My experience with Richard and his team was exceptional. Growing up, I never seriously considered or even knew about the need for a water softener. This all changed when my wife and I had our baby girl and my father-in-law strongly encouraged us to look into getting this done. Needless to say, it took a bit of prodding for me as I still had not done any research and had many other things that commanded my attention. I eventually relented and had representatives from the big box stores and Costco come out and give us their scare tactic pitch. At the last minute, I signed up for Angie's List looking for another service and decided to check out various water softener service providers. I was immediately drawn to AquaSystems and for good reasons. Their reviews/ratings speak for themselves and are wholeheartedly deserved. After reach out to Richard, he sent me information and allowed me to distill all the information and come to my own conclusion. Truly no hassle, no pressure. Night and day compared to the other representatives that came by my house. I ended up agreeing to work with him and his team. Prior to the installation, Richard came out and took a look at the area. He gave us a rough idea on how the install would go given the slightly more involved nature of my particular water line layout. I was a little apprehensive as to how it would turn out but his team (Steve and Chris) did a great/seamless job with the install. I highly recommend Richard and his team. You will not be disappointed.

Everything about the whole experience was exceptional! After getting a 2-hour in home demo from another company's hokey sales person, a company who pays home builders to install their drinking water filtration system, I decided I would like a water softener, but I wanted a 2nd opninion on what I needed for my home and what I really needed to spend to get it. I contacted Richard, with whom I dealt with through the whole process. Richard is an honest guy with no sales pitch, just facts, data, and an honest proposal for what you need to get your home's water to where you want it. He actually indicated that all I needed for the size of my home and the # of people living there was the smallest capacity (least $$) system, but with a carbon filter on it because the home's water chlorine levels were very high. It ended up being less than HALF (45% to be exact) of the lowest price the other companies absolute lowest price, mainly because the other company was selling me features, benefits, and more importantly capacity that I didn't need. I would HIGHLY recommend Aqua Systems. They are in business to please the customer. The installation was VERY professional, prompt, and quick. If you choose another company, you're choosing to somehow be duped or disappointed! Thanks Richard and crew at Aqua Systems. You made spending $2,000 easy, which is hard for someone like me to say.

The entire process was excellent. * The information we were given was confirmed via other sources. * The install was done the next day and was professionally done by the team * All grass and landscaping was replaced to the original state * They went over the operation of the system I have been totally pleased with the product I would definitely use AquaSystems again.

Richard is great to work with. I emailed several providers and he is the fastest to respond and answered all my questions quickly and clearly. He came by himself for in home consultation and gave very professional suggestion on what to pick. He would recommend only what is really needed. He told me I only need the smallest capacity softener and water filter is not really necessary. Since the price of the filter is cheap anyway I still asked for a two stage filter and the total price comes out to be $1700 something. Some other vendor I talked to gave me no choice in softener capacity and added expensive RO system and the quote came out to be $3000 level. On the day of installation appointment, the technicians came in on time and started to work right away. My garage has a steel frame so they met difficulty cutting thru. The technician called for another colleague who has experience building home to come over. The other guy who is not involved with my installation arrived shortly to help and figured things out. I was expecting a reschedule but they get it done with almost no delay. When install the water filter. An incident happened that the fitting failed and a large amount of water leaked out. After cleaning out the mass the technicians called Richard to report the incident. I understand this kind of unfortunate incident may happen with any provider. Richard made sure everything goes back to original shape. The wood floor appeared damaged the day after. I had my builder to replace all the floor damaged and give me a bid. I forwarded the bid ($700) to Richard and he issued the check to me on the day. I received the check on the next day. He replied me on this matter as fast as he replied my email asking for quotes. Richard is a trustworthy businessman I would return at future. I strongly recommended Aquasystem to my realtor so he can spread the word to other new home owners.

Outstanding experience in every respect! They came out and performed a free inspection, suggested a replacement unit for their existing ailing (and very old) Water Softener, the unit they recommended was VERY reasonably priced (i.e. they did not oversell) and scheduled installation for the very next day. Chester performed all the work and did so professionally yet with a nice personal touch. The new unit works brilliantly (the water pressure for the entire home has improved dramatically) and with the Warranty and such you simply could not ask for a better experience. Do not hesitate to call upon these folks - you will be most happy with their work!

Our choice not to go with this provider was based on the cost versus repairing our current system, which we chose to do.

Richard is great to work with. He is up front with his pricing from the first email. He came to our house, tested our water and reviewed which system would work best for our home. He even advised us to get the least expensive system because that was what we needed. He asks tat you think about the quote and review it before committing to the purchase. It was great to work with someone so honest. I wish there were more people like Richard out there. The day of installation went smoothly, the guys arrived on time and and everything completed within the time frame we were told. They even did a great job of explaining how the system worked and spent time answering our numerous questions! We have already recommended Richard and his team to many of our friends!

