We had a scheduled appointment with Essence to clean our home on Thursday, September 17. She was supposed to arrive between 10:30 ? 11:30. She called at 9:17 to tell me she had a flat tire and was sitting on the side of the freeway, so she would be running late. Told her no problem, thanks for letting me know. She said once the flat was repaired she would be on her way. She contacted me again at 10:54 to say she was still sitting on the freeway waiting for help but there was damage to her rim, so they have to find a replacement. She didn?t know how long that might take. She texted, then called, me wanting to know if the tire was repaired too late could we reschedule for the next day. I told her I had appointments but would rearrange my schedule to accommodate her coming the next day. She said same time ? I later received an email confirmation. At 10:47 and 10:48 the next day Essence called. I missed her calls, but I called her back at 11:09 when I got her voicemail saying she was lost. I immediately texted her asking her to call me. She called me back at 11:20. When I asked her where she was located so I could give her directions, she told me she had already left my area because I missed the thirty-minute window she allows people to respond. REALLY? After I rearranged my schedules Thursday and Friday to accommodate her problems, she wants to blame me for her inability to arrive at my house when she said she would -- and she imposes a time limit for me to respond and give her directions? She wanted to reschedule again, but I told her I?d make other arrangements. I believe that things happen for a reason, so I probably dodged a bullet. If you have someone that irresponsible and self-righteous cleaning your home, you can expect problems -- and, of course, they will be your fault.
