countertops
+ -1 moreAfter they installed the countertops, I noticed a large splotch that should be blended, it looked liked a kid had spilled paint on it or something. I called them and they said to take a sledge hammer and break out the piece that was bad and they would match it. This being the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard of I said no and told them to come out and fix it. I asked them to get in touch with Filestone as it was under a 10 year warranty, so they did. Filestone agreed it was defective however Countertops Plus would not come back out, nor will they let me talk to Filestone directly. When one of the workers came back out to fix some caulking that had separated and bubbled up, he accidentally cut my phone line, but did agree to give me $50 on the spot. This has been going on for a few months now and is still not resolved.
Description of Work: Countertops Plus installed 2 L-shaped countertops, one was around my sink area and a bar countertop about 5 feet in length. The maker of the countertops is Filestone and Countertops Plus is a supplier. They also installed a stainless steel sink. The sales representative from the beginning was not very accommodating. We agreed on a price and the sink was supposed to be a free deal they were offering. When I saw my receipt it reflected a $255 charge for installing the sink, which I feel was very sneaky. They said they gave me a 10% discount off of the entire price, yet charged me for installing the sink.
