Amstill did a great job on my roof replacement. I would highly recommend them, and would certainly use them again. From protecting my property and landscape to the completion of a great looking roof they were first class. Sam explained every detail of the job from insurance claim to the actual job. I really appreciated how complete and informative he was. Made the whole process seamless. Thanks to Sam, Mr. Lopez the job foreman, and his whole crew for the job they did.

The roof consultant was presentable and knowledgeable and respectable of our Covid 19 concerns and not at all pushy. We are still waiting on a quote so it would be best if we got that before asking for a review.

They did a great job installing new roof and with clean up. Very pleased.

My first review was submitted before I actually finished it. The whole experience with Amstill went well. All of the Amstill team were knowledgeable about the work to be done, and genuinely nice to work with. The whole job, from removal to replacement to clean up, was completed in one day. Roof replacement is a messy job but the team covered plants and the pool and cleaned up through out the day. Before they left, they swept the yard with a magnet to pick up fallen nails.

The 25-year-old roof on our single-story home needed to be replaced. Sam and Robert came out to give us a quote. They provided a detailed overview of the materials would be used, the process, and the pricing.

Adam oversaw the roofing project and made sure it was completed as planned. It was accomplished in a timely manner even though there were two occurrences of rains. Overall, crew and workmanship were exceptional and roof looks great.

Clean efficient work. Very positive experience. Charlie explains things well. My only negative is the confusion between insurance coverage and final bill.

I was looking for more than a low bid and am very happy with the quality and professionalism that I received from Amstill. They showed up on time, performed quality work, and replaced my roof in one day. They did a great job cleaning up my yard and driveway after the work was complete and even cleaned out the gutters.

I have been delaying this review for months because I typically only do positive reviews for companies, and we had a very poor experience with this company. We selected this business to get a roof repair leak fixed and some other minor things addressed, based solely on their great reviews. I still don't understand why we had such a bad experience compared to most everyone else. Our experience: we had a crew show up that had no idea what was needed to be done. I showed them the inspection report that detailed all the work we needed done, as well as the signed contract from Amstill Stilley showing what we were paying for- a detailed list of all the work that needed to be done. They crew was done within 30-45 min and so I was skeptical because part of what we needed done was new shingles in 3 different areas of our house where they were causing roof leaks (one in particular we knew of and the 2 others that could potentially cause leaks). When they said they were done, I asked them specifically if they had redone the shingles and they said yes. I asked them for photos (because it didn't seem right- there was no scraps of old shingles anywhere) so they said someone from the company would send me photos. Later that evening I got pictures of someone else's roof- so I told the person from Amstill Stilley that it was not my house (the house pictured had a large chimney and my house does not). So they sent someone else out to take photos of my roof repairs, and when I got the pictures, they were only of the minor repairs- none of the major repairs we needed done. When I asked them for those pictures, they said that there must have been a mix up and that work was not completed. As you can imagine, after paying over $1,000 for the work at this point, I was furious. I told them that the crew said the work had been completed. Thankfully there was a kind person (maybe Sarah?) that worked there to help get a crew sent back out- this is the main reason I did not give the company an F. I asked the for a new crew and was very upset when I showed up to my house one morning with the SAME crew as before there- this made me feel very awkward. I would caution people not to pay ANY money to this company before seeing pictures of the work done. I contacted the manager and told him my frustrations in hope that they would make it right, but that went nowhere. In the future, I will not be using this company. This isn't even the whole story, but the gist of what happened. Thanks!

Amstill did an excellent professional job. Worked with me on price and timing and balanced the needs of completing the job on an attached townhome roof. The job went like clockwork -- they started on time, worked hard during the day, were regularly supervised and cleaned up and finished by 6pm. The roof looks great and is performing well. Amstill is one of the best contractors I have worked with in years!

