environment for roof rats and they use near by homes, that are not sealed properly, as their base home. I am a engineer and understand all the facets that come with roof rats the diseases they carry and the damage they can cause THIS IS WHY I CALLED! The guy came over and went to the attic, I was in the attic with him, and after being in there for maybe 5 minutes and not even walking to the depths of the attic (as other company reps did) turned to me and proceeded his "scare" tactic on how horrible these critters are. After telling him "I understand they are not a pet and should be eradicated please do not begin your lecture on how horrible they are I don't want to hear it," he still insisted on telling me not once but three separate times followed with the added scare of and I quote "I don't want to scare you or anything but I have a 2 year old and I wouldn't let her into your house!" He knows I have two small children in the house he could see their bedrooms the attic inlet in right by the rooms so I guess he thought he would use this to help scare me into buying into their price tag. He then proceeded to hand me his quote for nearly $12,000!!! He then proceed to tell me they are the only company that gives a lifetime guarantee in the Houston area, not true the company we went with also has a lifetime guarantee, and they are one of the few that will fog the attic so the pheromones are not left behind to attract more rats, again not true the company we went with did this also. I had two other companies out with quotes of $2,700 and $1,800 (we ended up going with the middle of the road quote these guys seemed to have the most through process for the money see my other review of Omega). The other company came out 4 separate times and finished their job over two months ago and I have not heard a thing since. Again, maybe once Critter Control actually gets the job they are great but the scare tactic they use to justify their price tag was not appreciated by this Angie's list member.

We thought we had some squirrels in our attic, but when I tried to trap them, we discovered it was a much bigger animal, and then we heard the baby squeals. I requested quotes from several companies, but I could not find any that offered the comprehensive service, rapid response time, or (most importantly) lifetime guarantee on services. I toured the attic with Craig from Critter Control (I am a skeptic and want to see things myself) and was appalled at the condition of my attic. After seeing the degraded (and disgusting) state of the insulation, I was given a quote that looked high, until I started to piece together quotes from other companies. We agreed and first thing the next week Brandon and his team were there promptly in the morning and set to work. Their capability is impressive (I'll post some images soon), as they remove, decontaminate, and reinstall insulation in one day. Brandon was open to any and all questions I had (I'm a stickler for details), and both he and Craig went to great lengths to ensure I had all the images and information needed to submit my claim to our insurance company. The team worked in skillful coordination to seal access points: place flashing in eaves, caulk the entire roofline, repair damaged soffit panels, and even place porous mesh in weep-holes to keep critters out while still allowing moisture to escape. The raccoon moved her babies in the process, but Brandon kept me apprised of the situation and how it would be handled so that we would be rid of the animals without them being harmed. New, pest-resistant insulation was reinstalled (I took this opportunity to bump it up from R30 to R36 at a reasonable cost), and they installed a one-way door and live trap to deal with the elusive mother. They had it all done at the end of the work day, cleaned up and worked with me to ensure nothing was out of place before they left. In three days we noticed there was no motion sounds in the walls or attic, but could still hear the babies crying. I called to tell them and that night Manuel came out to remove them before they were in danger of harm. They were in a tricky place, and several holes were needed in the sheetrock to find and remove all four cubs. In a couple days their sheetrock specialist came out to repair the walls, adding texturing and painting to make it seem like nothing had happened. After two follow-ups visits (each a week apart) Manuel returned to do a final inspection and remove the remaining traps (with no more animals detected, yay). While it was an investment, the peace of mind that creatures are not living above you, and that the threat of disease is diminished...and that you know they will come out if anything gets back in, ever, is worth it. In all steps of this major process, everyone I have interacted with at Critter Control, from the scheduler over the phone to the fellow cutting sheet-metal to custom fit my roof geometry, has been courteous, professional, and considerate of my many concerns. They were knowledgeable and focused on doing the job right. I hope to live in this house for a long while to come, and can do so now much more comfortably. Manuel was so friendly. He explained things very clearly and made me feel good about the chemical choices. He let me know my options and helped me make a choice that has worked out so well for my home.

we've gotten a second opinion from local Humble area pest control company. they've found nothing. the owner of critter control did call me and said if "dan" lied to us he would fire him and offered to come and reinspect my home. said he was doing a follow up investigation because of my review on Yelp. no thanks. after talking to the owner some of the things he said just didn't pass the smell test. claiming other write ups on yelp were either unsubstantiated or was by another bad employee who they fired. well just read the A reviews and - look at the cost! and the work performed! makes you wonder how many of those poor people were actually taken to the cleaners by this outfit. the sales pitch and problems described are eerily close to what they told us.

First of all, I would highly commend the wonderful presentation by Craig, who made our initial survey and evaluation. He was knowledgable and articulate, and employed no pressure or scare tactics. The process was beautifully planned and executed. Staff was well-trained and very energetic and pleasant. Our foreman Justin ran his squad with skill and professionalism. No one was ever idle and we observed no lost time. I was impressed by the thorough cleanup and the concern for our comfort during the procedure. The crew worked from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. After trying a simpler fix early on, we soon discovered we would need a more extensive plan. This treatment has worked without a hitch, and we appreciate very much the lifetime guarantee and promise of annual reviews. Our follow-up representative, Manuel, has exhibited a most professional and personable manner, reassuring and pleasant. Altogether, a very disturbing and worrisome situation has been resolved by excellent workmen who are a credit to their company.

Craig did our initial inspection. He was very professional and knowledgeable and was able to get me a timely appointment for my critter removal. Justin and his team arrived when they said they would and began setting up. They covered all their traffic areas and affected furniture with plastic. All the team were professional and courteous. They kept me apprised of their progress and cleaned up when they finished. The only downside was the price but getting rid of unwelcome guests had to be done.

They were very professional and knowledgeable. It was a little pricey but it was well worth my piece of mind. They have been out for three follow up visits and the technicians are very informative each time. They have been very accommodating and I would use them again in the future.
