Description of Work: Carlos Silva (AKA Jesus Carlos Silva) was hired on to remodel my master bathroom and we wrote up a contract and paid half the amount up front. No work was ever done and we made multiple requests to get the money back. We recorded conversations and wrote certified letters from an attorney. Finally we filed a police report, and apparently we were not the only people he had done this same thing to. All in all he had taken over $35,000 of other people's money that we know about. Finally, as of November 2015, Mr. Silva is in prison and has a sentence of 5 years for theft of $20,000-$100,000. This was a horrible situation, but we all learned our lesson. He talks an amazing talk, but that is all there is. This is all public information! Do your due diligence and look up people before handing over any money!
