They never did any work.

They were very good, they worked with me the best they could, they did a lot of little things that we had not planned on for me. They were pleasant people to work with and they had a fair price.

I called Collin and Caroline in March of '08 for an estimate. They were estimate number 4. They were on time for our appointment and the only contractor to give me ideas about design, what I could do, what would work and their recommendations. The other contractors only gave me bids with hardly any input from them about what would work and what wouldn't. Caroline has wonderful taste and vision. Collin aims to please his customers and both bend over backwards to ensure a pleasant remodeling experience. They are a mom and pop team and sometimes, it appears the they over extend themselves but in the end, they keep their word and do what they say they will do for a very good price........cheap, no, but you get what you pay for.....if you're looking to do something on the cheap and cut corners, they are not for you. If you want quality remodeling with a flair for the elegant at a fair price using a very honest contractor, this company is the one. I was having my back door installed at the same time by a different contractor as it wasn't part of the original deal with Collin and yet, Collin caulked it for me as a favor while I was at work. He also helped me install my water to my new fridge that went out during Hurricane Ike and did it as a favor..........he could have charged me but he didn't. They both truly care about what they do and who they do it for. I believe that they are as picky about who they work for as the people that hire them! That's a good thing.

They came out to give an estimate on building a deck. We were to receive the estimate with in a weeks time. It has been over 4 weeks and we've not received so much as an email or phone call. I think it is poor business practice, very unprofessional and discourteous not to respond even if your response is not one of acceptance of the work.

Three bids were acquired with Collin Services being the lowest. They said they would start in two weeks and did start in two weeks. Gave them an idea of what I wanted to spend and they stayed within budget. Caroline and Collin designed kitchen and finished product reflected that design. Though they typically did not work an entire 8 hour day, hours at site were all productive with no down time. Though the original estimate of time to completion was two weeks, total project took four weeks. The kitchen was functional within two weeks, but final "punch out" not complete for four weeks. That said, the finished project was so well done and exactly to my satisfaction, the extra time was not a problem for me.

After buying the part we could not turn off the water or get the part removed that needed to be replaced. After loosening the part water was running which caused concern and we wanted someone to come out immediately on a Saturday night. The plumber was prompt, knowlegeable and quick. He also showed us how to turn off the water in case of an emergency.

I don't think I had an unreasonable expectation for them to call them back. It was frustrating.

He came over one day and sanded and cleaned. The next day, he came and stained. He waited to do the work until the weather was cool and dry. It didn't take long to dry. He returned a week or so later to make sure I was satisfied.

Contractor is experienced and knowledgeable about remodeling work and is very conscientious about details and desires to please the owner. They have knowledge about color selections, resources of products, assisted in supplying samples and picked up Owner-supplied items. The assembly of kitchen cabinets was fast and at lower cost than other quotes. This contractor provided work on a written itemized basis as they proceeded; there were no extra costs for accepted prices. Most importantly they assumed the project work as a general contractor but did not mark-up the usual overhead and profit. We allowed generous construction time.

They never got back to me, so I went with someone else.

I think they did a good job. This was a three month process to be completed which was a lot of work. They were here every day. They were pleasant and professional to be around; they were delightful. We would hire them again for future work.

I first called Collin Services on 9/4/07 to request an estimate. However, in the middle of my voice message I was cut off because the answering machine was full. I called Collin Services again on 9/22/07 and left a voice message, but they never returned my call.

If it wasn't for the surprise increase in the charges it would've been a perfect experience.

Caroline and Collin came out to provide a quote for all of the work on our to-do list. Within a few days, Caroline emailed a detailed estimate with a breakout of cost by item. We then scheduled the work for a week later. Collin arrived on time with a helper. The helper continued to work while Collin left to purchase parts he could not pre-purchased (i.e. faucet tap valve which he did not want to remove until just prior to work so that faucet would remain in service). When work was completed, they cleaned up thoroughly. Although we had originally planned to do the exterior work another day, Collin arranged his schedule to come back that afternoon so I didn't have to miss work again. He was very polite and concerned that all work was done to my satisfaction. Caroline was also always helpful and courteous on the phone. We received a written final statement via email a few days after the work was completed and paid by check in the mail.

Bathroom to replace the faucets. I also wanted a ceiling fan done since they do handyman work. I got an estimate back on the 11th. They just left on the 5th all they did was look at things. The estimate said on the bottom if you wish to be put on the schedule please call. My ASAP just went out the window somewhere. I didn't use their service I didn't even bother to call them back. The estimate was $1580.00; I got the work done for $872 less. I paid $708.00.

Collin Services took care of virtually all of my home repairs - everything from plumbing to electrical work to remodeling the kitchen with granite and a tile backsplash plus installing new appliances. They were very professional and considerate of my time. In addition, they did an excellent job in terms of craftsmanship. They also were very aware of my budget and did things to lower the cost, such as letting me buy my own appliances, kitchen disposal, garage door mechanism prior to installation. Great job!

Collins Services completed a full kitchen remodel and did a fantastic job. They kept me appraised of costs and scheduling, and met their commitments related to the original bid and any previously discussed additions. Caroline and Collin were easy to work with and very knowledgeable. The work was completed with extreme professionalism. I would recommend them highly.

What impressed me the most is not just his experience, but that he was here when he said he would be- nobody likes to wait around. He's a very pleasant person.

This was a great experience, there is good communication, they give an exact time they will come instead of a 3 hour window and show up when they say they will. The work was done carefully and with care and he spent about 4 hours at my home. Collin cares about his work, will do it right and takes his time to insure that it is done so. His prices are very reasonable, not the cheapest in town but certainly fair and worth the quality of work you receive.

The person assigned was really polite and nice, but came at 10:30 at night which was really late! I wish he had come earlier, so we could have shown him the other stuff we needed help with.

I will be using this company from now on whenever I need work done around the house. Everyone was real professional and great to work with. Reasonable price considering all the work I had done. Was a few minutes late, but they were thorough and cleaned up after themselves. Stayed and made sure all the appliances were functioning like they should be.

Very responsive, he came out on a Saturday and he was good, efficient and responsible.

I am very satisfied with Collin Services. I use them for everything. They are always on time and very reliable. I never have any problems at all with them. There is nothing Collin can not do. I always call them first if I need something done because nine times out of ten they can do it. I just had them here a couple of months ago for some plumbing and today they came to fix a light switch. The price is fine and I have no problems with that either.
