Hiram and his company are top notch! We originally found him 5 years ago when we moved into a new house that had rats in the attic. He is super honest and easy to work with, and quickly solved our rodent issues and sealed up all the entry points for reasonable cost. We had the attic re-insulated afterwards and haven't had any issues since. We called him back a couple years later to install two fireplace log kits and repair some parts of a broken outdoor fireplace. Today he came out to ease my mind about animal noises I heard that I thought were coming from inside the attic (but apparently were on the roof). He was super honest that he didn't see a problem and didn't pressure me into any services. Standup guy and company - I highly recommend.

Highly recommend Chimney Wildlife Houston. They were very professional from start to finish. Returned calls, set on-time appointment and the person inspecting was clearly an expert. He was very nice and explained clearly what the issues were and how to fix them in a reasonable manner. We will definitely use them again. Excellent service and fair price.

We had a very unfortunate situation with a feral cat I rescued a several years ago. About 2 years ago, she began viscously and randomly attacking me for no reason. It happened again a few days ago, but it was like nothing I have ever seen. She literally went mad. She had us trapped in a room attacking anyone that tried to leave. After calling the SPCA and several other services but getting no answer (this occurred on a Sunday), we called Chimney and Wildlife Specialists. A man named Hiram Martinez came to our home. He explained he would safely remove the cat and take her to a shelter in Conroe for evaluation and that she may have to be put down. It was a tough decision, but we were out of options and wanted to make sure she was handled humanely. She had been a part of our family for almost 4 years. We loved her. He assured us she would be treated kindly. After he left with her, I followed up with Mr. Martinez to make sure she arrived at the shelter safely. He assured me she had, but when I checked with all of the shelters within a 50 mile radius of Conroe, she was nowhere to be found. I reached out to Mr. Martinez again, and he refused to explain why I was unable to find her at any of the shelters and refused to provide proof that he had dropped her off as promised. I contacted Chimney and Wildlife Specialists directly about this incident and received no response. I hate to think of what happened to her at the hands of Mr. Martinez. If this is how they treat beloved pets, I can't imagine what they do to other animals they remove.

Hiram and his assistant arrived right on time. This hazardous work was performed professionally and to my complete satisfaction. They even painted sides of the cap to match my house paint. During the work, Hiram explained everything and even gave me some useful advice about how to paint the rest of the chimney safely on the very-steep pitched roof. The price I paid was a little less than I had expected and I appreciated being able to pay with my credit card.

Hiram called before 11am to say he was on his way to my house for my appointment that was set for between 11-1. I was pleasantly surprised that he arrived at the earlier end of the appointment window so I didn’t have to wait around. He quickly assessed what needed to be done and gave me a fair price. He cleaned out the bird nest debris from the vent and replaced the broken vent cover with a caged cover that birds can’t get in. I was very pleased with his work.

One of my vent covers broke and I had birds nesting in my dryer vent. While I love the idea of baby birds chirping in my vent, all of the debris in there was unfortunately interfering with my dryer, and therefore I had to evict my new tenants. That's where Hiram comes in! He gave me a ballpark estimate straight away over the phone so that I wouldn't run into any surprises when he came by, showed up the same day that I called, safely got the birds away, removed the nest, and cleared out a LOT (I seriously mean a LOT) of debris from my dryer vent. Took it apart, cleaned it out, put it back together in no time. It's unfortunate that I had to boot out the new tenants in my home, but they weren't paying rent and they made a bit of a mess! Either way I'd definitely recommend Houston Chimney and Wildlife! Quick to respond and fantastic work and service.

The minute I heard the noises, I called. They responded quickly and set me up with an appointment. Two days before the appointment they called to see if I would like someone to come earlier since they had a job that ended before schedule. Hiram came to my house and quickly discovered the point of entry. There was no access to the part of the attic where the (soon to discover) possum was, so Hiram had to fashion a cage along the eaves of my roof to capture it. Problem solved. Hiram was professional and courteous. He worked to figure out the solution and then my problem was solved. It was perfect. I also Hiram clean out my dryer vent.

Hiram was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He carefully explained instructions to me for future reference, and he did not try to see me other products. First, he talked through my problem with me on the phone, which was helpful. He called before he came and then showed up when he promised.

Found Chimney & Wildlife Specialists - Houston through Angie's List. Contacted the company when we "thought" we had birds in our chimney. Spoke with Hiram who listened to our issue and got us on the schedule with their first available opening. Hiram arrived on time as scheduled and promptly went to work. After inspecting the entire chimney area, Hiram explained that we did not have birds nesting in the chimney but that the birds may have landed on the top of the chimney and caused the noise we had heard. After he completed his inspection, Hiram showed us pictures of the chimney and explained that our chimney cap was secure. He did not try to sell us unnecessary services we did not need. We were only charged for the service call. I found Hiram to be very professional and of the highest integrity. Based on this experience, I would highly recommend Chimney & Wildlife Specialists - Houston.

There is wasp nest in my chimney. I was thinking installing a top level damper. I was quoted of more than $1000 by 3 companies. When I talked to Hiram, I was told that it is best to install the chimney screen. It would only cost $150. He is polite and professional. He doesn't try to up-sell. I would definitely use him again. He also kindly show me the inner working of chimney gas controller.

My chimney was leaking and I did not know it until it had ruined my bedroom wall and stained my downstairs living room ceiling. It had gotten so bad the chimney was actually leaning and I was afraid to park under it. I called a number of "chimney experts" and received bids but when Hiram arrived I knew I had found the right person. After inspecting the chimney he explained exactly what was involved and what the cost would be, including removing the critter that had gotten in my attic through the hole. I hired him on the spot because his price was good, he was very knowledgeable and explained exactly what had to be done and what had happened. Although he was very booked, he made time to come by and wrap the chimney with a tarp to prevent further damage from the predicted heavy rains. His crew was there exactly when they said they would be, Hiram kept me advised on their progress on a daily basis and on completion the entire area was left clean and neat. If Hiram and his crew did other other types of work I would hire them in a second! See the pictures and decide for yourself. By the way, the tarp kept the critter out and Hiram took the charge off the bill without any reminder.
