They should just keep the service from going down every couple of months. Their employees are good and knowledgeable when I call in. I'm in the process of shopping around.

Professionalism, when they come to your property, is not bad, but when you go to their store which I have to do occasionally is not very good. Price and reliability both need to be better.

I can't compare the prices to anybody else. Sometimes the internet won't be available, or the TV won't be available, or they are doing repair work in the area and that affects everything. I will continue to use them as of right now.

It costs $380 a month. They're slow. I have to stay with them. It's my only option.

They are fine. It works. Their pricing is okay but I don't like contracts. If there is an outage, they will text you and tell you that there is an outage and how long it will be probably. So you don't have to call them and ask them why cable is off. I have never had them come out except when they put it in. I would use them in future if I have to.

I despise them. Every time I ever have to deal with them its difficult, our internet goes out. If there is any other service provider in the area I would go with them. We have no choice in our area. They are awful. They are terrible, the individual people are nice but the company itself is terrible.

First they told me that I had to buy home phone service even though we don't have a home phone and only use cell phones. Missed the first four hour window, but made the second. Installer didn't know about wireless internet and had to call in for instructions then put the modem in a spare bedroom instead of in the office room, and he hooked up all the home phone service even though I told him not to bother. I had to pay extra of course for the wireless internet and phone installs. They started raising prices every six months and told me there was nothing they could do about it. The TV quality was poor and definitely not the HD I was paying for and the wireless internet was mediocre at best. When I finally got fed up enough and called to cancel, the rep told me how disloyal I was along with other choice words I probably can't say on here. He said they would send me a box to return the equipment because he said there wasn't a return center near me which turned out to be a lie. The boxes they sent clearly didn't fit my equipment and if I had used the big main box they sent, then all the equipment would be broken and I would have to pay for it. Instead I drove to the address on the box which wasn't far from me to return the equipment. I was told I couldn't return the equipment at that site, but there was a return site a few blocks away. I finally got my equipment returned and was very happy I was done with them.
Description of Work: installed new cable TV service, wireless internet service, home phone service and disconnected same.

Comcast / Xfinity is the only cable provider in my area. So yes, I'd use the service again. I've had satellite in the past and the service was even worse.

It depends on where I'm at in the house on how fast the internet is. Their equipment only works in a certain space so it depends on what side of the house your on whether you're able to get a signal.

It takes a while to connect on the land line sometimes. That's the only option for where we live. We don't have any options so that's why we have them. They are very friendly, nice and they try to help me. I would use them in the future.
Description of Work: I use Comcast's services. I have the land line phone, cable and internet through them. For land lone, I have caller ID, call waiting and voice mail.

When I called the contact number to request information, the person on the phone could not locate the offer information that had been mailed to me. After about five minutes of fumbling around, he said he had located it and would set up an appointment to have a technician come to my home. The technician was early for the appointment, and was very pleasant. When it came time to sign a contract, the contract presented did not match the offer I had received. There was no discount as promised, and the tech. had no information about the offer. When he could not change to contract, I told him I would not sign. I left it open for Comcast to correct the contract and return. After a week, I never heard from them and contacted another company for service. I felt like they either tried to cheat me or simply did not care enough about the customer to provide a correct contract for service. I will recommend that no one uses them for home security.
Description of Work: I contacted Comcast for a home security system. I had received an offer in the mail for a discount for the first two years of service.

Late for appointments. Ask for a call before they show and they dont. Still having same issues. Cable never buried have a month of missed appointments

We've had the service for over one year. The alarm went off for the first time, and they didn't get the signal! I called to tell them it was a false alarm, and I got the runaround about being a "legacy" account. I was transferred to the 'legacy" department and they were closed! I call to cancel the service for all the above reasons, including raising the rate $10 a month with no notice, and I was told I was "not authorized on the account." Interesting, because I have been the only person to pay this bill and made all the upgrades to the account. They were happy to allow the changes when it meant more money each month, but were adamant about their policy in this matter. Use Smith Thompson, don't bother with Comcast. You will save yourself aggravation.

I honestly can't recount the last 3-4 weeks of trying to get this company to come fix the problem with my useless internet without wanting to scream. Several techs have come and told me that the problem is not the equipment or wiring in my home, it is the cable outside somewhere in my yard or my neighbor's hard. However, they don't actually ever send a person to fix that. When I call again, every few days, they send another tech out who tells me the same thing. I can't find any way to get customer service to tell me when they will actually repair this, so I am cancelling. I pay $160 for cable/phone/internet, so I don't know how much is for which service. All I know is, I am getting rid of all of it, even if Windstream is as terrible as others are saying, it can't be worse that what I have right now. I am basically flushing my money down the toilet. The customer service at Comcast is a joke.
Description of Work: My internet service degraded severely in August of 2012, and it has been three weeks now, innumberable phone calls, 3 tech visits, and a lot of promises, but I still don't have it fixed. Right now it literally drops the connection every few seconds. Forget Netflix or online gaming.

They are the big one in the area and we prefer them to the alternative. They are pretty good. Given where we are the services beats the heck out of the satellite competition.

We have a contract for 3 TV sets. I don’t know if they are better than the satellite providers.
