BUYER BEWARE! Wow – I’m absolutely astonished by how TERRIBLE this company is. They were contracted to me via my home warranty company, Fixd, and have been nothing but a disappointment since. They rescheduled on me last minute on several occasions and missed appointments (after I took off time from work to work around their schedule).. The owner John, who is also a repair tech, ordered a part for my clothes dryer at the beginning of July. He let me know that he was still waiting for the part a few weeks later and that the supply chain was interrupted because of the pandemic. I followed up with John and his admin, Brenda, throughout August and September. It was during this time I was able to observe their customer service skills. Between not answering the phones, not returning calls, and picking up calls but leaving me on hold for ridiculous amounts of time, it felt as though they were trying to avoid me. A few weeks went by without hearing from them, and I came to find out that the appliance repair job was mysteriously cancelled (AMP points the finger at Fixd and Fixd in turn blames AMP). I was finally able to scheduled a three-way call with AMP and Fixd thinking that would solve everything. As per usual, Fixd was very cooperative and was willing to reassign the job to AMP. AMP surprisingly no longer wanted the job because in the time since the part was originally ordered, they stopped servicing the Conroe area where the property is located (the mysterious cancellation started to make more sense now). At this point, I became frustrated because it suddenly felt like the months of back and forth between AMP and I had been for nothing. I spoke with the owner John on the phone and explained how unhappy I was and that I would appreciate a one-time exception to this new location policy. He mentioned a “trip charge” to cover his gas/time which I thought was reasonable and was confident would not be an issue. However, over the course of our conversation, it seemed that John changed his mind and no longer would consider coming out, regardless of what he was paid. It was as though he had some sort of personal vendetta against my clothes dryer and I. John began recording our phone call without my consent and threatened to take me to court for slander if I posted an honest review of my experience. He then asked me some personal questions about home ownership and where I live, which made me feel uncomfortable and concerned for my wellbeing – especially when this man knows my address and the access pin code to the lock on my front door. I’m posting this review online because I feel it’s important for other consumers to know what this company is truly like. While the other positive reviews speak for themselves, I urge homeowners to consider the intimidation tactics which John uses to shut down potential negative reviewers such as myself. I gave the company ample time (4 months) to address my concerns and make them right, but they failed in that regard. Realizing they were in the wrong, they turned to intimidation to discourage me from posting my honest experience online. My message to AMP: I’m not intimidated. This is my honest experience and you can threaten me with whatever sort of legal action you deem necessary, but this review isn’t going anywhere. Also to John – I suggest you learn the difference between slander (verbal) and libel (written) if you wish to pursue legal action. I even attempted to call John to read him this review and give him the opportunity to address any factual inaccuracies. Nonetheless, he declined the opportunity. Everything in this review is true and I highly encourage any homeowner considering AMP to look elsewhere for the reasons outlined above. Thank you for taking the time to read through this.

It went perfectly. I was called immediately, and when I returned the missed call had a very polite and helpful person picked up quickly, gave me an estimate, and set me up for a same day appointment. He arrived on time, and was friendly and fixed out problem! I know it can't always be so, but the work was the estimate exactly. I would hire them again in an instant.

They worked on my washing machine and diagnosed a difficult to locate problem that cause us not to be able to use it. They ordered the parts for us. They were very patient, thorough, communicative, capable, experienced, etc. I can't say enough good things about them! I'm really looking forward to using them for more of our appliances. It's great to find someone that can work on multiple appliances within your home for a reasonable price! I would give them an A+ if I could! They were excellent all around!
