Description of Work: We bought this home and felt fairly lucky, loved the neighborhood as it was further out and more suburbia. The salesman lied to us about the public pool in the community and told all of us that bought homes that we were included, we were not. This caused a stir and we had meetings and fees discussed, etc. We now have pool access but you have to go down there, they take a photo of you, and so on, ridiculous. The home is of very poor quality and I do realize that they probably used many contractors that could have cared less. The windows all leak, they have come back out withing the warranty period of one year and re-caulked them, they leak to this day. The sub floors upstairs are of a thin fiber board that they put in with nails and not screws, therefore, they squeak and moan with every step. All of the walls have texture, they must have come in and applied this spray to be quicker, this stuff is terrible, it's a thin coat of pain so when you wipe off a wall, there goes the paint and that crumbly textured stuff, so you have to do touch ups. Also, when hanging a picture, you have to knock some of it off in order for a picture to hang straight. The shower was installed improperly in the master bath and leaked unbeknownst to us for a few years until it hit the ceiling downstairs. There was not proper backing behind any water surfaces; baths, showers, etc. so we've had mold problems and many repairs and dollars later we are still in this money pit. The doors are standard, as is the carpet, the brick veneer (meaning your house is really a wood underneath and that put up some brick in front for looks, there's a large space between the two so we have bug problems more than most I gather. I have found when I pulled up the carpet on the stairs that they apparently had scraped the mud off their shoes all over the steps. The sub floor fiber boards upstairs warp and slope at times depending how heavy your bed is. The stainless steels sinks that were original with the house were rusting, I called the builder's office and a disgruntled employee informed me that a lot of things they purchase are irregular or sub-standard and that these sinks were rejected for regular sales and they paid about 8.00 a piece for them. The house had cracks in doorways and in the foundation which you could see and when brought to their attention told me the house was simply settling. The cracks come back after repairs and I find out that I have a large sinkhole under my home and since the warranty was up I had to pay for 7 piers for the foundation. They like to pat you on the back and act like you know nothing and then the time slips and they don't have to deal with you any longer as the warranty is up. We have drainage problems, toilets backing up in the back yard, this happened about 10 times, only to discover that the workers had put their trash in our drains, or flushed them, I'm not sure, there were wads of duct tape, pencil pieces, drill bits and so forth found. The plumber they used was decent enough and agreed these items were not my fault and there was no charge as we were under warranty. The windows are not of a standard size and was told they too were bought cheaply because of this, our doors are hollow, you can hear everything throughout the house as it's not insulated well at all, there's no being sneaky at my house, between the super creaky floors upstairs to being able to hear through the walls, nothing gets by me. I do love our neighbors but I cannot wait to move into a home that built better. I later saw the salesman, about a year after we bought our home as he was working in my office building with another builder and I was angry and told him, "Shame on you, you are devious and knew how bad these homes were built." He apologized and explained to me that that is why he left. Now when you come in to my home, you will see some cracks as it seems to not matter how many times they are repaired they will never go away without replacing the walls themselves. Oh! forgot to mention that when repairing the ceiling downstairs we found a lot of the workers' trash from their lunch breaks, even found beer bottles and cans buried in the backyard. This causes bugs galore. Don't buy from them unless you watch it being built from the ground up, they cut corners unbelievably and it shows.
