Concrete Patios Unlimited

We had a couple of sections of driveway that were heaved and cracked, due to pine tree roots. I'd gotten several bids and while Leslie's was not the lowest, he had the best reviews on Angie's list. Plus, I got a good vibe from him when he came to do the estimate; he's a very straightforward guy who did not BS me. One my concerns was making sure that the offending roots were cut out so that the problem didn't recur. Well, not only did they cut out those roots, they removed every single root in the two sections (we have large shrubs on both sides of the driveway in addition to several pines). I watched his crew work and was amazed at how hardworking and thorough they were. Specs were 4" of 3000 psi, 3/8" rebar on 16" centers with dowels to tied into the existing sections of driveway. The finished job is just beautiful. The job was largely completed in one day; they returned the next morning for a final cleanup and left the work area immaculate. I'm very pleased with the work. It's so refreshing to hire a reliable company that clearly takes pride in their work. I happily recommend this company and would not hesitate to hire them again.

From start to finish, Leslie and the crew did a great job. I was very particular with the design of the front walkway, wanting 2x5 staggered poured concrete pavers. He took the drawing and made it happen, it was so easy. We added a 3x3 section to our front porch, and asked him to replace the existing slick front porch tiles with a stamped concrete finish. It's amazing, you can't tell the new section from the old, and the finish is exactly what we were looking for. Finally, he installed an 17x18 back patio with the same stamped finish, properly sloped for water runoff. It, too, is exactly how we pictured it. We were really delayed due to the wet spring, but once he got caught up, the process was quick and painless. I'm not one to sit back and let others do the work, but Leslie and crew show that there are contractors out there you can just hand off your plans and they will make them happen.

Leslie was very quick to respond to my inquiry and came out himself to inspect the job site. He was very knowledgeable and any questions I had were answered completely to my satisfaction. We had an existing stoop that was connected to the foundation and also a sewer flush line than we though would be major problems but Leslie explained what was necessary to be done and how it would affect the install. We have had rain on an off all week and as soon as Leslie was able to coordinate his workers they were out working and completed the job in a day. Very quick, professional and clean. The patio looks great and Leslie came out after the job was complete to collect payment and inspect the work. Would highly recommend to anyone. Very competitive quote. Leslie quoted us $2400 for the entire job...by comparison, Warren's Landscapers down the street (a brick and mortar landscaping business) quoted us $5200 total, more than twice what Leslie quoted. Glad we went with Leslie!!!! A+

The job went well, Leslie is VERY attentive and responsive. He was on the job every day watching over all the projects which put me at ease (especially with 2 small children running around). The patio was the first project. Leslie's crew came in the tore out the old concrete and put in new forms within a few days of requesting a quote. We had a few days of rain which delayed the new concrete pour but that was unavoidable. The fire pit went in next which turned out beautifully. They then moved inside for the backsplash and crown molding which took 2 or 3 days (I can't remember now). The work was impeccable and they did their best to be respectful of our home and family. The final piece was the backyard shed. Honestly, this is one of my favorite things because Leslie did such a good job of building a sturdy structure while adhering to our community association standards. The cost was also significantly lower than we would have paid for a prefab structure at Lowe's. All is all the job was definitely a mess to live in for several weeks but Leslie and his team did a wonderful job and I wouldn't definitely call him again.

Leslie responded to my inquiry promptly, came out quickly, provided a competitive quote, and explained all the details of the process/job. He provided a certificate of insurance with my name/address as certificate holder as requested promptly. Leslie promptly arranged to obtain the necessary permits which apparently is unnecessarily time consuming. Due to the fact that I could not provide a full scale survey, Leslie came out to take the necessary measurements and continue completion of the permit process. Leslie made certain of what I wanted, clearly communicated what he would provide in detail, and provided exactly what was requested and agreed to. Leslie started the job quickly. His team taped off the area, and hauled off all excess materials quickly. The area was swept and cleaned up at the end of each day. Leslie was very professional, and we are very satisfied with his work.

The initial contact was made on Saturday morning. Leslie answered the call quickly, wrote down my information and said he would try to make it out that day but may not because he was very busy that day. Completely understandable and he later called back to schedule for Monday at 10am. He did not show up and when we called he said that when he was on his way he called and because we did not answer he went to his next job. He did not even come to our neighborhood let alone knock on the door. We then agreed to reschedule for the next day, Tuesday at 11:30. At noon we called and he said he was at the airport and would be going out of town...so two days in a row we waited for him to arrive at a scheduled time and both times he did not show. I am very disappointed as I excpected much better service from a professional with such nice reviews.

. Very professional team. This was my 1st hot tub so I wasn't sure about the steps I needed to take. Leslie told me I needed to know the specs on the hot tub & put in the electric first. He told me that where the hot tub was going to be needed to be 5 " thick. Other companies I had called were too busy or just not willing to take this small of a job. I found him to be very informative. The patio turned out very nice. Also the man in charge of the concrete work seemed to really know his stuff. I was extremely happy with the job & would highly recommend him.

