Bonilla Foundation Repair

They were very courteous and professional when I called to set the appointment. They called two days prior to the appointment to verify the time and address. The inspector showed up on time (perhaps a bit early), and was thorough and professional. I showed him my concerns and he inspected the foundation outside and measured the height of the flooring inside. When he was done, he showed me the full report and measurements. I was very relieved to learn my foundation is not damaged. He did not charge for the inspection. I can remove or cut back the tree before it does any harm, and the cracked tiles are just superficial and not an indication of foundation cracking. Thank you, Bonilla!

After seeing the minor damage to our home's foundation, the gentleman that came to give the estimate informed me that they only do large scale repairs. I was very glad that we didn't have the damage that would have needed his services, but the service person when above and beyond and explained what we would need to have done. He also gave a few tips on how to keep our foundation 'healthy' so that we wouldn't need his help in the future. You really don't get that kind of service anymore; he was honest, helpful, and kind.

They came right when they said they would. They determined what the problem was and gave me a free estimate for the repair. They came when they said they would to do the work. The workers were very professional and they did a great job. They put 7 piers under the broken part of my foundation. I would definitely recommend Bonilla to anyone needing foundation work done.

Mr. Bonilla came out. He was punctual and professional. He took readings and reviewed the plan his brother had provided the year before. Recommendation was the same. Price increase was considerable. He said he would not be able to do the work anytime soon as they were booked for the next few months. I am sure they would have done a good job, but we got the feeling that they were not terribly interested in our business. In the same manner as his brother the year before, Mr. Bonilla did not come with any literature, a contract, or offer to follow-up with a formal quote. He just said to call if we had any questions.

Mr. Bonilla came at 9 am as promised. One of my neighbors had recommended them, she said they were so honest. I had previously had another company out and they told us we needed 19,000. in repairs. We were in shock and there was no way we could afford this. Mr. Bonilla was there longer, and really did a comprehensive assessment of our home with eyes and his computer equipment. His measurements were the same, but he said that we did not have to worry, that the difference was not enough to warrant expensive repairs. Just make sure that we watered the front of our house along the perimeter in the summer to prevent any problems. The last company, which is a very large company and also local, made it seem like a huge deal. Their ads on TV run all the time with local celebrities as spokes person. Mr. Bonilla said the few cracks we had were because the house was 30 years old, and they were normal for Texas soil settling. We have a lot of trees in our yard and he said to make sure we water the front where the house was only 1/2 different because the trees take up a lot of the water in the summer month. There was no charge for this service. His honestly and integrity were everything my neighbor said, and then some. I highly recommend them!

Man, this appointment was a train wreck today. Structural engineer recommended 3 different foundation companies, including Bonilla. Based on the reviews, I'd practically picked Bonilla before I even opened the door. Easy sell, right?! Showed up early, I'll give him that. But the guy refused to get under my pier and beam house to check it out This was our 4th estimate. The previous companies (Dawson, Roberts, Golden) spent anywhere from 30min to an hour and a half putting their bids together-- crawling under our home in coveralls, measuring every wall, put me on notice regarding a plumbing leak, a broken beam, etc. Just generally hard working human beings. Their conclusions generally lined up with each other, too, so I was feeling pretty confident about what lay beneath. This Bonilla guy, however, plopped himself down at my kitchen table after a whopping 14 minutes of peeking through my exterior vents. He said they would only crawl under the house IF they got the job. The reason? Their bid is an "open bid," meaning it is not really a bid at all as it is subject to change, and likely WILL change, once they actually LOOK at the underbelly of my home. Given that their "open" price was already higher than 2 out the previous 3 bids, I decided to wish him luck and send him on his way.

My house had some foundation work done in the last 15 years and I assumed it was time for some more work based on some minor cracks around doors/windows. I'm about to start major renovations and I did want to ensure the foundation was in a good place before taking on all this new construction. I called in three foundation companies to inspect and provide quotes/recommendations. Being a single female, I'm always ready for someone to try and take advantage of me when it comes to anything to do with the house/yard (and car!). Bonilla came out, performed an inspection and made some recommendations, but they said no work needed to be done at this time. AND this matched up with what the other two foundation companies also said. I'm relieved of course - I wasn't looking forward to the price tag of foundation work. And I was so happy to see the honesty!! No work was done, but I did want to make sure I provided a review because so often you hear the negatives about companies. I would gladly work with Bonilla in the future...

When I bought my house two years ago, I was happy that it had already the needed foundation work done by Du West and I was recipient of the transferable warranty by Du West. Anyhow as luck would have it and the thanks the to clay soil nature of certain Houston areas I had further foundation settlement. As such I called Du West looking to invoke my warranty?. But no go. After spending two house at my house and his handy dandy Tecnidea Zip Level Pro 2000 I was told by the Du West technician that I need interior piers at a whopping cost of $30,000. So I said to myself, ?Billybob, you can either cough up $30K you don?t have or go shopping.? Or better yet: ?Put a down payment on that Ferrari you always wanted". Anyhow I went shopping and my quest took me to the talented yet humble Mr. Bonialla. Two separate visits and four hours in my house,the plan was drawn. The 8 man crew showed and began tunneling. It made me think of Steve Mcqueen and ?The Great Escape? ? Good movie? but I digress. A lot of mud and dirt was brought out and they were meticulous to keep the integrity of the work space clean and accessible to the inhabitants. The crew were courteous, collaborative (worked well together) and knowledgeable. 10 days later and 35 additional piers installed the house was leveled. Now keep in mind they could not put back all the dirt so some of it had to be hauled off. I recommend his services and will use it again. Now you probably asking me ?Well if you usesomeone else?s foundation repair you void Du West Warranty??not true! Du West only warranties the piers they installed and nothing more.

