I had calcium deposits on the brick from the sprinkler system. They stained every brick to get them looking like it had never happened. They were excellent and are really nice guys. They went above and beyond in their work. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Everything went very well. The work crew came when I was leaving for work. When I came home I could not even tell were the old cracks where!! My husband was very impressed with the work around the faucet as it looked so much better. They did a great job and cleaned up good.

We had several long cracks in our brick facade on the side of our house (1960's) and most of the mortar on one of our brick front columns was missing. They came out and quickly gave us an estimate, it took a little longer once we indicated we want to proceed for them to get in touch with us, and ultimately they just came out one day (about 4 days later) and fixed it, so that we discovered it fixed (they had called and left a message, but we were already at work by that point) when we came home for work. It would have been better is there had been somewhat more communication in this regard, however the quality of the job they did was excellent and we are very pleased with it. If I didn't already know where the problem was, it would have been difficult for me to pick out the place that was repaired, it matches very closely to the original brick and cement. They were also courteous.

Gregory came on time and when he said he would. The crew that did the actual repairs were timely, professional and did a beautiful job. You can't even see where the repairs were done and there is no visual evidence that the bricks were ever damaged. I am absolutely blown away with this company. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing brick repairs.

The crew was prompt, curteous and very conscientious. The person doing the staining was especially particular about his workmanship, he would step back and work like an artist working on a canvas.

It was great. The person in the office was very polite and a good listener and responsive when she had to call me back. They showed up when they said they would. I was worried about them matching the existing mortar as the repair would show from the street...and the houseis almost 20 years old. They repaired the crack and reset the brick and stone. It looks great! The mortar matches exactly. I couldn't be happier.

It took me calling about 3 times to get them to come out and give me a quote for the job. It took them about 3-days for them to get the quote back to me after I called a couple of times. I got three seperate bids for this project and there price was in line with the others. Once I signed and faxed in the quote they never called me to schedule the work so after about a week I called them to schedule the work. Then they had to order the sealer that I had specified which took another week. The only reason I didn't give up and go with another vendor was because of their 30-years of experience in matching old mortar color, their BBB ratings and the fact they accept credit cards, which no one else does. Fortunately when they finally did come out to do the work they did an excellent job of matching my exisitng mortar color and repairing the holes and cracks some of which I did not see. The two guys that came out were thorough and paid attention to the color matching details. But most importantly I have had a least two driven rain events against this wall since they completed the work and there was no more water leaking into my house.

They matched the grout nicely. I thought that they were very efficient. They did what they said they were going to do. It wasn't a huge job, but they did good work.

The sales rep. arrived on time and walked around the house with me and took notes as I showed him what I needed done. I asked him if his company could do chimmney work and he said they could not but referred me back to angie's list for help. This was a good experience and prices were reasonable. The estimator came out promptly as scheduled, provided me with an estimate within a couple of days as promised. Once accepted, the office called me to make an appointment to get started. The crew came out and took down damaged brick 2-story arch at entrance of home that was damaged by Hurricane Ike. Preserved brick for reuse and was extremely respectful of my home preparing the site carefully to avoid damaging surrounding areas. Reinstalled arch with a better suspension system than previously installed by the home builder. Without additional costs, repairs some other mortar cracks around the home. You cannot tell where the old and new begin and end. It is an amazing job. The estimator was the project manager and he continually communicated with me. I hope I never need their services again, but if I do, I will not hesistate to call them.

The rebuilt wing wall looks great. As discussed, the wall is detached from the house, masked with some silicone caulking, to make sure the house and/or wall aren't damaged by any shifting in the foundation. We had a little delay scheduling the appointment, but once the crew was here the work proceeded well.

On Saturday gentleman showed up on time, very courteous and professional. Seemed very knowledgeable. We discussed what I wanted; clean, "caulk" and seal an exterior section of my fireplace to stop water infiltration to the inside bricks. Also clean and stain interior section of fireplace bricks where water had discolored them. He gave me 2 verbal approximate prices, $300 for exterior work and $480 for interior work. On Monday I received an email with the firm estimates, $480 for exterior work and $480 for interior work. Shocked at the increase for the first item (what happened between Sat. and Mon.?), I called first thing Monday and the very polite lady on the phone said she'd get in touch with the person who came out and have him call me. When I hadn't heard anything by Thursday, I called again and she said she gave him my message, but would tell him again. He finally called me Thursday afternoon and basically said $300 was an estimate, $480 is the price. So much for customer service.