Not only did Leslie come out before the project began but also his Manager did also. Leslie designed me a front sidewalk that would absolutely take your breath away and made it come true!!! The workers showed up on time, were very personable and you could actually tell that they enjoyed their job, took pride in it and were Masters of their skills in every way. I have no words to thank each and every one involved as I am totally in awe of the outcome!!! I HIGHLY suggest this company to anyone seeking a superior job and have the confidence that it will be a "masterpiece!!!" You guys are welcome at my home anytime!!! God is GOOD!!!

We contacted Concrete Patio Unlimited for a quote on our patio remodel. Leslie came out to our house the next day we contacted him. Leslie was very professional, punctual and very patient with my questions and concerns. Due to the uncertainty about adequate slope it requires for proper water displacement, Leslie offered to come back the same Saturday with laser to accurately measure allowable slope. After measurement Leslie offered his honest opinion about the limited workable slope due the high driveway and advised that I can easily and cheaply clean my existing pavers tone to look like new. It's hard these days to find a company with such honest and integrity. Highly recommended, Leslie is def the person to call for future renovations

We were extremely pleased with Leslie and his company. He did everything when he said he would,always returned our calls immediately and was just so professional and friendly. He went beyond what was expected. The last day he dropped off a young man who cleaned all the concrete spatter off the siding on our house and the expansion joints. If you ever intend to do any type of concrete work, you have to give this company a call. They were GREAT!!

I was extremely pleased with the entire process. This project started because our original 12 x 15 foot concrete patio was sloped toward the house, causing water to pool at the back door when it rained. We had it ripped up and replaced with stamped concrete, added a couple additional feet on to the patio, and installed a cover over the entire patio. We called for a few estimates, and Leslie was right in line with the best price. He also had great ideas and offered alternatives for us to think about. The crew were very professional, and the work is very high quality (even six months later as I write this review.) The patio cover includes recessed lights and a ceiling fan and has a shingled roof, which matches the rest of the house perfectly. I was impressed at Leslie's availability. He was at the job site every day, and made sure to follow up with phone calls if we were not home. I found Leslie to be very honest, and highly recommend Concrete Patios Unlimited.

Leslie, the owner, was a complete professional all the way through. He is a good communicator and actually answered the phone when I first called for information. We made an appointment and he showed up on time at the time he was supposed to. He gave me an estimate within a couple of days. WhenI agreed to the work, his guys came the day they were supposed to, did the work they were supposed to, and competed the job when they were supposed to. I was very happy with the quality of the work also. My one problem was that the worker left a bit of trash in my front yard after he finished the job. I told Leslie that, and that same night, the trash was gone. It was a great experience. Thank you Leslie!

Leslie (owner) is an easy guy to talk to and did fantastic work. His reviews speak for themselves. No "upselling" or dishonesty. He was very upfront and came very quick with his team and got my driveway extended. If you want a reputable, honest concrete company, this is the way to go. I'm so late writing this. In December 2013 through February 2014, Mr. Massingil and his crew started work on our home. We wanted to begin the final stage of our updates and renos in our home. We had our guest bathroom totally renovated. It was in pretty bad shape. No work had been done since the house was built back in the early 70's. Thinking into the future and eventual old age, we decided to take out the tub and replace it with a ice walk in shower. It's all tile except for the all glass front. We purchased a new toilet with a bidet that was installed, mosaic tile, marble vanity, lighting (they even hid the cord of the lighted magnifying mirror into the wall), and a new linen closet. Access to the linen closet was in the hallway BEFORE you enter the guest bathroom. They were little boxed-like storage cabinets with doors. The guys installed a double sliding door and shelving that went from floor to ceiling. I LOVE IT!! I mean, what good are the bath towels outside the bathroom when you forget to get one while in the shower. My husband wanted to change our gas fireplace to an electric one. The men cut a whole into the wall to tear out the metal cabinet of the fireplace. They discovered there was enough space there for some sort of storage area. We had to order the new electric fireplace online. It took about two weeks to get it. The men installed it and designed a beautiful casing for it. I didn't want a mantel. Our new fireplace works with a remote control. Once that was finished, my husband and Mr. Massingil brainstormed and came up with the idea of a pantry for that new space. The only pantry in the kitchen was two cabinets. We made do with this, but there was never enough space for groceries. The new pantry took on a triangular shape but the guys were able to install Rubbermaid storage shelves in there. Those guys installed the shelves from the floor all the way up to the ceiling. It's like 15 feet tall. I store seasonal items (Xmas, Thanksgiving, etc.) n the upper shelves and can get them down with an installed ladder. The other wall is for brooms, mops and such. I LOVE IT!!! We had maple colored cabinets in the kitchen, white tile on the backsplash and floors, and old, dingy white walls. Mr. Massingill's painter painted those cabinets creamy white and added new silver knobs. The men added a new cool backsplash and had their plumber extend the gas line from the fireplace to the kitchen so that I can have a new gas stove (it was an electric stove before, I hated it!). We had another install the Silstone counter and then Mr. Massingil installed our sink, faucet and garbage disposal. We had another vendor extend our bamboo floors into the kitchen. Last, but not least, we had the entire interior of the house painted and trimmed with added crown molding. The house looks wonderful. I forgot to mention, my husband and I went on vacation for a week the very first week the work started. We left Mr. Massingil in charge and work continued in our absence. The men put down plastic, brown paper and sectioned off areas to keep dust and debris to a minimum. Due to the delay of the fireplace, out of stock tiles, Christmas and New Years, reno would have been completed in half the time. We are very happy with the results as we always are. Mr. Massingil and his men are trustworthy, kind, considerate, respectful and neat. We always receive bids from other vendors to make sure we are getting the best deal. It never fails, , Mr. Massingil's bids always come out on top. Honestly, even if the other bids were to come out cheaper, we would still go with Mr. Massingil's bid because of his workers and their work ethics. I know this is a busy man. Whenever he is in my presence he is constantly receiving phone calls regarding work. I don't know how he keeps up this pace. He works all over Houston and surrounding areas. At times he is working in Clear Lake, then has to drive to the other side of town to meet a potential client, then drive back to Clear Lake to complete a job. I applaud him for his hard work and strong Christian work ethics.

