Description of Work: Installed a new water softener and filtration system at my home. The whole process from start to finish went very well. The correspondences and discussions with the vendor were very detailed, prompt, and upfront. Questions were answered to satisfaction. The installation was timely and done professionally. The installation guy was courteous and took the time to explain everything pertaining to the system after the job was done. Highly recommend this vendor.

Based on my family size he sold us a smaller unit than the one I originally asked for. I've been using it for nearly a year now and it's worked great. I've only had to refill the salt once so far beyond the initial salt. Work was done quickly and cleanly and everything is good.

Description of Work: This morning I discovered the check valve on my Rayne water softener was leaking. I called Rayne Waste Systems of Houston and was advised the cost to replace the valve would be $ 151.00 plus the cost of the valve (it's plastic....). I asked if they were a member of Angies List and was advised 'No'. Also, since they had two technicians out, the earliest time they could get it replaced was Friday the following week. I reluctantly made the appointment. Having second thoughts, I checked Angies List and noticed Advanced Water Solutions high ranking. I called and spoke with Richard and asked if he could help. No problem. He was very professional; advised he had people working in the Katy area and they could stop by about 11:30-12:00. How much? $ 89.00 complete, and they would also check the chlorine levels in the water as well as double-check the carbon content in my softener. Received an e-mail from Richard about 20 minutes after my initial call and he confirmed his crew would be at my house no later than noon. I'll be darned if they didn't show-up at 12:02- talk about being on time!! I was very impressed with their punctuality as well as level of service. Highly recommended. Oh, by the way, I called Rayne and told them I had another company that was able to fix my problem the same day. They asked who and I said " Advanced Water Solutions". Funny- the Rayne "LADY?" hung up on me without even thanking me for letting them know I had taken another route. No more Rayne for me...

I made an appointment for him to come out and discuss the system I wanted. He was on time, very professional, very knowledgable and informative. I chose to go ahead and install the system. The installer was very professional, was in and out in about two hours and our water system and purification system is wonderful! I especially liked that I wasn't being "sold". The price was exactly what was shown on the initial email. I would definitely (and have already recommend this company to anyone looking for help with their water quality.

+ -1 moreRichard was on time to look at the problem. He realized that a filter would not remedy the problem. A filter only traps particles. In our case the water was dyed from the iron and therefore it was unlikely that filtering the water would clear it up. In addition a filter system would require installation and maintenance cost. Instead of installing a filter, that might not clear the water, he suggested to use chlorine tablets for the tank, a low cost maintenance free solution. A few days later, Richard was so nice to follow up with a call