The whole transaction was handled over the phone and I got a bid, but never saw the completed work until after they faxed me the invoice. This all occurred about a month after Hurricane Ike had hit the Houston area so they were a bit slow (> 1 week) in returning my initial phone call and another week getting someone out to the home to give me an estimate. Then, it took over a week for them to schedule the job and I was never told exactly when the work was going to be performed until it was done (not particularly good at communicating). The actual work looked good, but I felt that the cost was a bit excessive for so small a job. If I had not been selling the house, I might have reconsidered.

They were on-time and did a great job. They were responsive to the situation and I would use them again if needed. I would recommend them to others.

Be sure to get a fully detailed bid in advance with drawings of all work to be done. I made the mistake of taking their 2 sentence description and a sketch of my home (showing 5 walls, so assuming the entire house). The first bid was $1200 and I assumed this was to repair all areas on the drawing. Once the work was completed, I realized they only fixed two sides of the house...not all needed areas around the house. The bid to complete the entire house was another $1400. We did disagree about the initial proposal, but in the end, I needed to have the entire house repaired. Their work was very good, but I feel a professional company would never have given me a quote for just 1/2 of the needed repairs without making it clear that they were leaving some very large issues unaddressed on the home. Make sure you clarify the drawing and quote first if you're having multiple areas repaired.

I had two other bids for the repairs (actually tried to contact four companies, but one would not return calls). Brick restoration was not the least expensive, but their efficiency and manner impressed me.

The Thursday I called, I was told they could come Saturday, since booked Fri. I asked and was told told Greg would come in a company marked vehicle. The appointment time was between 9 am and noon. I gave them my home number and told them I would be here waiting. It's late Monday and no one ever showed and no one has ever called. They were nice on the phone but I would have liked them to return my calls. I know I did not have phone problems since I got a call. (I have call waiting, a message call center service and Caller ID, so, no call.) Given this is the 4th biz I have tried to get to come out and do work from Angie's list through no avail this year alone I will not call them again. I don't need to beg people to take my money. I will start finding people the way I used to and there is no fee.

The representative, Jonathan, was on time and very polite. A proposal was faxed to me and I agreed to have the work done. It was several days before he called to schedule. Crew was a little late but called me to let me know. A lot of things were moved away from the house and not replaced. There were droppings of mortar on the patio and patio furniture and chunks of old mortar left all around the areas where they worked as well as an empty coke bottle. Several days passed before he called to see if work was satisfactory. I told him of some places that didn't match up as well as I would have liked and about the mess that was left behind. They returned about a week later and matched up the spots I indicated. I told them I had already cleaned up from last time. The results were great! You can't tell where the large cracks had been repaired it matches up perfectly. I was very happy with the results but their professionalism needs work.

It was my understanding that the fireplace would have the cracks restored, not patched. Gregory, after some difficulties reaching him, came by, we discussed, and he offered a $100 refund. I did not have to ask for that, so overall I am satisfied with the work.

Very professional estimator; 20% higher in price, but went with these guys due to know how, quality of proposal, and they were bonded. They were very efficient with repairs and were able to match the paint color closely. Can't really tell what they repaired unless you knew where they worked. Crack repairs are fine but don't exactly match the consistency of the original mortar.

I chose Birck Restoration because out of the 3 companies I called they were most responsive and professional. Gregory, the estimator, was timely and polite. The initial quote was $640.00 and Gregory estimated it would take 3 hours. Scheduling the appointment was convenient since it could be done by email, phone or fax, and the office staff were very professional. The work was conducted by two men, but it actually took only one hour; therefore, I inquired about the price. Gregory agreed to reduce the price to $540; however, while the overall experience was positive, the price still appeared to be high for the level of work performed. In fairness, I am not familiar with masonry pricing, so it might have been reasonable. I am very satisfied with the work and the men swept the site and left it clean.

Good mortar match. Arrived on time and finished in timely manner.

The company came out, gave an estimate, arrived promptly to do the work, & did a great job. The repair came out very nice, you cant tell that the brick was cracked on the side of the house or that there were any bricks missing in the fireplace.
