I spent about $2,000 on that work. It is just this one guy and he is very knowledgeable about what he does and he did an excellent job. He is not the cheapest guy though. I would use him again in the future.

Mr. Williams was very responsive and accommodating: Told him what I wanted, he gave me a price and a start date. He happily worked the job in 2 parts, coordinating with my landscaper who was doing a major replanting in the right-of-way. Everything went well, except that his day laborer wasn't very careful digging-up plants and replacing sod when running mainline through yard. I don't fault Mr. Williams, this could have happened to anyone in Houston.

We've used him before. Did what was need in a timely fashion.

They did a real good job at reasonable price. They gave us a lot of advice on how to work this system. We spent about $1500. We will use them again in the future.

Very good experience. Responsive on phone, showed up when supposed to, gave accurante estimate, completed work timely and in a workmanlike manner. No followup required because everything was fixed perfectly - no more leaks.

This was my 1st time to use this company and I was very impressed with the work and also felt the price he charged was very reasonable for the time and materials provided.

Needed lawn sprinkler system repaired. Selected Apex due to the positive reviews on Angie's list plus their proximity to my neighborhood. No one from Apex returned my call for service despite my giving them a detailed voice mail message (name, phone#, reason for call, area I live, etc.). I even repeated my phone number a couple of times during the call. It's been 2 weeks and I never heard back from them. I know this is a busy time of year for sprinkler system work, but I still expected a return call - even if it was just to tell me they are too busy to do the service. I'm using another company that had the courtesy to call me back - even though I have to wait a few days for actual service.

He showed up on time, was courteous and professional. I would use him again.

Mr. Williams arrived exactly when he said he would. He dismantled the twenty-year-old mechanical controller and determined that one of the gear motors had failed. He replaced the controller with a new computerized model and set it up to run on the schedule we requested. When checking to see that everything worked, we discovered that one of the sprinklers was leaking. He dug around it and determined it was the head itself, not the pipe, and was able to replace it on the spot. Mr. Williams was quick and efficient, clearly knew what he was doing, and was, importantly, a very nice guy. I highly recommend Apex.

I looked on Angie's list to find someone to fix a sprinkler head that was leaking. It was causing water to leak all down own block. Our water bill has been $180.00 a month! We live in a two-person household. Anyway, we called Bret, and he worked with our schedule! That is so important when you are busy. He called Saturday morning, the day of the job, to explain that it was too cold for him to dig and fix our pipes, but he said that he would come as soon as the temperature was above 40 degrees. He came early, and he fixed everything, and he was super kind and nice. Thanks Bret! Yea lower water bill!

I called Brett in the early afternoon on 12/19/2009 to discuss my Rain Bird Sprinkler System. The system, I explained, was damaged by Encore Landscapes during an irrigation job they preformed. I suggested that the main cable was damaged and needed to be repaired. Mr. Williams suggested that the problem could be fixed quickly. He further suggested that the cost would start around $114.00 and would increase based on the damage. He could come out on Monday afternoon(12/21/09) to repair the line. Brett called me a little while later and said that he could come out today around 2:00 p.m. He arrived on time and stayed for two hours working on the job. Due to a schedule conflict, I had to leave before Brett finished. He left me an invoice. The job was completed and I am recommending him without reservations. He is professional and responsible.

He did not treat me like some dumb housewife. He listened to me and then he just quickly found the problem. He could not work on it that day, but what was nice was that he came back on a day that my husband could be here. The only problem was that he just did not get here when he said he would and also he did not call to let me know that he was going to be late. As far as the cost and the work though, he was excellent and my husband was impressed.

Bret was on time and quickly found the source of my problem...a leaky hose!!! He inspected everything and found that there was a problem with my back flow valve and one of my sprinkler heads. After the repairs, he set up the controller to operate on a more efficient schedule to minimize water waste. He was very knowledgeable and thorough.

Job was bigger than expected (two additional leaks located) but the amount charged was at the estimated level.

I was told that it would take about an hour and it did. No hidden charges. I was very pleased with the work done .

Great work at a very reasonable price. Brett gave me an estimate, finished the work, and then gave me a tutorial on the system before he would let me pay him anything. The best part is there were no hidden costs - I paid the same price as the estimate! He's very knowledgeable about sprinkler systems, and he explained everything in a very easy to understand way. I also didn't feel like I was being taken advantage of. I'd recommend him to anyone!

Arrived on time, fixed problem as well as checked sprinkler system overall, covered several pipes which were vulnerable.

I called Apex because of their great reputation on Angie's List and they absolutely lived up to the Billing. I called late in the day on Monday, described my problem (when I turned on my irrigation system, one of the zones was not spraying and sprinkler heads did not seem to be getting enough water pressure to extend and spray) and Brad asked me if Tuesday (the next day) afternoon would work for me (it did). Brad arrived a few minutes early and had diagnosed my problem (an underground pipe break) within five minutes of arrival. He spent a few minutes digging down to the broken pipe to evaluate the scope of the problem and recognized that the broken irrigation line was underneath our main water line so the water to the home would have to be turned off at the valve while he cut throw the main line and repaired both pipes. The irrigation line was also surrounded by tree roots (the reason for the break) that of course were vital to the trees in my side yard and could not be cut. Brad gave me an estimate on the spot and scheduled a time for the next day to complete the work (he would have completed the work that day if it had been critical but in this case it was not and delaying the work to the next day would allow him to bring in a subcontractor and purchase some additional supplies for the job). Brad and a subcontractor arrived as promised the next day and worked well past 6:00 to complete the work. Even though it was not in my original cost estimate, Brad also added an extension to one of my sprinkler heads (to raise it high enough to spray my azaleas and onto my lawn), dug out a buried head, and replaced heads and nozzles on three other sprinkler locations at no additional cost. He cleaned up everything when he was done as well, take care to fill in holes, cover the ground with mulch and replant the grass around the sprinkler head he unearthed. It was clear that Brad takes tremendous pride in his work and I could not have been more pleased with his work and attention to detail.

He responded very quickly to my phone call. He did the work in a timely fashion. He cleaned up after himself when he finished the work. He is trustworthy and competent in his work. He is a real likeable guy. I found that his price was competitive.

When he came to give an estimate, he wasted no time in checking everything out and flagging what needed to be repaired (including several things we had missed). On repair day he arrived and the total cost ended up coming out slightly lower than quote. Gave very good recommendations about keeping the lawn watered and set up the timer for regular cycles. Our lawn was in sad shape, but thanks to the sprinkler repairs/adjustments it's riding out this drought very well now.

This company was a great experience. Mr. Williams came out promptly and even on a Saturday. We were very impressed with his expertise and knowledge of the irrigation system. He did a great job repairing. We would definitely have him again.

I had to call Brett a few times before he came over to do the work. Once we confirmed a start date and time, he and his helper worked until dusk installing the new system. He was a little discouraged when he had trouble locating all of the valves that were buried on the old system, but my husband talked with him about it and Brett persevered. He finished up on another day and reviewed the new system and controls with me.

Brad arrived promptly and carefully inspected everything, explaining everything in detail. He saw the deficiencies of the sprinklers in the back without needing any significant input from me. He installed new parts and adjusted sprinklers with obvious attention to making it work simply, without making fancy and expensive additions. He even left me an extra extension tube and gave me instructions for making minor modifications.
