I have used this company for 5 moves in the past 4 years, and I am sad to say that the man whom I had always used to head the moves is no longer with the company. I have also referred friends to them in the past, but no more referrals will be given. They showed up within their window, but I think the person who took my information over the phone didn't communicate the facts. The truck was not big enough (and it was their biggest truck), and we had to rent a 14 ft Uhaul to get the remaining furniture and belongings. My main complaint is that they were not careful with our furniture or placement in our new home. Some of my antique furniture has been moved multiple times to different states, and it has never been treated so roughly as it was with AmeriTex. There are now gouges and scratches in some of the wood. The upholstered furniture (an antique chair from my grandmother) was stacked, on top of a dirty shelving unit we had in our garage! If the chair had been wrapped in a blanket, that would have been ok, but it was not. The only things they wrapped in blankets were the TV's and the glass table tops. None of the wood or upholstered furniture was wrapped. They used shrink wrap on the dressers, but no padding. One of the movers slammed his dolly into the brand new wall in our home, leaving black scuff marks. Parts fell off of my antique breakfront and desk chair, and I found one of the parts on the garage floor. Thankfully the other part was found inside their truck. I am so glad I triple wrap all of my breakables, because they were not careful with any of the boxes. About a dozen of the packed boxes were crushed. And the 3 and quot;freeand quot; wardrobe boxes were a joke--they were falling apart and only 2 of them could hold our clothes. We had to move all of our clothes the next day. Careless and shoddy. I will not use them again.

We used Ameritex Movers to move our 2100 sq ft, 3-bedroom home because we received a coupon in the mail. They arrived 30 minutes early and that's the last positive thing I can say about this moving company. The coupon said and quot;freeand quot; wardrobe boxes, and they provided 3 (THREE!) partially disintegrated wardrobe boxes. 90% of our clothes and all our shoes still needed to be moved. In addition, approximately 30% of our home didn't fit in the tiny truck. We had to rent a UHaul AFTER their move just to finish moving all our stuff. Finally, it took them 1hr and 15 min to make the 25 mile drive to our new house with no traffic. Where were they? No explanation. Fortunately, my husband was following behind them at the beginning of the trip when the back doors flew open and he had to stop them and tell them to close the doors. No lie. The movers consisted of one 60s-70s-ish man (yes, a senior citizen) who spoke no English and a 30s-ish man who spoke partial English. After the move, we were contacted by a company representative and explained our complaints. We were told, and quot;I'm sorry, but I hope you will use us again in the future.and quot; Unbelieveable.

Very decently priced. They arrived before time (they called and checked to make sure it was OK) and they didn't waste any time loading and then unloading. When they'd left I realized my TV power cable was missing so I called and they returned within 2 hours to return it. It had fallen into one of their boxes so had initially been missed. Service was professional and I would highly recommend. No time wasting, A+ service.

It was a small move that cost a few hundred dollars. They were recommended by the building I was moving out of. They showed up on time and did the job well. I had no complaints. The price seemed reasonable but I do not have anyone else to compare them against.

I just bought a new Tempur-Pedic bed. They got dirt on my $4000.00 bed. They told me not to worry and that they had blankets to protect it, but it still got dirty. Other than that I was pleased with their service. They were good workers.

Ameritex Apt Movers did a pretty good job. They have fairly competitive pricing. I did not have a problem with damaged property or missing items. The price I paid was per hour. The quality of their work is just okay, not spectacular. The only real problem I had is that they were quite late in arriving to move me.
Description of Work: They moved my belongings to my new home locally.
