We contacted Javier Arreola at 11am on Friday. He arrived at our home in about 30 minutes & took some measurements & looked at our gate. He said he needed his fence guy to come take a look before he could give us an estimate. He came back with 2 guys around 4:30pm and then came back about an hour later to personally give us an estimate of $850 & said they would start tomorrow around 10am. The guys arrived around 9am & got right to work. The gate was made by an artist & is very special to us so we wanted it to be treated gently plus it was a bit of a puzzle to put together but with our supervision they were able to arrange the gate correctly. They finished the job around 4:30pm without asking for any advance money. They bought their own materials & did a fantastic job of cleaning up the area, setting the poles in concrete and cleaning & painting the gate. Javier still needs to come back to drill a hole so that we can install a lock. We were delighted that this all happened so quickly. We paid him an extra $50 due to how happy we were with the work. Javier indicated that he had several jobs going at the same time & even came back from another customer after being attacked by a dog & receiving stitches in the emergency room. We were impressed with his hard work & the workers he brought in to do the job.
Description of Work: We needed a wrought iron driveway gate re-installed after remodeling our home. We also wanted the gate cleaned & re-painted. The gate was in 5 large pieces & had to be arranged correctly. There were pieces that had originally been sunk into the ground that had to be replaced, concrete had to be poured for the posts & some welding for the areas that needed repair.

Javier promptly met me at my home after a phone call. He assessed the job (see services description), and gave me a price of $600. Crew arrived the next day to remove tree stump, which performed satisfactorily. Next week crew was dispatched to remove bamboo, relocate a few plants, and mulch. Upon returning from work, noted that a sago had been agressively cut during the move, part of the fence had been broken, and many baboo roots had been left in the planting beds. Called Javier, who met me at the house to discuss issues. Javier argued that the bamboo would not come back, but to make sure, I could pour antifreeze in the beds. This was unaceptable, and we came to an agreement that I would only pay him $500, paying him the balance $100 in a few weeks if the bamboo dud not return. 22-May, noted that bamboo have begun to grow again. Will be calling a new landscaping company and not paying balance to Arreola.
Description of Work: Hired Arreola to grind old tree stump, completely remove bamboo from two enclosed planting beds, relocate several medium sized plants, and mulch.
