Though Bison Building Materials has multiple locations around Houston, ONLY the Sam Houston Tollway location has a complete production millworks and complete inventory of home building supplies. This is the main warehouse location as well.. Also the reader should understand that BBM is primarily a source for the building trades and those working in construction and remodeling. (In fact they are the largest such supplier in Houston.) They are not a big-box home improvement store, and the main warehouse does not have a showroom. I called their main number and verified that I was speaking with the N. Sam Houston Location and asked to speak with the sales desk. The guy I spoke with knew exactly what I was looking for (a 9-lite door insert rim with 22x36 glass and frame). He gave me the price in about 30 seconds over the phone. I drove there and stood in line at the sales desk behind five other customers. About three minutes later the guy at the desk was looking up the part number. We confirmed that we were talking about the same thing, and he printed the order and gave me a numbered red plastic cone. I moved down the counter to the cashier and paid. I went out to my car and placed the red cone on the trunk lid. About eight minutes later they loaded the new window in my car, and I was on my way home. Bison Building Materials has been around since the 1960's. I have used them since the 1980's, but to this day most of my neighbors have no idea of who they are. I have found that if I can adequately describe exactly what I'm trying to do or work on, someone at Bison can answer my question. In the past I have purchased a number of exact matching replacement items for my home from them, and have always been treated professionally and courteously.

I was very pleased with their service. I would ask the others to definitely use them. The quality of their work is good. They are very efficient. Overall, I would recommend them. I will use them again in the future.