What a great experience. From the initial consult through the post-install follow-up, Richard and his crew were the consummate professionals. Can't say that I've ever had a project go this smoothly. Would highly recommend AquaSystems if you are considering a water softener and/or filtration system.

They did not try to sell us anything exrtra. There crew was professional and failry priced.

Last year (2012) we looked for someone who could answer questions we had about our system and the maintenance of it. Even the company who originally installed ours in 2010 had to call the mfr and we did not feel we were getting the correct info. I sent an email to Aqua Systems from their on-line website and Richard answered it quickly and completely. The service techs completed our maintenance at that time above and beyond our satisfaction. This year, they said it would cost $200 to replace the proprietary filters on our system - or $250 to install a new system with filter we can pick up in any hardware store at a fraction of the cost. We had them change out the system. The technicians arrive on schedule and are knowledgable as well as extremely efficient with their work. The techs explain everything they are doing and have always answered my questions completely. The charge is $89 for general RO maintenance. With this they do a water test, replace filters and the membranes as needed at no extra charge. We went through several companies through the years to maintain this system - no one with the expertise of Aqua Systems. In our experiences, the other companies also charged more for coming out. And although I don't wish a bunch of emails on Richard - he has answered many questions for us - without any charge or pushing us to have a tech come out.

My experience w Aquasystems was outstanding. They came at the appointed time, explained their products and services, and asked questions about my needs. The installation team came on time and cleaned up after themselves. When I had some questions about the new system, Richard came out to my house himself to make certain I understand and was happy with the units. I would give Aquasystems my highest recommendation without hesitation to anyone that asked.

We recently purchased a new construction house and wanted to install a water softener to help protect our various water-using appliances. We contacted AquaSystems of Houston a couple weeks before closing and set up an appointment with the owner, Richard, at the new house. During the meeting he tested the water to determine the hardness level (it was low at about 4 grains) and pH, then gave his recommendation for which system to get. I felt his recommendation was fair given our needs, and he did not try to upsell us on anything. The price for the system was reasonable and the system came with a good warranty. I was able to schedule the installation of the unit for the day we moved in. The installer was on-time and worked efficiently, finishing in about an hour (we had all the plumbing, drainage, and electric already in place, making his job much easier). When finished, he clearly explained the minimal details needed for system operation. I have no concerns regarding the service I received from AquaSystems of Houston.

The hardest part of this whole thing was waiting for my installation appointment! After the consultation, Richard set me up on the day of my choice. The installers came right in the middle of the appointment window. We confirmed the installation plans (the water had to be rerouted so that the equipment could fit in our garage. The entire installation took a couple of hours. The installers explained the equipment to me. I had the Angie's list deal for the first service appointment so I don't have to worry about storing salt bags like I did at my previous home. Once we got the "old" water through the system, we could immediately tell the difference with the softened water! I couldn't be happier! I contacted several companies around the time I called Richard. But he was the first to respond (called me right back after I left a voicemail!) and was very responsive through emails up until the day he came out to our house. We already had the installation appointment set by the time I heard back from Culligan! I also think the price of the system was reasonable and very transparent. I know exactly what I paid for and what it's going to dost to maintain.

Richard, the owner of Aqua systems came at the exact time our appointment was planned, he explained everything perfectly and did not suggest the most expensive unit and explained why he proposed a unit that was smaller. He is very knowledgeable and can explain things in laymen's terms. I have recommended him to a couple of people and would definitely feel comfortable in doing so. It is so nice to have confidence in providers that service our home!

I wanted a water softener and safe drinking water, so based on Angies List reviews, I contacted Aqua Systems of Houston. The owner and CEO, Richard De Young, showed up at the agreed upon time to test my water and discuss water treatment options. He was very knowledgeable and did not try to oversell - concluding the smallest whole house system would be adequate for my needs. He explained the installation process, the warranty that comes with the system, and the maintenance requirements - he also provided a quote should I elect to use Aqua Systems maintenance program. I liked their policy of no payment is required until after the installation is complete and the customer is satisfied. I chose to get the system and was able to schedule the installation for the following morning between 10 AM - 11 AM. Two installers showed up shortly after 10 AM and both were friendly and clean in appearance. They did a good job of minimizing the damage to the grass while having to dig trenches for the pipes. After the installation they gave me a brief overview of the system and showed me the location of the bypass and shut off valves. I was very satisfied with the entire process - my only regret is that I didn't have a system installed sooner.

