The remediation part went okay. The reconstruction of our home went very poorly. David, and his crew, usually 1-2 people, showed up sporadically, and usually from about 10:30 AM until 3:30 PM. If they own a level or T square it was rarely used, as there is hardly a straight wall that they built in the house. When they sarted to lay the tile in the bathroom the grout lines were so crooked wehad them stop and hired a professional tile installer. We also hired our own sheetrock finisher, painter, carpet installer, and glass company, as we had no confidence in Brecker Realty toproperly do the job. David ordered the cabinets for the kitchen and entertainment center, and we will be meeting with the cabinet company vice-president to see if we can correct the myriad of errors in measurement and design. The pantry cannot fit into the space David provided, and his suggestion to cut the double support beams in the ceiling in order to place the cabinet, did not seem to be the proper solution. The cabinet for the oven/microwave has room for only the oven. A bookcase on top of cabinets is five feet tall, to fit in a four foot space. I guess I should add a tape measure to the list of unused tools. I will stop here because I would guess my point has been made.

My parents house flooded in Harvey and we were in need of a contractor to rebuild. David Brecker required a 20% down payment which my parents paid up. Intially things went well, but he stopped showing up on time (or at all), refused to show cabinet features to my parents, and wanted to use pre fab countertops. Additionally he breached the contract by subsequently refusing to paint the whole wall ( he only wanted to paint the bottom half) . My parents were living outside of their house due to safety issues, so having the house completed in time was crucial. Brecker decided he didnt want to work on my parents house and we agreed to part ways and that he would refund money for work not completed. He came to my parents place to pick up tools he had left behind and my mother told him to provide the refund check and she would exchange the tools. Not the best idea, but he should have refunded their money. In all, brecker is a waste of time and will rob you of your money Stay away
