Everything was great. Craddock worked efficiently and quickly, and it did a good job.

Craddock Roofing installed our 30 year roof approximately 15 years ago and did an exceptional job. In January of 2012 a small leak developed over one of the bathrooms. We called Tom Craddock and he came to the house the same day, checked the leak, and gave an estimate. The quote was very reasonable. They returned the following day and made the repairs. Amazingly quick service and at a fair price. Unfortunately, after a heavy rain two weeks later, the roof leak was back and actually worse than before. We called Craddock again and they were back within 24 hours to fix the leak. They were attentive, apologetic, and made repairs at no charge. Another week later, the leak was back. Craddock Roofing returned, did more extensive repairs, and again at no additional charge. Everyone we've dealt with at Craddock Roofing has been great and I would use them again. That said, if the roof leaks a 4th time, I may be rethinking all of the above.

They were very efficient, easy to work with, and they did an excellent job. They were expensive, but they were worth it.

After I'd already finished filing a claim with my insurance company, I started looking for contractors. Craddock Roofing was high on my list because of their experience, BBB rating and Angie's List reviews. Tom was very professional and gave me a detailed quote. He answered all my questions thoroughly and seemed competent, reliable and trustworthy. I had narrowed it down to 2 companies and although I liked Tom better than the other company's representative, I decided to go with the other company because (at the time), the other company offered a better mfr warranty for the same price. Now, several months after my roof was replaced, I wish I had gone with Craddock Roofing instead of the other company because I am finding out how unprofessional the other company is being. In the end, I should have gone with my gut and not just the numbers.

After settling with my insurance company on Hurricane Ike damage, I chose Craddock Roofing to perform the above services. Craddock's estimate was in line with other bids. What made Craddock stand out was the details in their bid: They listed the exact brands and types of materials to be used and backed the work with a written warranty on both the materials and labor. It also appeared they were using higher grade materials than some of their competitors' bid specs. The work was performed on time. I went a few hundred dollars over the initial estimate due to rotting wood that wasn't evident until the old roof had been removed; however Craddock did the extra work for little more than the cost of the additional materials. They also were very professional in pointing out the rotten areas and explaining why the additional work was requiored. They cleaned up the yard and were careful to be sure every bit of debris (including nails) was picked up. My roof is now the nicest looking one on the block, and I have had no issues whatsoever with leaks or other problems. A few other general roofing tips for Angie's List members based on my research: * It's worth the extra $1000 - $1200 to upgrade from basic shingles (rated for 60-70 MPH wind) to 110 MPH rated shingles. Even if you live 50-75 miles from the coast, spending the extra money now may prevent you from having to replace the roof due to a storm equal to Ike. * The radiant barrier board is worth every penny, especially over a vaulted ceiling where it's impossible to add insulation. During the past week of 90+ degree days, I've noticed my living room is staying about 5 degrees cooler than last summer and my central AC is running a lot less. As an added bonus, the installation of radiant barrier board should be eligible for the energy efficiency Federal Tax Credit.

They came out rather promptly to do the work. That was very important since many roofs were damaged here in Houston. They finished the work in a timely manner. We talked to a few of their workers and we felt like they were quite professional. They made sure to clean up after themselves when they were completely done not so much daily. After shopping around I figured out the average market value of roofs and I found their prices to be right on target.

He has been around for 20 years. A part of the reason I like them is their salesman is also extraordinarily knowledgeable. I read all the warranties of all the different manufacturers and to get certain warranties I require someone that is certified. He was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and the crew was equally professional. The quality of their work was outstanding. Their prices were very competitive.

We had a great experience with them. They got the job done when they said they would and were very skilled as they knew what they were doing. I liked the fact that all of the nails and old roofing was cleaned up before they left.
