I have also attached pictures of how Around the Clock did work improperly. The repair needs to be performed to bring my home to state laws. Seth said ‘it is what it is’ and Around the Clock would not fix. He blamed First American for ordering the incorrect sized coil. I told Seth that Around the Clock should have never installed the coils, knowing they were not the right size. Therefore, they made modification to the coil ordered by First American to make it work. Seth acknowledged it was not a good way to modify and had First American ordered the correct coil, the installation would have fit with no modification. As a reminder, I had to pay $895.00 for this modification not covered under my home warranty. Seth also told me 'he was the best on the west side of my area, and was certified and owned his own company as well. have had a certified AC company here to view this work and they are shocked how Around the Clock cut off air supply and blocked the transition. I asked Seth if Around the Clock was going to make the proper repairs and fix the issue and he said ‘NO’. I asked who the owner of Around the Clock was and he said Sean Hall. I have requested Mr. Hall to phone me. Elaina – please advise me of a recovery plan for this issue as the modification work was indeed poorly done. Thank you for your soonest response. Description of Work: From: Gina Hall: If you feel that you need to do that then you will. I can't control what your warranty covers and what it doesn't cover. I have tried to solve this with you so there is nothing else I can do. I can assure you that the work is proper and to code I was only offering to refund the transition modification because you were not happy with it. I am sorry that you feel that is not good enough. Around the Clock charged me $55.00 for the call out, then un-necessarily $895.00 for ‘modification work’ that was NOT covered under the warranty and performed un-necessary work with modifying the transition And this work has to be re-done which will cost me additional money. If you are unable to re-fund the $895.00, then I will be forced to proceed with another option including the State. I have tried to resolve this with you so there is not much else I can do. There was no choice but to replace the coil. I have no problem refunding the charge for the transition modification but not the rest of the work. I don't feel that is fair. Instead of jacking up the furnace to replace the pan, you all sold me on a job and charged me extra money, for replacing the coil that wasn’t needed. Changing out the drain pan would have been simple. Instead, Around the Clock said the coils were in the way, and needed to be replaced. First American paid for the coil – but your company charged me $55.00 (service fee) and another $895.00 for ‘modification work’ possibly because you wouldn’t have made any money on me. If you are offering to refund the entire amount of $895.00 I will obtain bids to have the modification re-work completed as of right now, I am unable to sell my home until the modification Is done properly. Too much air restriction in the modification work Around the Clock performed. Seth explained that first american does not have to replace with the exact same coil or same brand just has to be the same tonnage. The new coil was larger than the old coil which means that there had to be modifications made to fit the new coil to the existing transition. You paid for a transition modification not a new transition. Everything that was done is proper and up to code. There is nothing to fix. I understand that someone else is telling you different information and that is ok that is his opinion. I am very sorry that you are unhappy with the transition modification that was done and I can refund you the money that you paid for the transition modification if that will help. The other charges were for different items so I can not refund that part but since you are unhappy with the modification and may want to have it changed to a new transition instead of the modified one I can try to help with the problem that way. I don't want you to feel as if you were ripped off or have improper work done at your home. Modifications have to be made on every coil when they are changed out and unless you purchase a new transition that is the way that it is installed. Also Sean is my husband but not the sole owner. I am part owner on the company and handle all customer service issues. Please let me know if this resolution will work for you. I am still waiting on the outcome.
Description of Work: This company first came out and replaced my compressor on my air conditioner in April at a cost of $380.00 through my home warranty. I called again June 14 becasue air was not cooling again and they came out and put in freon. It stopped cooling again. I called on June 24 and they came out 3 days later (even through they are supposed to be around the clock) and unplugged the central unit and said they would be out the next day to add some EZ leak to see if that fixed the problem. 5 days later they came out and said they would check for leaks (why was this not done on June 14 instead of July 2). Now they say the leak is too big for the EZ leak and they will have to order a new coil. They cannot call in the order until they return to the office and the office personell who works 9-5 will have to order the part. They will not put me on the schedule to come back out until the part arrives. So I am on day 19 with my air still not fixed. I agree with the previous writer an "F" is still too high of a rating for this company.

This is not an accurate review at all. The homeowner has a home warranty which only authorizes our company to perform certain repairs at a home. We performed the repairs that the home warranty authorized us to do. The home warranty company orders all equipment and any delay would have not been because of us. The job was completed and the system is working exactly as it should.

Description of Work: This company was sent out on a Tuesday by my home warranty company to assess our downstairs A/C unit. They sent out 2 young guys. "Seth" was wearing a company shirt, he looked about 24, the other guy, ? , was in street clothes and looked about 18 and was obviously "training" because I heard Seth tell him to be careful not to get electrocuted as they were taking the side off the fan outside to test the pressures. When he brought me his write up on what he found, he tried to tell me there was absolutely nothing wrong with the 18 year old A/C unit, and when I asked him about certain things, like why the unit in the attic was rusty looking and why I had poor airflow from the vents farther away in the MBR, he gave me an attitude so I told him I'd be back and went inside to call his office. The girl I spoke to was not very much more professional so I told them to just tell Seth to leave because I didn't like his attitude towards me. I called my home warranty co for a second opinion and after 3 days of waiting, on a Friday evening, the A/C stopped cooling completely. I finally got the home warranty co to find another A/C repair company but I had to wait until Monday since it was late on Friday and because we are not elderly and we had a second A/C unit in the house. The weather all weekend was 85-90, and humid. When the second A/C repair tech came out on Monday, he found the unit to be completely empty of freon. Evidently, the guy in training from Around The Clock had left the cap off the pressure gauge and all the freon had leaked out. I then had to wait 3 more days while the home warranty company and Around The Clock discussed who would pay for the $850 worth of freon needed to fill my A/C unit back up. Around The Clock was unprofessional and the techs were obviously untrained.

This review is false in many ways. The age that a tech looks does not matter. All of our tech's have at least 5 years exp. before we will have them join our company. All of our techs are certified by the state of Texas and by the EPA. We also have them retest each year to keep all requirements up to date. The comment about the freon is just false. Freon in no way cost $895!! That is about 10 times the amount. Either way there was a home warranty covered this home and no pricing would have ever been discussed with the home owner since she did not have to pay for the repairs, they were covered by the home warranty.