Theses guys were great! Very thorough did a great job! They also did a great job cleaning up. These did an excellent job!!!

The service went well. The assessment was free. The owner came out for the job. He spent a lot of time on the assessment and did a very thorough job. He let me know he likes to take his time on the job. He takes pride in his work and spent about 45 minutes on the assessment. He was also very professional. It is a family run business. I had no problem scheduling the service. I did have to wait about 1 month because they are very popular.

We had a crack in the brick, an cracks in joints of Sheetrock in our home. We have a concrete foundation and suspected it may be out of level or cracked. We contacted Bonilla Foundation Repair for an inspection and estimate for repairs. Mr.Vidal Bonilla arrived at our home promptly at the scheduled time. He performed a visual inspection of the house and prepared a layout drawing, and then used a computer controlled altitude inspection device to measure various locations in the house and detailed the measurements on the drawing. When complete Mr. Bonilla went over the inspection findings and let us know our foundation was ok and did not need repair, and said the small cracks were normal in the normal in the Houston area. He reccomended that we use a soaker hose or sprinkler system to maintain even moisture content around our foundation. Mr. Bonilla was very personable, professional, and most importantly, honest. I would certainly use Bonilla Foundation in the future if needed, and highly recommend them to anyone needing, or suspecting the need of foundation repair. Gary

I noticed some ceiling/exterior cracks, called and made an appointment. Service guy came by, polite and friendly, did his tests and determined house was level enough, did not require any work. No charge for the visit! Where are you going find that kind of integrity and service?! Outstanding!

The workers were always on time, even sometimes early. They were agreeable and worked long and hard, and finished the job before the estimated completion date. The clean up was very thorough and everything looked almost as good as new.

One of the owners came out to give an estimate. He was knowledgable and took measurements. His recommendation was to hold off on any work for now and install a root barrier. He was polite and didn't try to sell me on something i didn't need right away. I will use him in the future when the foundation settles some more.

We had a structural engineer come out to suggest a plan of action for an unlevel slab foundation. We contacted several foundation companies to provide an estimate based on the engineer's report. We received varying bids and while Bonilla was not the least expensive, we chose them based on BBB history, Angie's list, a recommendation from the structural engineer, and their company history/warranty. The crew Supervisor was great as were the other crew members. Mr Bonilla showed up on the final day for leveling and was great to work with as well. The only negative I have is for a couple dead bushes that had to be moved and some dirt that is needed for filling in holes left from the work. However, I somewhat expected this might happen in both cases and I don't really considered it a negative. The crew Supervisor did suggest we call them if dirt is needed and I have yet to make the call to see if they show. I hope we never need to call them back out for another leveling, but I have confidence should we need them.

Even after extensive questioning of his findings; he was still patient and went over and beyond explaining his recommendations. In summary Vidal was very honest and a straight shooter. We would definitely recommend Bonilla Foundation Repair Company; his honesty and competence are priceless. Thanks Vidal

to inspect a concern she had about her house. I highly recommend Bonilla Foundation Repair to anyone needing foundation repair. However, the one area that needs improving is it took numerous phone calls to Nancy in the office to get a contract. Even after being told that it had been mailed the previous week it still did not arrive. Finally after a month she e-mailed a PDF and the contracted was finalized. Also the lifetime transferable warranty is a plus.

They were real prompt. they came out and they had the whole thing do, they said it was going to take a week. They ended up taking a little bit more than a week. But it was a big job. They were real professional. They had all the equipment and it was very scientific as opposed to the other people that I had come out. These guys could tell me exactly how far out of range it was. They also could show me if it was back in tolerance I also recommended them to a friend of mine. The owner came out and checdked over the entire house. He said, "you know what, you got an older house here but your foundation is within tolerance. It's so close that we'd be taking your money if we came over and we did foundation work for you. You don't need us to do foundation work for you." I thought that was real honest. That right there was probably a $10000 job that he was honest enough to say you don't need it. The guys came out and they worked really hard. I was happy with the service. They did a really good job. There was some plant damage, but I was expecting that.

We suspected our house had foundation problems and called Bonilla for an inspection. The day before the appointment, the office called and confirmed the appointment with us. The day of the appointment, Mr. Bonilla, the owner, came right on time. He first did a visual inspection of both the outside and the inside of the house, and then measured the interior floor elevation readings. Finally he drew a floor plan and explained in great details of the foundation problems we have. We learned that the front of the house, settled for about just over one inch. We decided to wait a bit, not to do the repair right way. Mr. Bonilla is a very competent person. We are happy with Bonilla.

Fixed our foundation. Price was right, company was professional. Would use them again for sure! Honest company.

We live in the area we hear about foundation issues a lot even in newer houses. We are conservative home owners and always want to be proactive in maintaining the house. I called the company for a free foundation check. Mr. Bonilla came by himself, confirmed the house didn't have issue from visual looking, he also performed computer testing and confirmed no issue again. The office is very good in keeping in touch and providing reminder before the appointment.

The gentleman arrived on time, was polite and informative. I'll admit that I'm not a structural engineer, so I have no idea if he did what he did well or not. What I DO know is that he was very polite and the information he provided and the questions he answered for me were thorough. We decided to go with another company but Bonilla was our second choice.
