Description of Work: Cleaned air ducts.

Description of Work: I filled out their online estimate of cost. This came to $650 for 17 ducts and two return airs. I had recently had both AC and heating systems serviced and cleaned. They arrived 45 minutes early on a Saturday afternoon at 7:15. They came in and took several ducts cover off and looked at both AC and heating units. Then they proceeded to tell me how awful things were and what risks to our health we were exposing ourselves to. They said the work my AC company did was terrible. Then told me to do the minimum of what was required would be about $1,900. They wanted to paint the air boxes on all ducts and the return air ducts. They wanted to pressure wash both AC and heating units. They wanted me to sign a release for any damage they might do to the wood floors that I just had refinished. The house is 8 years old and in excellent condition. IT is 3,000 square feet. When I told them what I was prepared to have done (clean the ducts only) they got very upset and started shaking their head. When I told them to forget it, I would get someone else to do it, I had to argue with them to put the duct covers they had taken off back on. I never heard a word from their customer service or sales department so I assume they routinely lose work because of their heavy handed tactics. I will never call them again. I did have a reasonable good experience with another duct cleaning company in Houston. These Blackman guys are very bad actors.
