+ -1 moreReally great job. The team fixed every crack and open mortar joint around the whole house. The mortar was a perfect match and once they finished, you could not see where the damage had been - even if you knew where it was and were looking for it. Would use this company again.

Description of Work: Enlarged a small 2-step porch by adding bricks - so the landing area was twice as big and there would be 3 steps - also remortered adjacent porch "wings" and loose bricks and filled in cracks.

+ 1 moreWe contacted Brick Restoration for an estimate to fix a brick wall damaged by an uneven foundation settlement. The appointment was set and Mr. De La Torre was punctual. During the visit, we showed him a few other places where the brick facades would need some repair and cleaning too.. My husband and I were concerned with the bricks at the North facade, which was extremely dirty... For that, Mr. De La Torre explained how they would clean that facade without damaging the bricks. We also asked him for an estimate to power wash the driveway and the patio slab. A few days later we received an estimate, which was very reasonable. We approved the estimate and gave them a go! It was the beginning of January, and there was another crew working on our house - they were adding a floor drain pretty close to the brick wall that Brick Restoration was going to fix it. At that time of the year, everybody was hoping for some sunny days to start & finish their work. And Brick Restoration was very flexible in accommodating our schedule. Once we set up a date, their crew came to our house; They arrived earlier and worked the whole day. Before they left, they asked us to take a look at what they have done. Everything looked beautiful! It was a joy working with the whole Brick Restoration Team.
Description of Work: Brick Restoration did a great job! - They artistically fixed a brick wall that was damaged (a long time ago) due to an uneven foundation settlement (there was a sloped opening in between the bricks) - They fixed a few other places around the house where there were openings in between the bricks - walls and window sills, etc. - They cleaned the North facade of the house, - They cleaned the brick areas just below the windows, - They pressure washed the driveway and the patio slab. Our house looks definitely newer! I wish I could post a "before & after picture" of the fixed brick wall :)

+ 0 moreFrom my very first contact with Brick Restoration to the completed mailbox it was a pleasant experience. The women in the office were very nice and helpful. I was emailed a quote the same day. I accepted it and the next day someone came out to see what needed to be done. The following day the men showed up with a truck-load of new bricks that matched my house perfectly. The work took about a half day. The mailbox is just beautiful! I couldn't be happier. If I ever need any masonry work done in the future I will certainly use Brick Restoration! Thanks so much for doing such a great job to everyone involved! I joined Angie's List just to find great companies and workers just like this. Best decision I've made in years.
Description of Work: I had a brick mailbox built to replace one that was run over by a neighbor. I have a matching column on the other side of my walkway that is the same only without a mailbox. The new brick mailbox needed to be build the exact same way.

+ 0 moreThey did a fine job as far as the repair is concerned, however they got dust all over everything that we left in the room and dirty hand prints on our white entry door. They asked to use my vacuum cleaner to clean out the dust and small debris from the fireplace. They were not very proficient in English. They did however have the lowest bid and offered a 10% Angie's List discount coupon.
Description of Work: Tear down and replace the back wall of our fireplace.

Description of Work: I was able to buy my home at an unbelievable price because it needed a little "tender loving care" on the exterior brick work. I requested a quote from Brick Restoration Inc. based on Angie's List and I'm very glad I did. They came out and worked up a quote within 2 days for a complete restoration. We scheduled the work and they followed up with phones calls to confirm. This alone told me I was in good hands. They completed the job on time and left our home spotless. These guys are true craftsmen.

They finished about 1030 a.m. and told us to call the company with credit card details. The men were very curteous and professional. They did an excellent job for us.Do contact them if you have cracks in your walls they will do a great job for you.

Description of Work: We had a section of brick wall that was falling down due to a poor built arch over the carport. They came in and completely removed the damaged area and rebuilt installing ties and supporting everything better by changing the arch design. The guys were very curtious, professional, and did everything in a clean and timely fashion.

+ -1 moreThese folks were wonderful. They had the wall down, bricks cleaned and stacked into neat piles before noon. A week later as contracted, they returned, rebuilt the wall and filled an additional hole with the leftover bricks (I had installed a larger window.) Very punctual, very quick and very professional. When they left the place was cleaned and we had to keep telling ourselves, "this is not the same wall!" It looks great.
Description of Work: Demolish brick veneer so I could rebuild framed structure damaged by termites behind it. Cleaned bricks and rebuilt wall.

+ 0 moreThey chipped out the old surface and put new border in. They did a very nice job. They fixed the problem with the water. They did efficient work. In my neighbor’s house they were doing some brick work on their gate and where they working on that they poured water and little concrete on my yard and that was bad. I don’t have a grade for price as I don’t have another quote. When they here in my house, they were good in professionalism and they were punctual. They had worked first in my house and then in my neighbours house. I may probably not use this company again.

+ -1 moreI set up an appointment time for as estimate of the job. Mr. Mendez arrived on time for that. His price for the job was great and then we set a date and time for the job. Again, he arrived on time for the job. He cleaned the area for the bricks that needed to be replaced. He even brought some bricks to replace mine. The job was done within 3 hours and he did a great job of matching the oposite side of the gate opening brick pattern. Mr. Mendez did a great job of cleaning up afterwards.
Description of Work: Mr. Mendez repaired the damage of a brick wall that was caused from a previous contracted gate repair. He replaced the damaged brick to match the oposite side of the gate opening. He was on time, completed the job in a timely matter, and cleaned up after. Mr. Mendez even covered some cracks in the mortar between the bricks and the wall connection where the wall met the garage. He also left some extra bricks for any further repairs. He did this extra bit of work for no extra charge. I would definitely use him again if need arrises.

+ 0 moreHorrible from start to finish. Rude, unprofessional, and difficult employees to deal with. I would not recommend this contractor, period.
Description of Work: Very difficult to work with this company. They set up numerous appointments to do the work then did not show or call even after weather conditions subsided. When i called Gregory and asked why they did not show up he constantly argued with me and said he knew nothing about it. 3 weeks after the brick work was done we discovered they missed 2 bricks by the garage and the white concrete they poured b/w our flagstonewas cracked after only 3 weeks had cracked where they did initial work. I called them twice and my wife once they still did not show up to honor their warranty until I let them know that I would report this unprofessionalism here at Angie's list. Suddenly they showed up this am after arguing with me, they fixed the two bricks but refused to even look at as much as fix the concrete b/w the flagstone. The price we paid for these repairs included the repairs to the flagstone. They were totally unprofessional, unresponsive, argumentative, did not show up when promised, reluctant to honor their warranty after 3 weeks and then did not even want to completely fix all of the work they had just done weeks earlier. Their workers rudely told me if I did not like their refusal to fix all of their work I could call back and start all over again trying to get them to return. I had read great reviews of this company before I hired them. I had a totally horrible experience witth this company and their employees and would strongly urge Houstonians to find a more professional brick restoration to work with.

Description of Work: They fixed a corner of the foundation that really wasn't on their list to do and they didn't charge us. They also did brick work. - about 2 months went by after they were here and I found another crack. There was no way to tell whether they had missed it or it was a new one. Nevertheless - they came out and repaired it free of charge - over a year later and everything still looks great!

We waited three or four weeks for them to get the matching bricks they were supposed to order. We both called and did not hear from them. Their communication was rude and very poor. I told her to forget the job. Finally the installation guy called and wanted to come out to check a sample of the brick he had I told him we no longer needed their services. I will not use them in the future.
Description of Work: I used Brick Restoration to give us an estimate to replace our brick mailbox.
