They did good work, however they show no interest in any repair short of replacing the carburetor. Sometimes the problem is just proper adjustment or a new spark plug or spark plug wire. This company does not want to fool with that but instead will replace the carb and then go from there. The minimum for that is around 100 dollars. So if you are ok with replacing the carb and getting it running, this is the place for you. At the end of the day, this fix will work.
Description of Work: I had a couple of small engine repairs.

Called vendor and provided generator model and received a verbal quote. Drove to location and was informed that they don't work on "those types" of generators. Waste of time. Be very specific and ask before driving to this vendor if they work on the equipment you need serviced. I thought I did, but was turned away. Very disappointing.

The Snapper I was able to get it spinning, but it just wouldn't run. He was able to fix the lawn mower just fine. I also had a Sears weed eater that wouldn't accelerate. I brought it out but he was charging an extra $150.00 to fix that. I might as well buy a new one with that money. I took the carburetor off of the weed eater and set it in some cleaner, placed it back on the weed eater, and now it runs just fine. All done within an hour. Bridges were fine and they weren't dishonest. I would see them again for another big problem, but leave the minor issues to someone else.
Description of Work: He fixed my old Snapper lawn mower that looks like the one that Forrest Gump rides.

That's in the part above.
Description of Work: I took a Toro mower in for a tune-up (it wouldn't start) and was told I would take about a week to get an estimate. It did take a week for the estimate (they are REALLY busy - mostly with commercial customers). When I told them to go ahead with the work, the guy on the phone told me "It will take about a week. Don't call - we'll call you". He seemed kind of cranky, and when I dropped off the mower, the guy that helped me acted like I was bothering him. Anyway, I got the mower home, and it still didn't run (it started, but would not ron more than 5 minutes). My wife took it back and told them what was going on. They immediately took it, drained the tank, checked the carburetor, filled it with gas and got in running. She said that they were courteous and apologized for the problem. I was glad that they took care of it right away, but would have prefered that they had done more than just started it and not run it for several minutes when I first had it repaired. My impression is that their business is 95% commercial lawn companies, and they will work on equipment for homeowners, though it seemed that if they had their choice it would probably be commercial accounts only (if that isn't the case, Bridges, sorry, but your guys are not the friendliest people I've ever met nor do they act like a homeowner is a very important part of your business). I was happy with the work and price, and considering the amount of equipment that they had to work on, the time was reasonable.Yes, I'll go there again, but I won't go there for the great conversation.

I too contacted Bridges Lawn Equipment and given a rough estimate over the phone and told to bring the tiller in. Bridges would be calling with detailed information abt repair required within a week. The did Just that. Gave the go ahead. Needed to order parts for repair and advised it would be 10 to 14 days and they'd call when the work was done and ready for pickup. That's exactly what they did too. Absolutely the place to go for small engine repair. The are very courteous from the counter to the repairmen in the back. These people are so pleasant because they can take great pride in the work they do and the customer service they provide. Above and Beyond. Bridges will always get me back in the door and I'll never hesitate to give their name out as a referral resting assured that whom ever I send in there they'll get the same high quality treatment. Could not be happier. And thrilled to have found a resource that I'll always be able to depend on for future work. THANK U BRIDGES!!!!!! You're a 5 star with me.....

I placed a call to Bridges on August 16th. I described the problem I was having and was told it sounded like the carburetor needed to be rebuilt. He said along with that he does a tune-up. The phone estimate was $85 and he said it would take 10-14 days. I took the lawn mower in on the 17th and was told he would call with a free estimate by Friday or Monday (3-5 days). He called on Monday (23rd) morning saying the carburetor needed to be rebuilt as well as the tune-up and it would be $85. He would call when it was ready, probably by the end of the week. I received a call that Thursday saying it was ready. I picked it up on Friday and the bill was $88.16 which included tax. I couldn't be happier with the service, timing and cost to repair. I'll be sure to keep them on my list for the future.
Description of Work: Rebuilt Carburetor and did a tune-up on a Lawn Boy push mower