The installation was performed as stated, the system was explained to us and everything went smoothly. We only gave the B grade for professionalism because when we asked the technican to place the water main under the system's piping since it would be only 2-3 inches from the surface of the yard, he was not happy with our request and it showed. We contacted the owner to inquire if our request was out of line and he stated that if that was how we desired it they would be happy to do so and they did. Everything was successfully installed and works wonderfully. We would recommend this company!

Everything went perfectly! Our installers arrived right on time. They did their work quickly and efficiently without mistakes. The installers were extremely professional. They were respectfull of me and my property. They removed all debris and even swept up the garage when they were finished. The reverse osmosis units took no time at all to install. They gave me clear instructions for purging the units and left me with detailed paperwork and easy to understand manuals. My husband had some questions about how the main unit was working and Richard came back out to the property personally to check everything out. The only problems were a husband with too much time and curiosity. Richard was not upset, he explained everything with a smile and told my husband to call any time. We recently had our 6 month maintenance and all of the units are still working perfectly. We could not be happier with Richard, his people and their amazing products. You will not be sorry if you put your trust in this company.

It's.been about 3 weeks since I've had my Aqua System installed. I couldn't.be happier with it. I found Aqua Systems on Angie's List and what a find. I can see why it's rated so highly. If you need a water softener system Aqua Systems is the way to go

Both the pre-sales information, including evaluation of the current water, was excellent. The price was fair, not outstanding. But everyone we worked with was top notch, including the installers who kept a clean worksite and did a great job.

Our house is only four years old, but we've had to replace the kitchen sink faucet cartridge twice, the icemaker and two toilet flush mechanisims. After the last plumber bill, we decided we needed to do something

We had a plumbing company tell us that our water softener system was not working and was causing calcium deposits in our pipes. The plumbing company said it would cost $5,000 to replace the water softener system. We called Richard at Aqua Systems (based upon Angie's List reviews). Richard tested our water, checked out our water softener, and told us that, while the system was not the best, it was still working properly. Richard recommended that we not replace the system until it actually failed. Wow! An honest man who saved us $5,000.

I found Agua Systems using my mom's account on Angie's list. I called them and I got Richard De Young's voicemail. He called me back in less than 5 minutes. He gave me a brief description of his products and said that he would email me some product information to look over. I was SHOCKED to see it had prices listed! I was sure that the prices listed were just for the system and that there would be all kinds of additional charges for the installation. I knew that my neighbor had a system installed by one of the "bigger named companies" just this past summer and he paid over $3000. After looking at the product sheets, I called Richard back to schedule a time for him to come visit my home and help me to decide what my needs were. I have community water that is supplied by a well. My water was so bad that I wouldn't even drink it, not to mention how bad my toilets looked within days of cleaning them. Richard gave me a window of time that he would be there and unlike most places his window was only an hour. He scheduled me for the very next day. He also called me when he was about 30 minutes away to let me know that he would be there soon. Once he got to my home, he tested my water and asked a few questions to see what my water useage was like. I was able to ask him all the questions I had and he was very knowledgeable and never tried to talk me into buying anything more than what I needed. He actually explained why I didn't need the RO system for under my sink that another company had tried to sell me. I decided to go with his company and I would do it again if given the chance. His crew showed up on time on the day we scheduled and they were finished before I knew it. Total time for the install was less than 3 hours from them showing up to them leaving. This also included time for them to answer all of my many questions about how to operate the system. The crew cleaned up all their mess and even took time to wrap all the pipes that needed it. Aqua Systems even gives a 7 year warranty on all parts and a 7 year in home service plan on their product! The only difference in the price listed on the paper and the price I paid was the tax! I highly recommed this company. I have already given Richard's card to several of my neighbors! I have had my system almost 2 months now and my water just keeps getting better!!!

He did a thorough job on the estimate. He was knowledgeable and he did what he said he was going to do. They were reasonably priced, professional and did a good job.

I called Richard asking about a full house RO system because I thought I had a high iron content in my water well due to staining of toilets and bath tubs. Richard informed me that high iron is not normal for this area and instead of just selling me on an RO system he recommended that he come out and test my water so he could maybe offer me a cheaper solution. He came out as scheduled and tested my water and determined that the water was actually better than Houston city water and that a filter I had already installed was not helping my situation. He also determined that the staining was probably being caused by old pipes and that I had no iron in my water. Richard was very honest and told me that he would not recommend a softener and that my water was great the way it is and he even told me to bypass my existing filter because it was a carbon filter and not helping my well water. I discussed a small RO system just for drinking water and my fish tanks and he helped me determine what would work best for me. He could of tried to push a full home RO system because I didn't know any better but instead gave me honest answers and did not pressure me to purchase anything from him. I will be purchasing a small RO system from him in the future for my drinking water and I feel very comfortable recommending him to friends and family. Thanks Richard!
