Artesanal Fence & Gate

I recently had the pleasure of working with Artesanal Iron Fence for the installation of a custom iron fence around my property, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results! From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, professional, and exceeded my expectations. The initial consultation was thorough, and work began without any upfront payment to set the posts. I was even invited by, Mr Joel Diaz the owner, to visit his large shop to see my fence and gate being fabricated and how the finished pieces were painted before installation. The installation itself was efficient and meticulous. The crew arrived on time, worked diligently, and demonstrated impressive craftsmanship. Every detail, from the welding to the finishing touches, was done with precision and care. What really stood out was their attention to detail and commitment to quality. The fence not only looks stunning, but is incredibly sturdy and durable. I can tell this is a product that will last for years to come. The team was respectful of my property, ensuring everything was cleaned up afterward, leaving the site immaculate. In addition to the high-quality work, communication was clear and timely throughout the project, and any questions I had were addressed promptly. He came out, made some measurements and gave us an estimate. He was able to figure out how to work around my air conditioner unit. The crew dug holes for the post and then set them in cement. A week pasted while they built the fence to length and then they called and scheduled a time to come install. The install went fine and the gate worked great. Some people that write reviews on this site have unrealistic expectations. These guys are busy all over town and they work outside so they don't always pick the phone on the first ring, but they will call you back. The other thing is the gate motor. These guys are not responsible if the opener needs the settings adjusted, but they will come do it for free. These liftmaster gate motors can have problems like anything mechanical. There is a ton of force involved in moving a gate open and closed several times a day. Everyone's gate needed an adjustment in the close/open settings as the posts and gate settled under their heavy weight. Frankly, it is easy to do and I have adjusted my settings a couple of times. These guys do no change you to make adjustments. They are great at putting in a gate that will work for years. If that is what you want, hire them.

At first I felt very comfortable with the gentleman who came out to my house and provided me an estimate for an automatic driveway gate and accompanying garden gate to the side. He was personable, eager, seemed knowledgeable. I told him exactly what we wanted, where I wanted the post, which way I wanted it to open, etc. etc. I indicated to him that I liked the thickness and overall look of my next door neighbor's driveway gate, and so he took pictures of that, made sketches, etc. His price was several hundred dollars less than the only other quote I had received, for the same brand and motor strength, so I was ready to go. The other thing I appreciated was he said I could only pay $100 down and rest upon completion of the job, when I was fully satisfied. I thought that reaked of confidence in his product and service, and so I awarded him the job. He informed me that he would be back on such and such date to do the install. He did show up as he had said. However that is where everything went south. The first sign was when he showed up on the morning of the job and immediately asked for half of the agreed upon total amount. He said it was close to the holidays and if I didn't want to give him more as a downpayment that was fine, but if I could, he would appreciate it. Stupidly, I agreed. The next sign was when his crew began jackhammering on my driveway in the wrong spot for where the post would go. THankfully I was home that day and ran out and stopped him, reminded him where it was supposed to go, and he corrected the crew and repaired my driveway. After these two initial hiccups, everything seemed to go smoothly. There was some problem in getting the gate to close all the way properly, but he adjusted for this by turning the post and finally it was fine. The gate worked fine for about a month, when out of the blue, it stopped closing all the way. It would automatically stop about 8and quot; or so from the base. My dogs were able to nudge it open even more and managed to escape a few times. So I called the guy (Joe) and told him what was the problem -- he said he'd be by to fix it. On the day he was to come by, I got caught out somewhere and couldn't get home in time, so I called him to reschedule for the following day. He said fine. After that, I never heard from him again. He did not show up the next day, and did not return any of about a hundred phone calls and texts to his private cell. If you want to spend $3k for a fence to only work a month, then Artesanal is your guy. Now I am having to hire someone else to come finish his work after basically the whole last year it not being operable (we have elected to just not use it at all). WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!
