+ -1 moreWhen I received the paid invoice it was for $1,669.78 Their explanation is that by $13.65 they meant $1,365. When you ask for a price per pane and the prices are presented as they were, anyone would assume the price was $13.65. I asked them if they would inform customers in the future of the total out the door price and was told that they would not. When I asked for a good faith discount they refused. This is simple glass installed with glazing caulk. They claim they charge $125 per pane, though this number was never discussed with me. And at any rate, I would never have paid this. It takes only a few minutes to chisel out the old glazing and install new. I could easily have gotten glass and installed it myself. At first I thought this was a comedy of errors but given their aggressive response in my communications with them and the negative reviews by other customers, I now suspect I was intentionally misled. Be sure to read the negative reviews below in addition to this one. I wish I had.
Description of Work: Dishonest bait and switch pricing. I contacted Bobbitt Glass to find out what it would cost to replace some 14"x19" single layer panes in a historical building. Three had to be replaced as there were holes in them. Others were just cracked. I asked what it would cost per pane to decide if I should use them and how many to replace. I was told that it would be "fourteen each for materials and thirteen sixty five for labor." I had 14 panes replaced thinking this was a reasonable per pane price. Description of Work: I have a number of glued on mirrors in my house, two of which had recently fallen off the walls. The first day I was scheduled, I stayed home all dayfrom work and at 4:30 pm they had not shown up. I called and they had experienced difficulties at another job and couldn't get to me. I rescheduled. Not sure I was the first appointment, but it was close. I paid for several takedowns and re-installs. On one they broke the mirror. They told me they would talk to the people at the shop and someone would call me. No one ever did. I called and was told the woman I needed to speak to was out and she would call me back. She never did. I called again and still got no call. I have a busy work schedule and just gave up. Disappointed.

+ -1 moreI have used Bobbitt Glass for many years, and sent many customers to this business. Never again. A broken, tempered glass tabletop was cut to the wrong size twice, over a period of almost 2 months. Yesterday I returned the table and the glass top, telling them it was the wrong size, again, and they needed to re-do it. I was told by the woman that they could certainly do it, but I would have to pay for it! I said, " No, that won't be necessary, thank you. And I will never do business with you again." Bobbitt Glass does not stand behind their work, and their customer service is terrible. Use them at your peril.*********As to Bobbit's response: hogwash. The tabletop does not fit and never did. Regardless of whose fault it was that the glass does not fit, whether it was an outside source or in-house, it was specified, twice, how it was to fit and they failed to provide. Still an overall, lasting grade of "FAIL".
Description of Work: Bobbitt Glass was to replace a tempered glass tabletop.

+ -1 moreI called to get a quote for some glass to protect our dining room table, and they were friendly, recommended the right thickness/finishes, and quickly gave me a quote. We didn't call too many other local places, but the quote was about half of the most prominent online vendor. I called back later with exact measurements to order the glass, and it was ready a few days later. They were flexible about pick-up times, helped me load it into the car, and the measurements were right on. Hand-polished edges are smooth and safe to touch, and corners were "bumped" (slightly smoothed) as requested.

We come out to measure and quote your project at no cost to you. So whether you need shelves, mirrors of any size or color including antiqued mirrors, table tops to framed and frame-less showers we can get your project done for you. Our shop team can cut your glass down to any size needed, as long as it is not tempered. They can also come pick up and dispose of any glass that you no longer have use for.
Unfortunately we do not do auto glass, stained or leaded glass repairs or work with glass block ; however we are able to install protection for your leaded or stained glass and provide the glass for your leaded glass project.
