Excellent. We are completely satisfied with our new porte-cochere. The complete project took exactly one month from start to the final clean up at the end of the construction. Each of the subcontractors performed well. The craftsmanship, especially of the framers was outstanding. As we watched the work progress we often had questions that were always answered in a professional manner. Mr. Romeo was always available to address our concerns about each step in the construction of the porte-cochere. I highly recommend Bayou City Builders and will not hesitate to contact them for further building projects on my home.

I left Eddie a message requesting a quote for the job. He met me at our home, looked around the house and yard, and looked over the drawings. He explained to me that this was a huge undertaking and that it would take the same amount of time as building a new home. He wanted to make sure I was aware that workers would be in my home during the months ahead and that it would be dusty and a disturbance. A week or so after that initial meeting, I received a quote via email followed by a phone call to go over the numbers. At some point he returned and we went over details on time frames, the process of the addition in general, and the efforts he would make to keep my home as clean and secure as possible. After deciding to go with Bayou City Builders, Eddie met my husband and I at our house to discuss more details and sign the contract. He and his workers went to great lengths to 1) keep the work area partitioned off from our living quarters, 2) Keep the work area clean and as safe as possible, 3) complete the project on time and in budget. The workers were for the most part all subs that Bayou City Builder uses frequently. They were good to always knock, introduce themselves, and let me know when they were leaving. It was apparent that Eddie insists his subs respect the homeowner and the homeowners property. Eddie was good to return calls and emails throughout the construction. He worked with us on all changes we made to the initial plans and wanted us to be 100% satisfied even with the smallest details. It took the full 4 months that were projected. However, we now have a beautiful addition to our home that looks as if it was always there. We are so pleased with the completed project. Eddie made it all as painless as possible. He was good to make us aware of any potential, unexpected costs and gave us options for saving money. I would not hesitate to recommend Eddie or to use Bayou City Builders again in the future.

I obtained several bids for this large project. I contacted almost all references for Bayou City Builders; I was impressed with glowing reports, loyalty, and multiple-use from their reports. After demolition, subcontractors began their work. In having difficulty finding matching brick in quantity, masonry professionals used some preexisting brick cleaned for re-use. A mixture of old and new created a flawless look. Stone fabrication was excellent. They went beyond the call of duty to advise me of the best quality in the quartzite stone we had chosen amongst stores. The appearance of the fireplace as a one-piece look of stone without mantle is the showpiece of the room. Our master bath was reconstructed with new fixtures, cabinets, glass/tile shower, sinks. Since we were far from our hot water heater, we installed a recirculation pump. A previous closet was removed and a beautiful marble vanity was constructed. Wiring was relocated and new sub panel was installed. We installed a new air conditioning system with ductwork. Bayou City located windows to match other prexisting windows made by company now out of business. The contractor worked well with inspectors in the small city in which I live adjacent to Houston. Eddie was patient with me in my decision making and helpful as I requested his advice. I have used him again for other small projects.
