Description of Work: Poured new driveway and built new curb. Mr Enrique Luna was easy to work with. His crew were very nice and even let me feel how much force it took to pull the instrument used to smooth out the surface. I'm satisfied with the work performed, and would have been happier had they back filled the excavated area with some of the soil sitting there. But they showed up when they said they would, and did the work very nicely. Would definitely recommend this group without reservation to anyone looking for a concrete contractor. You are still invited to my fiesta when it is all done, Mr Luna!

Description of Work: I told them my budget was $5,000, firm. Instead of working with me to bring the project under budget (use cheaper materials, reduce the side of the driveway, whatever), they produced the proposal one thousand dollars over budget without comment.

Description of Work: Put in new driveway and sidewalk. Due to the condition of my lawn before hand, I don't think they were as careful as they would have been if it had been a perfect lawn. I think they could have done a better job of cleaning up some sand that was left at the edge of the street. Otherwise they did a very good job.

Description of Work: Henry Luna, the owner of Big Tex Concrete Constructors, supervised his crew of excellent workmen and did some work himself. They removed the old 60 year old driveway and prepared the site, waited one day for the City of Houston permit inspection, poured and finished the 56 feet long driveway to city specifications in a total of just under four days. | |The area around the driveway was not disturbed except for a narrow strip necessary for the concrete forms. A flower bed full of ivy borders part of the driveway and it was not damaged at all. The area was kept clean and neat and could not have handled any better. Henry is an excellent contractor and will do what he says he will do. If you want concrete work done, you will not find a better contractor or person. I recommend Henry Luna without any reservation and invite you to see his work done on my driveway.

Description of Work: I called Mr. Luna to do an estimate on a 100*10 driveway and that same evening he came to do the estimate. I had to think about it and did call two other companies but were hard to contact. A week later I called him for another estimate as I decided I wanted to increase the area and he came the day after. He told me when he was next available and how it was going to happen. The day before the scheduled day he called to confirm. The first day they did the set up and all preparations the following day they poured the concrete and the third day he came to clean up and that is when i gave him the payment. I am so happy with my driveway. His crew did an excellent job. My 3 year old has a concrete canvas to paint now.

Description of Work: The crew had to tear out part of an existing driveway and sidewalk. They then dug up the area for a new circular driveway The area was cleaned up by the end of the day. The 2nd day, rebar was inserted and forms built. Then the cement was poured and smoothed. The crew took extra care to make the end result look very professional. We are very pleased with the work done.

+ 0 moreI am a very pleased customer to have used Big Tex to re-pave our driveway and existing sidewalk and add a new front yard sidewalk. Henry Luna was responsive to all my phone calls and was prompt to arrive at agreed upon times. He gave me a written quote for the project on the spot at our first meeting. His quote was by far the most competitive amongst the three that I received. Big Tex did not require any money down and full payment only upon completion of the work. The other bids required half payment down. Henry and his crew arrived on a Monday morning on time with permit in hand and worked diligently for four days straight removing the old concrete, forming the new sidewalk, installing the forms and rebar, pouring and spreading the concrete, and keeping the job site clean throughout the process. I was impressed with how Henry managed the project by allowing the right amount of time for the city inspector to arrive and approve the work and then scheduling two concrete trucks to arrive back to back ready to pour the driveway and sidewalks. The entire project went very smoothly and I would highly recommend Big Tex as a hard-scape contractor.
Description of Work: The services performed included repaving a cracked, uneven 16-year old driveway and existing sidewalk, and installing a new curved sidewalk with three steps from the front door to the street level.

+ 0 moreHenry Luna was, in a word, outstanding. We knew we needed this done and didnt know where to start so we called a number of contractors that had good reviews on Angie's List. Henry immediately returned our call, was punctual and very professional. His prices were tough to beat and he walked us through what he would do and how he would do it. (Unlike others, he overlook areas that might be more complicated, like moving the water heater). He told us it would take 5 days, start to finish. When the job started, his guys showed up on time and worked hard all day. We've had contractors in the past who only have gys working for a couple hours - not these guys - they were outstanding. They did an unbelievable job and were done right on time in 5 days. Top notch work - I couldn't recommend anyone higher.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced concrete on garage floor and removed and replaced concrete on the driveway. (We have a 1950s ranch house and both the garage and driveway were very cracked)