They were very professional throughout the process. When I left a message for them one evening to arrange for an estimate, I was pleasantly surprised to see an estimate waiting for me when I got back from work the next day. (They were in the neighborhood already.) They were able to answer my follow-up questions, and after we decided to hire them, they were very communicative about their progress. No issues at all.

Work was done in one day as promised. Old roofing was removed and hauled away. Nine men worked on project and all of them knew their job, they worked well with each other.

Amstill Stilley installed a new roof on our 2 story/3 car garage home on May 2, 2017. This company is great. From the initial phone call to the finished product they were professional, thorough, hard working and a pleasure to deal with. Sam Stilley was our sales person. He is very attentive to the needs of his customer. Always available when you need him and was very hands on when the project began. Cannot say enough about Amstill Stilley. And Jose, the foreman, was terrific. If you need a new roof or just repairs call them. You won't be disappointed!

Amstill's roofing foreman came out, I directed him to the area in attic where roof dormers located and where water seemed to be coming in through the attic, into my downstairs living room during really long, heavy rains. I explained I had been trying to locate the leak and couldn't actually find where water was entering. The roofer spent very little time investigating, he spent just a couple of minutes shining a flashlight on the underside of the roof decking in attic and said he couldn't see any signs of a leak. He briefly looked at the metal dormer roof inserts, located in the problem area and I asked if they needed to be replaced (older, very worn looking in areas) or possibly sealant coated/repainted, and he said no, he didn't see any evidence they were leaking (although he didn't test this in anyway), just that brief look at wood decking on the underside in attic. He said some of the flashing surrounding the dormers had a few nail holes that should probably be sealed, and some areas where flashing could be nailed down better and recaulked. After inspection, he said some of the jacks on the roof could use some recaulking. Told me Amstill's roof maintenance would probably take care of any problems - maintenance included inspect and recaulk all jacks, flashing as necessary, seal nail holes, nail down any loose flashing, and paint the jacks, flashing to coordinate with color of roof. As I remember, the cost of the maintenance was about 550.00. Sounded a little a high for just some caulking & paint a few jacks but I thought if that took care of the leaking problem I was having in my living room ceiling, worth it. Quoted me about 100.00 to replace that very small damaged shingle area. He filled out the contract, I signed and then he said he would check schedule and get back to me to schedule the work. No phone call, no scheduling - he just showed up a few days later, very late afternoon, early evening and said he was there to do the maintenance. Armed with just a spray can of black paint, and a tube of roof epoxy/caulk he got up on the roof and went to work. I guess if I hadn't been there he would have just did the work and the only evidence I would have that the work was done was that my aluminum colored jacks were now painted black. He was there less than a half hour, including the shingle repair. He didn't put anything down to protect shingles when spray painting the jacks and flashing so the shingles did get some black paint overspray around flashing and jacks. Roof is a lighter dark gray so the paint overspray of black paint on the shingles looks tacky. I just felt it was poorly done, in a hurry, with very little care taken for the money I was paying. Wish I could get paid around 550.00 for less than 1/2 hours work using supplies that cost less than 20.00. The shingle repair looked good and matched the roof, I know I could get a whole square of roofing shingles for 100.00, but 100.00 did not seem a bad price for the repair if it was done well and matched the existing roofing, and it did. It's the maintenance price that seemed out of wack for some caulk and spray paint and 15 minutes time spent particularly when no care was taken to make sure the shingles were not painted. If that would have taken care of the leak, I would not be complaining. Next hard, long rainstorm -- water coming through my living room ceiling again, leak was still there. The only reason I'm writing this review is that Angies keeps asking me to submit a review on this company. At that time I realized I still had a leak problem, I was having painting and other things done to the interior (also wanted to repair living room ceiling from previous leaks). Told my GC about the leak problem, explained I had a roofing company out to repair any problems with roof, but apparently still having the leak problem. He went up into the attic, took him 1 minute to see the small area on roof decking where it appeared water might be coming into the attic dormer area, he moved around the insulation under that area, showed me where there was water stains on the underside of drywall ceiling in living room where leak was located. This area was directly below the worn looking metal dormer roof insert I had asked the roofer about. I put a receptacle in this area of the attic to catch any water until I could correct the problem. I went to Home Depot and bought a spray can of clear sealant and sprayed the metal roof insert, particularly heavy in the areas that looked really worn. Cost less than $10 - leak was repaired, no more leaks. So you decide whether you want to call this roofing company to troubleshoot and repair any roof leak problems you are having. I've always been wary of roofing companies and this is why. That 550.00 was for work that was unnecessary, didn't solve the problem, actually esthetically made my roof look worse (paint overspray) and was not money well spent. My paint/drywall contractor did not charge me a dime for finding the leak and I fixed it with a cheap can of spray sealant. Live and learn -- maybe call a reputable handyman or general contractor first to check out any leaks before contacting a roofing company that will most probably try to sell you something you don't need and that most likely will not address the problem you are having. In all fairness, I did not notify Amstill or complain that my roof was still leaking or comment on the poor painting job, so they did not have an opportunity to address or resolve my complaints. I just let it go. I decided based on my experience I didn't want them to do any further work for me. They may do great new roof installs, I don't know, but I wouldn't use them to detect and repair leaks.