Called and let him know I wouldn't be using his services at this time.

Mr. Leslie, came to my home and gave me a quote to replace my driveway. He was very kind and professional. He informed me what he could do,and what he would not do; I got the impression that he was not trying to secure a sale, but inform me on how the job should be done to ensure the best results for my money. He estimated the job would be complete in three days, it was done in two. His team was very professional, respectful, polite, courteous and extremely hardworking. They came to my home and did the job as it should be done. They did not disturb me for food,drinks, restroom, telephone or anything else. I recommend this team HIGHLY.

Very poor service. We tried to sign them up but the owner blew off the appointment. When we called him, the owner seemed distracted (completely out of it). We rescheduled and he forgot again. He was confused and apologetic but if that's how they handle customers I would hate to see their work. Every other service provider was timely and courteous.

Work looks excellent. Crew were nice to deal with, clean work site. I was very happy with the whole thing, would use this company again.

I had a general idea of what I wanted and with Mr. Massengill's vision and crew of experts the results were far more than I had imagined. We worked together on the plan. The experts came when expected and worked at his direction. I now have a perfect walk-in shower with a seamless glass door. I have custom designed vanities in in both bathrooms. They took a mean tiny little storage closet and opened it up to become the focal point of the 1/2 bath. I have crown molding in my bathrooms! I have granite countertops on the vanities. I have expertly placed lighting in both bathrooms. I have a storage area for the vacuum and cleaning supplies in the full bath that was a dark unusable nook before. I have none of the horror stories about remodels that some people tell, in fact, I had FUN. This is the second time I have used Concrete Patios Unlimited and it will not be the last. We already have a plan for the 2014 project and the 2015 project. Am I satisfied with the work?? You bet I am!!

Leslie Massingill, owner, was very prompt in response to my bid request and prompt with any follow-up. He told me when his crew was to be on the job and they didn't disappoint. Leslie and crew met all their obligations, leaving me very pleased with the end results. As a retired homeowner with a fixed income, I shopped the job diligently. I obtained several bids and, although his wasn't the lowest bid, I felt very comfortable that his company was the right choice. Concrete Patios Unlimited knows concrete and driveways!

Provider showed up to give bid exactly as agreed; peformed work when and to exact specifications as agreed; completed work professionally, neatly, and at time agreed.

Contacted Leslie about my small job to give him measurements... He came out to see in person. he called me that afternoon and quoted a reasonable price after he looked the job over...I agreed to his price and asked for a written bid...2 days later I got an email with the bid but the estimate had changed to almost twice what he quoted me over the phone. When I contacted him and questioned the difference he said he would have to charge a minimum for the job since it was small...I reminded him that he quoted me a price over the phone after he had seen the job in person...he offered nothing except that his "new" price was the best he could do. ***PROVIDERS RESPONSE*** YES, I DID NOT HAVE EXACT DIMENSIONS THAT'S WHY I ENCOURAGED HIM TO HAVE A LOOK IN PERSON SO HE COULD SEE THE SPECIAL "CIRCUMSTANCES" INVOLVED........ AGAIN, AFTER HIS VISIT WE TALKED ABOUT THE DETAILS INCLUDING BEAMS AND REBAR ETC. ON THE PHONE, HE QUOTED $750 ON THE JOB, NOT $650..AGAIN, AFTER HE CAME OUT AND SAW THE JOB IN PERSON. THE "NEW" AMOUNT CAME IN EMAIL 2 DAYS LATER .... I HAVE AN AWARENESS OF CONCRETE, JUST NOT THE ABILITY TO DO THE JOBS MYSELF....THERE WAS NO MENTION OF A MINIMUM AMT FOR SMALLER JOBS, UPFRONT EVEN WITH THE INACCURATE DIMENSIONS I HAD GIVEN, ALTHOUGH OTHER BIGGER COMPANIES THAT I HAD CONTACTED FOR A BID HAD TOLD ME, UPFRONT, ABOUT THE MINIMUM AMTS. FOR A SMALL JOB....