After getting three bids we chose Amstill Stilley. This company is amazing. Everyone you speak with is courteous and attentive. Sam came and thoroughly inspected the roof inside and out. My options were repair or replace and I decided to replace. Sam explained everything in great detail, answered all my questions and even helped choose the perfect color for the house. They covered the pool and landscaping, redid the flashing around the chimney, installed new vents and cleaned up after themselves, all in just one day. I highly recommend this company.

It was great. I'd asked three companies to get up there and identify any issues, solve a water spot in one room of my attic, and let me know the best path forward. Company X recommended new roof immediately, while Amstill and Company Y recommended repairs. Amstill had the most approachable, knowledgeable guys, and offered a very fair price for the work, that beat the other bid by just a little bit. They did the work expertly, quickly, cleanly.

As far as the quality of work the results were satisfactory. Although i thought the price of 875 was way out of line, they were only working in the roof for forty-five minutes

Best Customer Service experience ever !!! I discovered damage to the chimney flashing on my roof late on a Saturday evening. With severe storms expected on Monday, I desperately needed someone to come out on Sunday to make repairs in order to prevent further damage and inevitable water leaks inside my home. Finding the Amstill Roofing ad in the Angie's List magazine, I left a voice mail and email explaining my concerns (around 8am Sunday morning) Literally within 5 minutes, I received a call from Sam Stilley. Not only was Sam professional and courteous, he genuinely seemed to care ! In less than an hour, Sam arrived and explained not only how he would "fix" the flashing, but that he would also examine the entire roof and make any other necessary repairs. I cannot explain how grateful I am for Sam understanding the urgency of my situation and for coming out on SUNDAY to help. I plan on calling Amstill in a couple of years when we need a new roof. They were professional, quick, and fixed a problem that others could not.

It went very well- they arrived on time, worked as a roof team! The roof was finished in one day which was impossible – they cleaned up all debris and left about 5:30. We are very pleased! Roof looks great Jose Lopez the senior field operator and supervisor – very efficient, knowledgeable, and very personable!

Professional throughput the entire process. As a homeowner I had a million questions and all of them were answered in a timely fashion. The team came in at 7am and started to go to work. Even in 100 degree heat, their workers completed the task 13 hours later. It is never an easy job but the did it like the pros they are. Reviewed the attic to ensure no damages. Stayed late to clean the grounds of nails and debris. Top notch job and couldn't be happier.

The new roof job went well to Mr. Stilley and Sam explaining the roofing process, estimate, efficient workers arriving on time, complete clean up of property, gutters cleaned and secured, and inspection of attics per Jose. Most of all we have a beautiful new roof and recommend this company to any one going through the process of needing a new roof. Amstill Stilley roofing has a great team.
